Since leaving the Scepters in pursuit of becoming a top Chef Edie had been living with a distant family member. It wasn't so bad at first, but they started to catch on to the fact that this distant Aunt was trying to push them into returning to the Scepters and a family that they wanted nothing more to do with. It was time they found somewhere else to stay, but they'd need a roommate. Their job didn't pay enough for them to have anything nice on their own.
And so, the roommate hunt was on. They were only searching for around a week before her heard about Pawsa and her roommate search. The ad had been...colorful. They could already get a sense for what the other person was like. They got in contact with her, she seemed nice over the phone and was quick to invite them over to tour the apartment and have them answer some questions. Seemed simply enough. The apartment wasn't too far from his community college either. Talk about great luck.
They basked some cookies for the occasion and then made their way toward the apartment. The directions they had received were easy enough to follow and before long they were standing in front of what could be their new apartment. Trying to push away the shyness they knocked on the door.
"Ah, hello! This is Edie, the roommate applicant." They introduced themself from the other side of the door and waited to see what was in store for them on the other side.

 After a long night of studying for her next test, Pawsa was still zoned out on her couch that sat in the middle of the living room. Boy did that room live up to the name most of nights as of late. She was in that state of being partly awake and partially asleep when her ears perked at the slightly irritating sound going off repeatedly. 'What's that noise?' her semi-conscious mind tried to ponder. Yawning, she rolled over on her side, swatting her hand through the air haphazardly while trying to silence whatever was making such an annoying sound. It wasn't until her claws meet metal and plastic and sent said object flying through the air, did she realize what was going on. As it crashed on the kitchen floor, Pawsa jolted straight up, the sound startling her up the rest of the way. "What the f...." Squinting, the hybrid remembered that she had crashed after studying and a couple beers, finally figuring out that the sound was her phone alarm. Groaning, her hand dragged down her face. "Two things... One! At least the sound stopped. Two! Yah dumb a** prolly has to buy another new phone... Joy."
Sitting up then slouching over on the edge of the couch, she tried to think of why her alarm was set. But she couldn't really be bothered to try to remember as the sound of knocking at the door called to her attention. "Now what?" Standing up, and in her bra and a pair of boxers no less, the quite out of it one stumbled over to the doorway and just popped it right open. Pawsa leaned against the doorway, blinking and squinting as her eyes tried to focus. Her ears caught the words that the other standing at the door had said, but her not-quite-there brain couldn't process them. "'Roommate'?... roommate? Oh yeah yeah!" she said, smirking a sleepy smirk. "Oh hey! Now I remember why I set my alarm!" Laughing as she stepped aside, Pawsa went ahead and pushed the door open the rest of the way to let them in, grinning widely. "Sorry! I kinda forgot. Ended up being super busy studying last night. It can be such a b***h, am I right?" With a great big yawn, she wandered back into the living room part of the apartment, stretching her arms up over her head. "Lucky for you, it's actually not a terrible mess in here right now. heh." Turning about, facing the other standing in the doorway once again, she plopped onto the couch most unceremoniously. "C'mon in! Pop a squat. Got the couch and the recliners and all that jazz. Let's chat."

Edie wasn't sure how to react to their first glimpse at their potential new roommate. First things first, who didn't stare at someone in their underwear when they just suddenly showed up in front of you? Second of all, who even answer the door in their underwear that confidently? For all she knew they could have been the worlds biggest creeper! They realized that they were staring and quickly averted their gaze, when Pawsa invited them in though and didn't change they just tried to accept it.
This could be their life here soon! If Pawsa wanted to walk around in their, admittedly really cute, underwear than she had every right to do that in her own apartment. While Edie at least managed to settle in on the order side of the couch comfortably, they couldn't really get rid of the blush on their face.
Their first glance of the apartment was rather impressive as well. Not too far from class or work, this could definitely work out for them. That is if they could manage their way through this application. Alright Edie, just try not to overthink it or anything. Also, try not to stare. Or do stare? They weren't sure which Pawsa would be offended by more at this rate...
"Ah yes, I'm quite excited to see if this could work out. The place certainly...feels like a home." They smiled and tried to be the red off of their blue cheeks. Futile most likely, but they certainly didn't want Pawsa to be conscious about their attire. Nope. They tried to picture themselves wandering around in the apartment in their underwear and that only made the whole blushing situation worse. How could they just walk around in their underwear in front of other people they barely knew or were just starting to get to know? How did you do this Pawsa, how?!

It was quite a lucky thing for the chimera standing at her door, that she was so tired and out of it. Normally, stranger or not, their reaction to her in her underwear would either prompt a good ribbing or a snide remark. Right now, for the tired time being, Pawsa really didn't give any shits. Well, some shits were given, but not enough to warrant a remark. Just a bit of a smirk.
As she lazed on her couch once again, her eyes flickered from their normal bright pink to a pale green, the enchantment on them reflecting her mood momentarily. Yawning, she gave a lopsided smile to the poor thing that seemed to not know if they should run for the hills, or try to deal with her in her underwear. "Stare or don't... doesn't matter to me, hun, but you'll have to get used to it if you wanna stick around." The tone she had carried was tiredly playful. There was a terrible want to tease about that bright red blush painted across their face, but she just didn't feel like it right now.
"You know what. I'm tired of draggin' a**. Want a cup of coffee or somethin'? I need a major pick me up." Honestly, she was probably going to be pretty random and abrupt during this whole thing, but it's not like she was the one moving into someone else's house, so no need for her to stand on ceremony right? Pushing up from the couch again, she wandered around to the other side and into the kitchen behind it, stretching as she did so. Her eyes brightened back up some as she smirked across the counter space while she got the pot of coffee going. "How do you take yours?" Grinning, she leaned over the faux-marble counter top, flashing some cleavage at the poor thing. She certainly was curious about how they were going to handle her... and she really did want to know how they liked their coffee.Leopleuradon sorry for the zillion quotes/edits lD my brain and fingers are at odds with each other

Oh goodness, what were they getting themselves into? Pawsa certainly wasn't the least bit shy about her body. Edie didn't really have anything to hide, but their own attire tended to be baggy and loose on them. They didn't really like to show off at all, but they could definitely appreciate the fact that Pawsa was so completely comfortable with herself. Besides, her underwear really was cute. Edie couldn't help but be drawn to the designs on them move then what they were covering up. They did decide not to comment on it though, that'd probably be the best. After all, if they were going to move in here they'd definitely have to get used to it. Before long they probably wouldn't even blink over it.
"Ah, I could use some coffee if you don't mind." They really did enjoy a good cup of coffee. There was nothing like hitting up a cafe for some of the good stuff, but they didn't mind the simple home brewed stuff either. They did follow Pawsa into the kitchen though, because this was the part of the home that they were most curious about after all. It was definitely spacious and had plenty of room for the rather large number of ingredients they kept around. They might have to tone it down just a bit though.
"Ah, I have hazelnut cream back at my home. But I'm always trying the different flavors. Any cream, or even just milk, would be fine. I find the creamer sweetens it enough that I don't like to add sugar though." That might have been more information then what Pawsa was looking for, but it was the honest answer. Hazelnut was their favorite flavored creamer though. Edie did not miss out on just how excellent Pawsa looked leaning over that counter. They were trying to figure out how exactly Pawsa wanted them to react. It seemed she really didn't care, at least by the comment she'd made earlier. Still, they wanted a roommate relationship with this person. Not that roommates couldn't do those sorts of things, but well...Their mind was definitely completely sidetracked from it's original goal at this point.

Good, good.. at least her potential roomie-to-be was a coffee drinker. The other day someone came over and hated coffee. Only drank weird tea s**t. Not that there was anything wrong with tea, but a only tea drinker would not survive in this place! Needless to say that interview ended real fast. "Flavored creamer? Well you just so happen to be in luck, darlin'! I have about fifty million flavors of that s**t in the fridge." She beamed a big ol grin at Edie. They seemed distracted by her leaning over the counter, and that was quite amusing to her.
She turned, and with a quick bounce, was now sitting atop the counter. With a lazy point, Pawsa gestured to the fridge. "If you wanna take a peek, go for it. I don't remember what all I have in there, but I'm sure there will be something in there to suit your mood." The sound of the coffee brewing was like music to her ears, a symphony playing. Taking in a deep breath, the aroma was something like that which would calm a savage beast... Not that she was beastly right now -- surprisingly.
"So what brings you to my neck of the woods, anyways? What appealed to your inner nature about living here?" Crossing her legs so one knee rested over the other, then following that with crossing her large arms and resting them on her knees, she leaned forward and waited to hear what the chimera had to say. She found others fascinating, and really wanted to know what made the chimera want to hang their hat here and call her apartment home.
