Hey guys! Happy new year! I hope everyone had a good New Years Eve, and I hope its a good year for everyone!
What are some of your plans for 2016?
I'm hoping to get my financial situation back under control and maybe finish a couple of my own novels-in-progress. A horror novel and a sci-fi novel. And maybe, if I can manage to get my art flow going again, I can get the art and such done for my fantasy visual novel.
I also want to start drawing a lot more again this year. Last year I kind of hit an art block about half-way through and I've drawn like, maybe four things in the last six months.
I've got quite a few games I have purchased and neglected on Steam too, and I was thinking of actually starting up doing some play through videos on Youtube. I've dabbled with the idea previously, but my equipment wasn't good enough and I'm extremely self-conscious. Heh.
So yeah. What are your plans for this year?

Happy 2016! My goals are simple.
Sort my financial s**t out [Mortgage, bills and work being s**t due b***h manager not helping things.]
Get pregnant. This has been on my list for three years now, just hoping to hear from a fertility clinic soon to find out wtf is going on down there. Me and my partner are starting to seriously worry.
Read more outside of my comfort zone. My partner pointed out that the only authors I read are female, so I have resolved to read more male authored books. They still have to catch my interest, but I need to stop veering away from the male side of fiction.
See more of my dad, and do more on my days off than slob around the house cos my bodyclock is ******** a few more penpals, and respond quicker.
Roleplay more, keep the idea's flowing, and create a cosplay rather than buying one. [I have a dress for a Megara from Hercules cosplay. I am so gonna do it.]
So, yeah, that's me for this year.

Happy New Year everyone!
I just had my thesis printed. I'm handing it in tomorrow, so that's already one big accomplishment. Some of my plans for this year are these:
As soon as my thesis is accepted, I'll start looking for a teaching job. Until then, I'll start preparing basic stuff for potential classes so once I get the job I won't have to rush as much trying to prepare everything.
Meanwhile, I want to clean up and decorate my apartment so it feels more like a home and so I can invite people over and feel good about it. Right now it's clean, but there are so many things that don't have a place to go. I need to buy a few more shelves and move things around. sweatdrop
I'm going to start writing fiction again. ^_^ I've had this novel project lying around for some time.
I also want to prepare a Pathfinder game to be the dungeon master for my group.

Good luck with the pregnancy! I hope you find out and that you can figure a way to solve whatever problem there might be. Don't give up hope. Also while some variety in your readings will certainly be nice, I must congratulate you on reading mostly female writers. It's not always easy to find them. Some of my friends have noticed around here we read about 80-90% male authors because they're just the better-known ones, and female authors are not quite as numerous. I don't know if it's as bad with English literature but... yeah, congrats on that.

FindingJackie You manage to keep up with three writing projects at a time? Wow, I can't even handle two. XD Good luck with your projects! And if you're published, please let us know! I'm tempted to make it four, there's another story I've been working on that I've been poking at for a while, and there's another sci-fi story I've been tossing ideas around for on paper for a little while now. There's also a finished manuscript that needs a second draft. I have a lot of ideas. I need to rewrite the beginning of the fantasy story, and fill in bits of what I have so far, but that can wait for the second draft. At that point, I'm probably going to be looking for some beta readers. So if you'd be interested, I can let you know when I get to that point.

My understanding of syntax and such may be a little off, however, since English is my second language. I can try to help anyways. ^_^ What's the story about?

I can try to help anyways. ^_^ What's the story about? Well, its kind of a fantasy-horror story. A young woman is having strange dreams and is basically told by the Dream God that she has to destroy a corrupted soul who has taken over a dreamscape called Maroque, named herself its queen and populated it with other corrupted souls whose forms have twisted into monsters under her influence. There's like a giant serpent and a huge carnivorous rose monster and a giant magic fish and her only companions are another dreamer (a patient in a mental institution), and a weird little demonic lizard woman who doesn't seem to like her much but is guiding her toward her purpose. And there's a crazy old man named Seamus who may or may not be psychic. He's a fun secondary character to write.
