There had not been enough time to even begin to understand what had happened last night. Kathryn had been minding her own business on one of her nightly jaunts through town when an absolute stranger had come across her and after uttering a threat that he was going to kill her chased her near halfway through the city. That was probably an exaggeration. Kathryn had ended up near the library when she had taken a tumble. Somehow she thought that would have been the end of her nightly strolls but something weird had happened. Upon finding and holding onto a string of ornaments that seemingly called to her to handle it she had found herself experiencing a transformation into a uniform that was totally bizarre. To make matters worse she had not been able to shake her attacker at all. Although it did not seem that he had recognized her when she stepped out of the alley to confront him. It was then that Kathryn began to suspect that she had awakened into the fight that Tallulah herself was a part of. From there the young man had charged her ready to attack when she had deployed her secret weapon. The pepper spray had had the desired effect and she was glad that she carried it everywhere with her. What would have happened if she had not? The man had been pissed as hell with her and had promised to rip her limb from limb the next time he saw her. Kathryn had a feeling that he would not be fooled again by pepper spray.

Feeling nauseous at the thought Kat sighed once more before picking up her cell phone. Tallulah's number was still in her contact list but she had not seen her former room mate for almost a year. Putting her phone back down on her bed beside her Kathryn grasped her head in her hands and trembled slightly. She needed answers that was for sure and Tallulah was the only one that she could think of that could help her out. There was absolutely no way that she would go out again in her transformed state without an idea on what exactly she was now. Eying her shoulder bag the woman shivered at knowing that her life had changed once more. She had no control over what would happen now unless she purposely ignored whatever fate had in store for her.

Pacing her bedroom floor Kathryn came up with a pretty sensible plan. Considering the time of day she would go downstairs and spend time with her parents for breakfast before attempting to arrange a meeting with Tallulah. Hopefully her friend was still in Destiny City and would not be inconvenienced by a request out of the blue like this. From there she would have the rest of the day off unless she got called into work on short notice. Perhaps she would just go to the library in order to settle her nerves. Reading did have a soothing effect on her.

Plan in mind Kathryn began to put it into action. First things first ... she had to pretend nothing was amiss.
