Noel drummed her fingers against the table, humming to herself. Christmas was gone, and she STILL couldn't get those songs out of her head. With a sigh, she buried her head in her hands, wondering just what she was going to do with herself. She had no major planned, and was already a senior. She had no clue what she wanted to do job wise. On top of all this, Jingle Bells was forever plastered into her skull as she slowly slipped into despair. Still, the day was young. It was the first break between classes, and there had to be SOMETHING, .. or someone, who could take her mind off of things. As she glanced around the breakroom she noticed a new face, buried behind a fashion related book of some sorts. Her head tilted as she tried to think... this girl was not someone she remembered, but then again she never really paid much attention to the quiet ones. No one else was around though, as most had actually gotten up to prepare for their next classes, or moved around to get something to do other than sit idly in the breakroom.

She slowly got up, making her way to the other girls table.. her tail swishing back and forth. Either this girl was going to punch her, run, or freeze. She mused over the possibilities as she sat RIGHT next to the stranger without a word, reaching over to pick up a random magazine that was nearby.

Her tail knocked against the chair legs, as it continued to swish back and forth. Her face was buried in the magazine quite long enough for the awkward silence to take over the entire room. When she finally peered from the magazine to see what the other girl was doing .. she noticed her "book" was actually a sketchpad. She felt almost rude, staring at the drawing, but.. it was beautiful. The person was wearing a long tailed gown, and had a .. red... was that her? She blinked a few times, not quite sure how to react to that.

She looked back to the magazine, then back to the strange girl.. who was quite obviously nervous. Was she intimidating? More so than usual? She laughed slighrly, then sighed as she ran her fingers through her hair. She decided breaking the ice might be the best bet at this point, or both of them would drown in the sea of silent, nervous despair. "So.. um. Hey there. You new here? ... Or have I just never seen your face through the masses of students that come to this University?"

"Ah, a quiet one, eh?" Noel smiled slightly, realizing she likely gave this poor girl a heartattack almost. She paused for a bit, not quite sure if she should mention what she saw. She decided to go for it, realizing this girl likely needed a familiar topic to cling to.

"So.. um.. you draw? You draw really, really, really well. And design? .. At least it looks like you design, please forgive me if I'm wrong!" She stopped her tail wagging, the metal no longer clinking to the thumps of each swing. She didn't know this girl, and she usually wasn't nervous, but SOMETHING about this girl made her quiet down. This girl seemed like she had talent, something she wished she had.

Noel smiled, noticing the girl flush up. "Heh, don't mean to disreact ya or nothin'. I tend to be quiet loud at times, at least compared to some people. If I'm a bother just let me know, ok?"

He listened respectfully to the other. Design, hm? She admitted she never really put much ... thought into her wardrobe. Heck, she was still wearing a Christmas sweater since the rest of her laundry was dirty. Still, she had to admit it sounded cool. Designing an entire outfit for someone to wear, and to hear them respect it.. to like it? It must feel good. "Oh! Oh no, don't worry. I'm kinda flattered, honestly. Never had myself drawn before.. least not that I know of. And to be honest, I look really nice in that dress... I.. I don't actually own any nice dresses. Or a dress at all."

"Dresses are.. like.. really pretty. I just don't have many pretty things, I guess?" She frowned at that thought, but shrugged it off.

She glanced at the other girl's paper again, lost in thought. Could she be that pretty, if she actually tried?

"Ah! I.. would love the sketch, honestly. I mean.. I also don't mind you keeping it, but I don't really have any art of me. I don't.. think I ever have. I'm really flattered to be inspiring?" She laughed, reaching out a hand to the other girl. "Delilah, eh? I'm Noel. It's nice to meet you."

She didn't mind the stutter, she knew someone else that did that when nervous at times. In fact, she thought it rather cute, but would never be awkward enough to say that outloud.

"Ah? Design stuff... for me?" She paused, thinking. She didn't really know anyone else that could sew, and the last time she tried she almost sewed her own sleeve to the fabric she was holding. Still, it was a nice thought. "I.. would be honored, but I.. I.. I guess I could ask around. I know how hard it is to struggle with classes, heh. But.. thank you. Really. I'm kinda a random, loud stranger, so I appreciate the warm welcome from you. I don't really have many friends around here."

"That's a sweet goal to have. I personally.. have been kinda struggling to decide on what I want to do with life.. you seem to have something figured out! That's a good thing." She laughed, still... rather... embarrassed by her sweater. She began to wonder what.. it was like designing things. Was it something she could do? She frowned, thinking on that... knowing it was way out of her ballpark likely.

"I wonder how I could repay you.. heh.. I don't really have many art skills. But I'm not too shabby with schoolwork.. usually. Maybe we could study together eventually, eh?"

Noel sighed. She was so behind in everythign EXCEPT core classes at this point. Core classes were easy for her. Side classes that actually influenced what she did for a living? That was harder for her. But maybe this was a good thing? It seemed this girl had the opposite problem she had.... Maybe somehow they could help eachother.

"Oh, sure? Science, Math, all those sorts of stuff I got covered. I wouldn't mind at all helping you with that. And hey.. maybe helping you out.. I can find something for me to do later. Not sure fashion is my thing, but never know.... Wish I was as lucky as you, knowing what I wanted in life from a young age. Only thing I remember from being a kid was wanting to land on the moon. Not sure that's a good en-devour anymore, haha.

She felt a little odd... she felt like the middleman. She was good at work, but so behind in it. She never minded helping or talking to people, but had no friends. She didn't quite know how to fix that, but maybe this was a good step, meeting Delilah.
