More and more Kintori found herself venturing outside of the forest recently.
As much as she enjoyed those she lived with and the small herd they seemed to have formed, it was nice to get space to breathe once in a while. This is what she was doing now, stretching her legs with exercise and her mind with adventuring out further and further into lands she had yet to explore. As she slowed to a trot, the mare smiled gently at the feeling of the opal necklace bouncing against her chest. It felt wonderful to know that she was finding a happier place in this world, surrounding herself with friends who truly cared about her. Everything was evening out. The gods were good.
This was especially evident on days like today, where the weather just happened to to line up with her mood, sunny and beautiful. The wind was just enough to catch under her wings to allow her to coast across small plains without much effort at all. However, she preferred to stay on her hooves - it kept her grounded, as corny as that sounded. And she needed that. It was no big secret that she'd been growing and maturing rapidly as of late, and she intended to keep that going. She wasn't an overgrown foal anymore, as much as she hated to admit it.
Kintori slowed to a walk, spying a small pond, and meandered over to it. A nice drink was always a great way to cool down after the traveling she'd been doing.
