She had felt the shell give way, had felt it crack and shatter, under her foot and would have jumped for joy if she hadn't been backing away from the creature as it dissolved into dust, some of which was already being blown away whilst even more remained on the ground. She had seen the rocks hitting the shell, some right where he foot had landed, and knew the little senshi had been helping her. it brought a smile to her face, even though she was also filled with concern for the little girl and what could have been had she not turned up.

Turning toward the little girl, a smile plastered onto her face, she froze when she saw the weeping girl hugging her dog. Her smile fell some as she made her way toward her. Sinking down onto the ground she pulled the smaller senshi into her arms. "It's ok, you did well. We won and your dog is safe and so are we." And anyone else that youma might have gone after had they not been there to defeat it.

"You should be proud of yourself." She whispered into the girls hair as she held her. She had wanted to tell the girl that she shouldn't be fighting youma on her own, that she should have other people she could call for help, but that was before she'd seen her crying. Now she knew she needed to keep in contact with this little one. She would be a phone call away and help to keep her safe, help her fight whenever needed.

Ellicott didn't resist when the older senshi gathered her in her arms. It had been such a long time since she had cried like this, as if her very heart had been broken. “I...I… Did nothing,” she said in between sobs, the sound muffled in the uniform of the older girl, her accent making it worse. Her clutching fingers found the tear in the cloth that the youma had created. “You got hurt! Because of me,” the little figure weakly tried to push away. To distance herself in a misguided attempt to protect the older girl. “You will only get hurt more.” Her struggles got weaker as her sobs slowly faded.

Lethargy was weighing down her limbs and making her head feel as if it was stuffed with cotton. “Everyone who knows me eventually gets hurt.” It was practically whispered as Ellicott wiped away the last of her tears, leaving streaks of dirt behind. “Proud? Of what?” Her voice was soft and oddly emotionless as she focused on the ground, unable to look her savior in the face. “I did nothing but put you in danger. You are the one who saved Sherlock. The one who killed the youma. Not me,” the dog had snuck up and buried his nose in Ellicott’s side with a whine. “Useless, Sherlock. I am useless.” A few more lone tears fell, leaving tracks on her dirty cheeks.

"That's not true. You did use your magic, I know you helped me. You threw those rocks also. You didn't do nothing - you did a lot. You were also brave, how many others your age could do what you did?" She questioned gently of the other. When the other tried to pull away, just because she was injured and her uniform ripped, she shook her head and clutched the girl tighter to herself.

"It's fine. i went into this knowing I could get hurt. It's nothing you did. It happens in a fight. You have to accept it as a possibility before you jump into a fight." Or perhaps, in the case of some people, you didn't have to and you could go into things with an ego the size of a small country and full of too much confidence. But she doubted many senshi, or knights, did that.

"You are not useless and I'm not hurt. I'm fine." She had taken an injury but nothing too serious. She wasn't about to let the little senshi continue to be upset, to blame herself for so much. Petting the girls hair she sighed and shifted the little one in her hold. "We should get you home, you look tired. But I want to keep in touch with you." To keep her safe and keep an eye on her. She seemed to think herself a burden of sorts, that she was useless and got people hurt. It wasn't a good way to view yourself. "Perhaps we can go out to lunch together and we can talk." Even if there was a massive age difference between them both. The little one was still a senshi and she was hurting and needed a friend.

"My own magic is fairly useless also. So don't think so harshly of yourself. We're all different and you did help."

Ellicott looked up in surprise, her brown eyes searching the eyes of the other senshi. “You mean it helped? My magic helped?” Even after being a chibi senshi for as long as she had Ellicott still had doubts if she even had any magic since she never really saw a physical reaction when she called out her power. If she hadn't felt the force well up within her as her bare feet drummed the ground then she would be completely convinced that the cat who found her all those nights ago was completely mistaken. She gave her head a slight shake, trying to dislodge the stuffy feeling she had incurred with her sobbing. “Anyone could have done the rocks and you would be surprised about how many kids my age are fighting.” Ellicott absently stared off into the darkness as a free hand patted Sherlock on the head. “It's ok boy. It's ok now.”

“Why fight? Why risk getting hurt for people who don't even know your fighting? For people who don't even care?” Ellicott voiced the questions and then smothered a yawn. The older senshi was right it was late and more then beyond time for bed. “I'm alright now. I just had a bout of melancholy, really I'm alright.” She smiled weakly as she extracted herself from the embrace of the older girl. A lady never cried in public.

The little senshi stumbled a bit as she got to her feet, tiredness making her a bit wobbly but didn't make her forget her manners only delay in it a bit. “Ellicott, chibi senshi of dance at your service.” She did a sketchy curtsy but ended up having to lay a steadying hand on Sherlock as everything was catching up with her. She shivered slightly as the cool air struck her, finding it strange how during the fight she didn't even realize the cold. “Lunch would be good. I owe you for saving Sherlock.” She eyed the rip in the older senshi’s uniform. “Even if you say you knew what you were getting into it's hard to predict a creature like that.” She nodded in the direction of where the youma had been.

"Yes, your magic did help." She said wanting to assure the other, not that she was lying to the other senshi. The other had helped and she wanted the other to know it, to believe it. "Not anyone could have thrown those rocks. How many people, even adults, would have run or been scared and stayed somewhere on the ground and not fought back?" She countered smiling at the other even as she laughed softly. "No, not everyone could have or would have done that. It takes a good deal of courage." She didn't like thinking that there were more children fighting like this little one. It bothered her greatly. This was no place for a child to be - in a war.

Reaching out absently to pet the girls dog, even as she still held the other in her arms. "Because it's the right thing to do. You don't always do something to get praise, or even for anyone to know. You do something because it needs to be done, because it helps people. It's why people donate money to help feed the hungry or help wild life. Those people in Africa and other countries will never know you donated, no one else will but the organization and whoever you tell. But it's the right thing to do. And the animals...they are animals and they deserve to live so you help them too. You don't expect or look for a pat on the back. You do it because you know it's right to help and because you are able to." She hoped that explained things to the little chibi senshi. It was why she did it and she felt her words, her explanation, was the best way to explain it to the little one.

Standing up slowly as the little girl left her hold, offering a hand to her. "Come on, lets get you home." She offered with a smile down to her.

"Nephthys, senshi of vampires." She introduced herself than and curtsied in return to the little one, the chibi did have manners even when so obviously tired.

"It is, they aren't easy to predict as they are all different. But you know they'll still attack and seek to injure you. So that at the very least is predictable." The how however was the unpredictable part. "Let me walk you home, it's the least I can do for such a brave senshi."

Ellicott didn't know how to refute the claim she was useful, not without starting and argument and a lady did not argue. Debate yes but not argue and since she was starting to have troubles following what the older senshi was saying, getting into a debate right then was not a good idea. So she remained quiet, only add, “you do what you have to because you able to.” It made sense to the sleep addled twelve year old, but it also made her feel inadequate again since she couldn't fight, she was unable to help in the war.

She shook off the feeling and smiled up at Nephthys, “It's nice to meet you Nephthys. And yes I believe sleep is required. I would have been asleep by now if Sherlock didn’t need to do a night run, I’m guessing he doesn’t really need to do so anymore.” The dog in question had wandered away and was now trotting back with a pleased expression on his face. “Sherlock, you ready to go back?” The dog gave a soft woof, pleased that his girl was no longer crying.

Ellicott hid another yawn behind her hand nodded in agreement. “That is a horrible thing to be able to predict but I guess its better then nothing.” She shivered slightly in the cold. “I’m no braver than a bunny who was cornered but I won’t turn down your offer. But first, I think I will need shoes… and a jacket.” She held out a bare foot in emphasis before powering down.

Once more she was bundled up in her fluffy jacket, star patterned pajamas, and tennis shoes. “Abigail Miller and this is Sherlock.”

Smiling at the little girl, now dressed in dog walking cloths, she too powered down. Her own clothing a long puffy coat, a long sweater dress under it and boots that lacked any sort of heel. They were fluffy around the tops and thick and warm inside - perfect for cold weather and yet fashionable.

"Good, now lets get you home. I'll walk you there." To make sure she made it there ok, the little one was tired and in need of a warm bed, just as she was. She wasn't about to let the little one head back home on her own. "You can call me Genevieve." At least when she wasn't powered down, but she doubted she needed to tell the other such.

She would, in time, meet up with this little one again and again and work on building hr confidence - as she clearly needed some. The chibi senshi didn't think herself as brave or needed as she was, even though she didn't like the idea of a child involved in a war. This little one, while she didn't approve of children in a war, was not useless. She was polite and smart and she had a feeling this little one would be a good help with things. First though - sleep for them both.

"When we get to your home I'll give you my cell phone number, if you have a pen, and you can contact me whenever you'd like."

“Genevieve is a beautiful name.” Abby said as she hid another yawn. She gathered up Sherlock’s trailing leash and told the dog to heel which he did, the pup still tested her authority but apparently this time was not one of them. Abby studied the dog for a moment and realised she really should stop thinking of him as a pup since he was around one already. He was reaching the end of his growth period although he still had a bit to go until he reached his full weight. It might not be a bad idea to teach him guarding commands beyond what he already knows, she absently thought as she scratched behind his ear.

“Hum?” Abby snapped out of her sleepy daze and focused on Genevieve. “Oh, yes of course that's fine. We can also just program it right into the phone one the way.” She fished out the small old phone from her jacket pocket. The thing was a simple flip phone, almost as old as she was she some times joked, but it did the job of making calls. It gave her father security when Abby was out walking Sherlock, not that the dog didn’t do that himself, or when ever he had to work late. Because of this reason she had gotten in the habit of always having the phone on her, even on a middle of the night bathroom run. “Anyway it can be done on the way. I think Sherlock is antsy to get back as well.” The dog hadn’t moved from his position at he side but it was clear he was ready to go and Abby was really beginning to fade fast.

"Thank you, I happen to like your name as well." And she did, it was a very nice name that the little senshi had. It would seem they both had lovely names. Watching as the smaller one took up the dogs leash and brought him to heel she helped Abby toward her home. She wasn't going to leave her, not as tired as she was.

"That's good, we can do that." Taking out her own phone and moving to take Abby's so she could program the others number into her phone and vice versa. She would that way be able to keep in touch with the other. "You can have this with you when you power up, so long as it's not on your person when you do so." She said. In case the little one might need her when powered up it was a good idea for her to have it when powered up.

"Yes, he might be. He had an exciting night." Moving already she motioned for Abby to lead the way, since she didn't know how to get to the little ones home. She was glad she'd been here tonight to help and keep the smaller senshi, and her dog, safe. Now to just get them both home, then herself.

"Of course." And that was just what happened, on the way to the girls home Genevieve entered her phone number before handing it back to Abby. She hoped the other would call her, it was best if the little one have someone with her when out on a patrol and just in case anything like tonight happened again. "Don't worry about calling me. If it goes to voice mail just leave a message and I'll respond as soon as I can." She spoke up as they continued toward the girls home.

"I won't ignore your calls or think anything negative about them so no worries. Even if you just want to talk, need help with something normal, or anything else. Feel free to call." She sought to assure the girl she was more than willing to talk with her and spend time with her, and not just because she was a sense and this was more than that. Friendship wasn't the right term but perhaps she wanted to be like an elder sister to the little girl? That did seem to fit the idea in Genevieve's head so she went with that.

When they did reach the others home she gave her a pat on the head and leaned down to kiss her forehead. "Now have a good sleep, both of you, and keep safe. Remember - call me if you want or need anything - don't hesitate." She wouldn't turn the other away and she wanted her to know that. She was there for her and would help her in any way, big or small, that she could.

Abby smiled sleeply at the older girl. She agreed politely as Genevieve offered to just be there if she ever needed to talk, the younger girl didn't think she ever would take her up on the offer since ladies didn't air their troubles out in the open but it helped to know that Genevieve was there just in case.

The walk seemed to take little time at all and before Abby could do more than sleepy wonder if her dad knew she was gone they were at her house. "I will. You be careful going home too." Sherlock was more than happy to be home and wanted to go inside. He began to tow his girl towards the door before she really had a chance to say anything more. Abby chuckled softly and gladly allowed the dog to pull her to the door, which she unlocked and slipped inside. Pausing only once to wave one final time at Genevieve closing and locking the door.

Time for sleep. Time to put this whole night behind her. She was asleep practically before her head even hit the pillow. Sherlock was snoring softly at the foot of her bed, already in dream land.
