Taffy had spent his morning bustling around GloryHeart meadow doing errands for the queen. For she had tasked him with overseeing the staff that were caring for the garden during the Rose Parade. The event was often held during the cold months when much of the wood was subject to large amounts of rain and in many parts snowfall. But finally he was free of his duty for the day and had a little time to himself. Luckily the day had been relatively dry and mild for this time of year and it was a perfect evening for a starlit stroll.
"I think I shall do just that." He mused aloud as he headed toward his favorite forest path. Once out of sight of the meadow he paused to inhale deeply.
"Ah how I love the rich scent." He chuckled at his habit of talking to himself.

Blue was trail walking again. Staying away from the hustle and bustle of the rose event. She didnt like all those perky flouncy unicorns around her. She just wanted some peace in the forest, however that thought was dashed as soon as she heard one cheerful voice and then another more feminine voice not much further. She slinked into the shadows to wait and watch.

Bás álainn started a bit seeing who the voice belonged to, then a bit of embarrassment set in. Ignoring the blush settling upon her face she raised her head in what she hoped was a confident way and tried to satisfy some of her curiosity abruptly asking the uni "why is it odd to end up on this path?" then remembering her manners she said quietly "I am Bás álainn and you're quite right im not from around here exactly.." With that she trailed off distractedly thinking to herself.

Taffy looked over to the newcomer. "Oh. Hello. It seems my path is quite popular tonight. I was just telling this lovely filly," he smiled at Bas, "about how it's odd to see Unis along this path at this time when all of the excitement is in the queens garden among the roses. Especially as this is an obsure path to begin with." He looked back and forth between the two mares. "Would you ladies care to join me for a stroll to my little secret respite? It's a rather nice spot if the queens garden isn't your taste. You could tell a little about yourselves as we walk. I could return the favor as well if you are interested." He lifted a foot and made as if to turn to start walking down the road, a question in the way he paused.

Blue didnt know what to think about these, non hyperactive yet friendly unis. But since there wasnt anything better to do she decided hanging out could be benaficial. She softly spoke "Blue Rose, but i prefer Blue" She trotted behind them to catch up and made her position in the back of the group.

Bás álainn trotted at a leisurely pace next to taffy, looking around and appreciating all the beautiful scenery on the way. "whats the queen like?" Bás álainn asked taffy somewhat quietly yet loud enough to be prominent "and would you please tell us more about yourself miss blue?"

"I like to see new things too, sometimes." Taffy added a skip to his step to show his excitement. "Maybe we could be explorations friends. If I show you something you could show me something sometime."
He slowed a bit to turn onto a much less well worn path that demanded the Unis travel single file. It could barely be called a path really. The plants growing on either side leaned over it and nearly concealed it completely. As Taffy walked the water droplets that had collected on the leaves of the ground cover brushed off making him damp up to the knees. "As for the queen," he continued chatting over his shoulder, "She is, of course, very kind and fair as well as regal. But that is common knowledge. What most Unis don't know is how much she likes to have fun! She was quite the explorer herself in her younger days. Back on Earth we used to go exploring a lot together." At this he sighed. " However, she is getting older and has been rather busy getting everyone settled since we've come here. But that's why I help her out. So we can still have some fun together at least."

Blue had never seen such a chatty male in her entire life, she was very surprised. Well i guess if you are supposed to help out the queen you have to be a socialite? She didnt seem to have content for these nice unis but didnt want to seem like she was being rude or reclusive, i mean sure she came out to her usual trails to get away from unis but still these ones were okay. She might even be able to befriend them? At Taffys invitation to being Exploration friends she did a little silent hop of excitement, embarrased afterward and hoping noone saw. "Id like that too....I have many places that are peaceful and secluded from others...." She said more hushedly ,"I like to call them my secret bases."
