A heavy book of aged parchment, bound in skin of some sort, stretched tight over wood; It is said that the wood is the poisonous and immortal yew and the skin belonged to some creature of the ancient world. The parchment is old and much of the gold embossing has been warn away by time.

Legend has it that in this Grimoire holds instructions for committing the most heinous of acts... Conjuring demons, summoning Angels or healing the worst of illnesses.... Though to look inside the book requires that their be magic in your blood, or all others the pages will be unreadable, if the book opens at all.....

A grimoire is a textbook of magic, typically including instructions on how to create magical objects like talismans and amulets; how to perform magical spells; charms and divination; and how to summon or invoke supernatural entities such as angels, spirits, and demons. Some cases tell that the books themselves are believed to be imbued with magical powers, others follow the belief that the words themselves have hold the power.

There were three ancient books crafted that every aspect of their creation was built with layer after layer of magic and enchantments, making the tomes themselves into talismans of power.

The Key of Solomon: Was crafted by King Solomon himself. Solomon wrote the book for his son Rehoboam, and commanded him to hide the book in his sepulchre upon his death. After many years the book was discovered by a group of Babylonian philosophers repairing Solomon's tomb. None could interpret the text, until one of them, Iohé Grevis, suggested that they should entreat the Lord for understanding. The Angel of the Lord appeared to him and extracted a promise that he would keep the text hidden from the unworthy and the wicked, after which he was able to read it plainly. Iohé Grevis then placed a conjuration on the book that the unworthy, the unwise or those who did not fear God would not attain the desired effect from any of the workings contained therein.

Arbatel de magia veterum: Unlike some other occult manuscripts that contain dark magic and malicious spells, the Arbatel contains spiritual advice and guidance on how to live an honest and honorable life. The focus of the Arbatel is on nature, and the natural relationships between humanity and a celestial hierarchy. It centers on the positive relationships between the celestial world and humans, and the interactions between the two.

The Golden Grimoire: said to be the Book Of Shadows of Merlin the Magician, a glipse into hell to do works of good. The book contains lore and alchemy alike, with no small amount of prophecy.

As all Gods are but faces of the One, so it is believed that each Magical Tome is but one lock securing the secrets of greater knowledge from the Materia Dracones or Materia Angelorum. As all locks must, these Tomes each have keys.

The key is always cut to a different shape, and one key will not fit into all locks. For a book the key is always a word, and as all words have power you seek a Word of Power or Verbo virtutis Dei...

Once the word is found, knowledge will abound.

User ImageUser ImageThe cornerstones of the Art are found in the natural world. The Pillars that support the great natural Temples found in nature, from which our Lore is gleaned. The four supporting aspects that allow us to build upon the nature of creation and give us Magick.

To Know: One values knowledge as everything learned is only a part of a larger puzzle. This includes knowledge and understanding of the gods and goddesses and not just by "book learning", but through personal experience; thus it means use. This pillar corresponds to the element of Air, which represents reason, intellect, intuition and wisdom.

To Dare: Be willing to take risks, not go in blindly and without thought. Approach any task boldly, be willing to face mysteries to investigate and experience as well as embrace the mysteries that surround one. This pillar corresponds with the element of Water, which represents courage, emotions and one's heart.

User ImageUser ImageTo Will: A deep and heartfelt belief, "If you do not believe you can succeed, you will not succeed". But one should not shy away from opposition of beliefs, but understand and believe what is in your heart. This pillar corresponds to the element of Fire, which represents discipline, one's skills, concentration and drive.

To be Silent: Magick is a gift, thus one should not "brag" or "threaten" others concerning the use of magic. Further magic will lose its potency when spoken aloud to others after the spell or incantation has been preformed. This pillar corresponds with the element of Earth, which represents cleansing and grounding of one's mind.

Once each Pillar has been built within yourself you will be able to perform many great works. In this world and in all worlds.
