Terry had decided to go out on patrol for a couple or hours in order to burn off some energy that had pent up thanks to all of the different things that had been happening lately. So here he was rooftop hopping powered up as Erebus and on the look out for anything and anyone out of the ordinary. He wasn't hoping to actually find anything, preferring that things stayed quiet since it would most likely mean that people were safe for the time being but he stayed alert non the less.

This hope would be quickly dashed. Leucite was on the prowl, not even Iudicael by his side. Tonight required a bit of tailing for his prey, he'd have to move areas soon, the dealers in this part of town were starting to get smart. They knew this area was high risk - someone was taking them out. They were jumpy. Armed jumpy people made for exciting - if dangerous prey. Which was why Leucite delighted when he caught his quarry unawares, and, pulling him into the deep shadows of the alley, shoved his fist into his chest and quickly removed his starseed. "May the father have mercy on your soul." Leucite murmured before allowing the slumping body to rest against the wall of the alley. Pocketing the starseed he grinned. "For I shall not."

Erebus paused in his patrol when he felt the aura of a Negaverse officer nearby. He gave a scowl and gripped his oar tightly before dashing towards it. He got there just in time to see the Negaverse pocket the starseed and the body sliding to the ground. He immediately jumped down into the allyway and held his oar out in front of his body. "I don't suppose you would willingly put that back?" He more demanded then asked, not even sure if it COULD be put back into the civilian at this point.

The signature came rushing - and Leucite chided himself. He should have been paying better attention to his surroundings. All the same, as the knight landed before him, oar held out in front of him, it was all he could do not to chuckle. "Willingly? No," He said plainly, watching the other with curious eyes. "I do not return the souls of criminals once they have been taken. You are welcome to try and take it from me - but you have a very limited amount of time before he's dead either way." He slid into an attack stance then, sizing up this opponent. "Well then, do you got the stones or don't you?"

Erebus eyed the Negaverse officer, trying not to let himself feel nervous in the fact that he was stronger then the other officers he had fought before. "Just because he is a criminal doesn't give you the right to take his soul." He said then took a deep breath. On the exhale he kicked off the ground and attempted to rush the Captain, swinging his oar at the other man's legs in hopes of driving him back so as to get some distance between the fight and the prone body. He hoped that if he could get the starseed back the owner of it wouldn't take any damage.

The oar would be a problem, Leucite realized as the page came charging at him with it. Jumping back to give himself some room, Leucite called his own banner to himself, and charged forward, aiming the cross-brace of the banner at the other male's chest. If nothing, he had some reach on the other guy, so with any luck he could avoid dealing with that oar until he could make it a non-issue. He kept pushing forward, keeping his banner level with the other male's chest and jabbing it forward, trying to herd him back into the alley where their weapons would supply them with the least amount of advantage as possible. He wanted this to be a fist fight - not a weapon fight.

Erebus had a bad feeling about this. When his plan to back the officer worked he felt a brief feeling of 'maybe he could do this' but it was quick to disappear when he himself had to back peddle to avoid getting stabbed by the flag. He ducked to the side the best he could and swung his oar up underneath the flag in an attempt to knock it up so he might be able to make an attack on the officer proper.

The kid had some moves, Leucite had to give him that. So, instead of acting at all like a rational fighter would, and backing off after having his attack parried, Lecuite instead threw his banner full force at the kid, hoping the fluttering of the flag and the sudden speed at which it flew toward the kid would be enough to throw him off. Then he charged, staying quiet as he moved to drive his fists in hard jabs up against the page's ribs, doing his best to deliver as much power into the blows as he could. Trying to keep the distance between them short. Time to make his a personal fight.

The Negaverse officer was right, it did throw him off and he back peddled farther while moving to the side again to avoid getting hit by the flag. Of course while this saved him from the weapon it did nothing to prevent him getting hit by the Captain himself. Erebus almost dropped from the surprise attack since it threw him off balance, but he instead slapped his free hand on the wall to anchor him as he kicked out at the other man to stop the hits. While doing this he also tried to bring his oar down on the Captain, though his grip on the weapon wasn't very optimum for a hard hit, it might be enough to stun him for a second.

As the leg kicked out, Leucite grabbed it with his arms and pulled the other male toward him, all the while pitching his own weight forward to bring them both to the ground. He did not do this gently, even as one foot moved to sweep the other leg off the ground. The oar came down on his shoulder - still a bit sore, but more that recovered from its prior injury and he hissed loudly, but maintained his grip on the other male's leg as he allowed their bodies to careen toward the ground. Time to turn this into a grapple.

Not good! Not good at all! Erebus let out a hiss as his leg was caught and then his other leg was swept out. He hit the ground hard but rather then let himself freeze he punched towards the Captains face with his hand that had been on the wall. Since the officer has hissed when he hit his shoulder he attempted to do it again.

Leucite had learned a long time ago in a fight, you were going to get hit - a lot. Less if you managed to overpower your opponent and get him on the defensive, but they were still going to hit you back. The fist to his face made him tuck his head in against his chest and as the other came down on his shoulder again he hissed a bit louder. That was getting annoying. Releasing the leg, Leucite attempted to scramble atop the shorter male, trying to put his weight down to pin him to the ground with his knee even as the other rested next to his torso. Then he brought down his fist hard against the other man's face, doing his damndest to put all the power he could into his punches. He aimed for the weak places - the nose, the temple, and the side of the jaw. All places that could easily knock the other male unconscious if he landed the right blow. The other arm moved to pin the wrist holding the oar to the pavement, grinding it into the rough stone of the ground in an attempt to get him to let go of the damn thing.

Erebus kept squirming the best he could to stop being fully pinned by the heavier male all the while trying to avoid at least some of the punches by turning his head the best he could, though he was still getting hit a lot. He tightened his grip on his oar even as the other tried to force him to let go and he punched back, this time aiming for the shoulder he had previously hit. While doing this he was trying to get he freed leg tried to wedge his foot between the Captains hip/leg junction to shove him off.

Lifting his weight up a bit as the other male tried to wedge a foot against his leg, Leucite shifted and moved to bring bring his forearm and the majority of weight down against the other male's throat, pushing down as hard as he could to cut off the other male's airway. The knee that had lifted dropped suddenly down into the knight's gut, hard, as he kept the other hand on his wrist, smashing it hard against the pavement. The hits hurt, but he took them as best he could. Hissing and wincing at the blows to his sore shoulder but not giving up his position just then. He had a good chance to get a knock out here if he could pull it off. He'd teach this knight a thing or two about attacking a stronger foe.

Between the knee to the gut and the arm at his throat, Erebus was very rapidly loosing air and starting to see spots. He fought the reflex of grabbing the arm at his throat as he knew he didn't have enough leverage or strength to do anything there, instead as he was finally forced to let go of his oar he punch out, aiming for the Captains own throat and once again tried to wedge his foot against his leg. His other leg he brought up in a desperate kick between the officers legs.
