Body: Base p, Mephistopheles has an androgynous look although leans a bit more towards the feminine. has pale purple skin tone with white galaxy markings on the face, hands, tip of tail, and the tip of the ears. (best thing would be ref) Eyes: purple, face 20 Hair: red hair about mid back length although its pulled up into a high pony. there is also a treble hair clip on our left side. Clothes: wears a type of school uniform. Look at the ref for details. Would like the patches and the scarf. the writing on the scarf and breast patch is the music sheet for Devil's trill. Tail: - same color as body, ends with white galaxy markings. accessories: Has a fishnet stalking on the tail, also has silver manacles on both wrists, has silver ear cuffs which connect with a silver chain to hanging ball earrings, also wears a treble clef in their hair also silver. wears a cream colored scarf with the music notes for Devil's trill. Basically all the accessories on the plushie.

Positive traits Passionate Mephistopheles refuses to do things half assed. If they commit to something they are going to give it their all. They need to be the best and this drives them to push themselves past what they thought was possible for them. Currently their passion is music, and more specific the violin.Meph will spend hours studying and writing and practicing music. However Meph will often carry this over into anything that they do. If they are assigned a project, or a team they'll definitely become one of the driving forces to succeeding.
Persistent Once they set their eyes on something, Mephistopheles will throw themselves into whatever they want to accomplish until they get it. They aren’t afraid of failure, since it just shows them what they don’t need to do, and set backs are just a way of riling Meph up even more to get the job done
Persuasive- Meph knows how to talk to people, how to cheer them up, how to calm some one down from doing something stupid. They can also turn it a bit more negatively as well as they often will use this skill to get some one to reveal more than they want. This ability mixed in with some of Meph's other traits makes them easy to trust.
Negative traits
Manipulative- Meph wants to see what they can get away with. They love mind games although there is a subtlety they use to their mind games. they don't want you to know they're manipulating you. They're prefer being more the shadow behind the king. Mephistopheles doesn't mind showing you their true self but at times they will admit that its more fun to read people and mold themselves to an image that will disarm their prey into giving them what Meph wants.
competitive Meph is ridiculously competitive. they need to be the best, Meph needs to win, and they need to be seen as knowing the most. If they lose it makes generally unpleasant to be around for a few hours... as such Meph can be spending their time in better ways and they'll try to skirt around having to participate in competitive things such as sports. only exception is probably music competitions.
Mischievous Meph is extremely mischievous. They are always up for a harmless prank or even sneaking into places that they really shouldn't be. Get them near a deck of cards; you’re likely to lose all your money. They're also extremely well at hiding when they don't want to be found. This isn't their worst bad trait but they do fail prey to it quite often.
General Personality On the outside Meph is a cheerful friendly goblin that has a passion for the arts and is hard working in any project lucky enough to have them. They are there as a listening ear for their friends and at times the voice of reason, leading their people when needed and are rather loyal. They have a love of adventure and are often fascinated with the unknown.
However that’s only one side of the coin, the other side Meph suffers from slight recklessness which tends to drive their friends and family to grey hair. Unfortunately Meph also suffers from a high competitive and extremely possessive nature which leads to more manipulative tendencies. They’re the type to be the shadow behind the throne making sure everything fits the way they want.
Likes Tea they in fact like a lot of different drinks such as most fruit juices, and soda. However their greatness weakness is probably fruit teas especially guava tea. As its one of their passions they can get a bit carried away when you bring the subject up.
music music is everything. Mephistopheles will often be researching other composers or hidden away in his room practicing on what ever instrument they decided to try to learn that month. more often than not Meph will be playing or tuning their violin.
storms has always been drawn to bad weather, especially if there is a thunderstorm. Meph will often go out to a covered balcony to watch the storm. On particularly wet windy days they'll even venture out to play/dance in puddles or just dance for the hell of it.
dislikes mirrors sure they are fine during the day, and its always nice to see how fabulous one looks that day but at night... ahaha that's a whole different story. Meph finds them absolutely creepy and if they're having a particularly bad night they are known to cover all the mirrors they can get away with.
pickles Mephistopheles is a bit odd, and definitely doesn't keep that a secret. however their dislike of pickles actually leans towards a more health complication. Meph actually allergic to them, not to mention they smell horrible.
authority this isn't to say they're going to suddenly pick up a Pickett sign and start protesting on city hall about injustices or that they're going to run around as a hooligan while at school. They are quite happy to listen to more experienced and wiser people like the head mistress and the teachers, but when it comes to people around their own age they need to be control of the situation, they need to know every little nuance and influence it in some way.
Goals Mephistopheles wants to write music, and/or to become a world renown violin player. they want to see how far they can go with their talents and to have fun and stir up lots of trouble while they're accomplishing it. Darkest fears Meph doesn't really have any deep dark fears. this isn't to say they aren't afraid of anything. Mephistopheles has plenty of fears such as mirrors late at night and standing over deep water whether its a dock or a boat but those are just run of the mill things. Being a goblin Mephistopheles doesn't feel like they are a really good goblin. sure they have the whole secrecy down but they want to preform for large audiences, when they write music they dont just want to perform for their own race they want to perform for everyone. Meph wants to see how far they can get... maybe even one day perform or conduct their own symphony for a multiracial audience. They also cant stand hot sauce and don't see what all the feuding and love for it is. At times this will affect their relationship with other goblins since Meph doesn't feel like they connect with them too much. It will also occasionally cause strife with their family as they worry about Meph. It doesn't help either that their family is constantly trying to get Meph to understand the wonders of hot sauces of course their nonchalant attitude spreads to the other races. Mephistopheles doesn't judge you on who or what you where born as, they judge you by your person. the only time they might care what race you are is if they need to know a racial trait in order to play you better. Life at school Mephistopheles finds below fascinating. It did take several months of playing up and convincing their parents to send Meph down here after all. They don't have to worry about hot sauce or if they are revealing too much of their race. They even have a house that is all about the arts. Mind you Meph does wish that everyone they met wasn't so friendly but its only a mild inconvenience.

Life so far Meph had an interesting start. Faust, their father, had met Mina, their mother, on a heist. He had been spotted by the police and was forced to climb over Mina's family's wall and into her room. Mina had then predictably freaked out and ended up trying to fend him off by throwing her pillows at his head. Her spunk amused Faust so much that he kept coming back night after night. Mina to this day wasn't quite sure why she hadn't just called the police. Maybe it was that she could sense he meant no harm and being somewhat sickly she didn't have too many friends and here was someone that wanted to get to know her. Faust was charming, witty, and had that bad boy flair. Before long they were courting and eventually married.
Eventually they ended up imbuing Mephistopheles who then proved they took after their father quite a bit by being a total handful. As soon as they were old enough Meph was always sneaking out of the house and exploring, sometimes some of these places werent exactly open to the public, which was always landing them in trouble for trespassing but they liked the thrill of danger and almost getting caught. Eventually Meph started taking after their father in other ways by starting to pick up teaching. Faust was rather amused and often encouraged their skills. This unfortunately drove Mina crazy with worry since not only did Meph's mother have to worry about their father, but now they had to worry about Meph themselves. Meph’s mother tried to introduce Meph into a ton of new hobbies in hopes that something safer would catch Meph’s attention. Unfortunately Meph hated being forced into all these different things they had no interest in and Meph lashed out becoming even wilder eventually getting into trouble with the law.
It was then the family moved to below in order to try to have a new start and Meph was introduced to Music taking an instant liking to it.While they still did some not so law abiding activities, they did calm down as they started getting absorbed in their music studies becoming rather good at composing and the violin in general, enough that Meph finally decided to go to university to get a music degree and maybe not give their mother so many grey hairs.
Your Nightmare sees an abandoned plushie sitting on the ground by a tree in the courtyard. It looks nearly new and kind of expensive! What does your Nightmare do after they notice it?
The only bad part about moving to below was that Mephistopheles really didn’t know any one. All of their friends, or at least the daydreams that could be considered friends, had opted to be rather boring and stayed in above. Luckily this meant that no one really knew of Meph’s reputation but at the same time it meant they didn’t have a fresh supply of vic… uh they didn’t have companions Meph could call upon to ease their boredom.
It also didn’t help that the sky had decided to open up and was currently in the process of drenching everything. Mephistopheles did have an umbrella but the wind kept picking it up and if Meph didn’t hold a tight grip on the handle the umbrella would go flying off and Meph by now was just as wet. It was shaping up to be a rather horrid day. Wet and bored where not on the top of Meph’s favorites. Still Mephistopheles would rather be out here fighting the elements than cooped up in their room for another day.
So it was only by pure chance that Meph spotted it out of the corner of their eye. Well chance and the fact that in a grey dreary landscape a splash of color rather stood out. Meph walked over and crouched down looking at the poor drenched plushie. It was rather sad looking and Meph knew the likelihood of it ever making its way back into the hands of its owner where extremely slim, not only was Meph the only one out here but it had been storming for a good three days now. Ah well It was none of their business. With that Meph got up leaving the plushie sitting on the bench and started walking away…
Or that was the plan. Almost against their will Meph turned around and walked back to the plushie. They had a washer and dryer and Meph could totally clean them up. If they had lost their original family then Meph would give them a new home. It wasn’t like the goblin hated plushies after all, they did have a sense of cuteness to them after all.

Personality: Just an observation: Meph and Apollyon both share the possessiveness and Eloquent traits. She's okay with the secrecy, but goes against the general goblin notion of not standing out. Does this affect her relationships with more traditional goblins (or family?)
Backstory: How did her parents meet and why did her mother decide to stay with a thief in the first place? o u o I'm curious. Any trouble with the law?
changed up the traits a bit, and added a part about their relationship with other Goblins.
