Monsters?

With the recently discovered Yaeli, the land of Tendaji has been abuzz with talk and gossip about their new neighbors. They're odd, they're strange and skittish, their eyes glow - but that can't possibly be true most say - the word on the street is that they're starting to leave their island. Those that had met the Yaeli know that it's an odd thing to hear. They were terrified of the outsiders, why would they leave their safe villages...

Rumors are filling the toxic island where the Alkidikes extremists were banished along with the Matron. Rumors of monsters clawing their way out of the earth with oil black skin and glowing evil eyes that are even weirder than the strange monsters that landed upon their shores just one year ago. The Yaeli say that their gaze can steal the soul of any person dumb enough to get too close and they're vicious beings trying to take their children.

These rumors have reached the main land as well, mostly through the few Yaeli that have decided they would rather face the scary but similar earthling races than to have to find out what the terrifying monsters want with them and their land.

Is there any truth to these rumors or are the Yaelians seeing things?

Eleina loved being a mother. It was a rewarding experience and she knew that with time it would prove to be more and more rewarding with each day. Watching her children grow would be wonderful, she was truly sure of it. However she was already feeling the limits that motherhood was bringing her. The fact that she couldn't go as she please was hard, especially now that she heard of the beast that resided in Yael. If it was just her and Ray she was sure that he would indulge her and take to the sea to go and see these beasts of Yael. He would be excited even, since he loved the sea so much. However they couldn't do something like that, neither of them. They had a home and a family now which meant no going off on wild adventures to a far off island in serch of a creature that may or may not exists.

Still, even though Lasarra knew she wasn't about to go anywhere any time soon that didn't stop her from thinking of doing so and thinking of what she would do in order to catch this creature and perhaps tame it. She was sure she would get to name it also, if she was the first to catch and tame it. She would let Ray do the naming though, she wasn't the best at it really. But to be the first to catch and tame an animal. That would be amazing. she would be famous worldwide. She smiled at the thought. But how would she catch it? If what she heard was true it had oily skin that would make catching it with a new hard. She would have to do something like how she had gotten Izsha. A trap in the ground would work wonders she was sure. She would hide the pit and when the creature walked over it would be caught. Then again, she had also heard that it came from the ground, which meant it was a good digger. Maybe a pit wasn't a good idea then, she wouldn't want to catch it just to have it escape. That meant it would have to be something like a net in the sky that pulled the creature up when it stepped on the net. Yes that was a much better idea, although if it had sharp teeth or nails then it might be able to break through the net. Truthfully she wasn't sure what the best way to catch it was, and she really wouldn't unless she saw it up close or got more information about it.

Lasarra hadn't even noticed that she had given her beasts too much food until it was too late. Although the creatures sat obediently waiting for her to tell them that they could eat the food. She frowned, scooping the excess food back into the sack where their things were kept. Over fed creatures tended to get fat and no one wanted to buy fat creatures, and since selling and taming creatures was one of the main sources of income she couldn't afford to let them get fat. Plus this food was meant to last at least till the end of the week. After their food had be proportioned correctly Lasarra stepped away and gave the signal for the creatures to begin eating. She watched for a second before she started to make the trip to the house, carrying the sack with the rest of the food with her.

As she walked slowly her mind wandered once again back to the creatures of Yael. How big were they? She knew what color they were, where they came from, what they did, and even that their eyes glowed, but she didn't know how big they were. She assumed they weren't small, small things were rarely a source of danger, but it was possible. Plus if they really could steal someone soul then it didn't matter if they were big or small. They did have to be of a good size though if they took children. She doubted that they were bigger then a Mammu, but maybe closer to the size of a Raptrix? Yes, that seemed most likely. Though they could be smaller, slimmer...

There were many possibilities, but for now Lasarra was tired of thinking of them. She had finally made it to the house, putting the sack right inside the front do, and was getting read to do those things things she had to do. Those mother things.
