This is a quest to upgrade my civilian profile of Kathryn McAdams to the side of order.

Knight Title: Irkalla, Page of Cosmos

Challenge: Mess with me and I'll lead you straight into eternity.
Alternate: To eternity and beyond.

Uniform: Uniform already designed.

Top -- Thigh-length traditional side-fastened coat? Shorter? Longer? Exposed undershirt? Cropped? Buttons? Toggles? Shoulderpads? Long sleeves, or short sleeves? Sleeves at all? What's the collar like? Could even be a dress? You are generally as basic as it gets here and should be something you can be very active in.
Bottoms -- Skirt? Pants? Shorts? Culottes?
Gloves -- Got any?
Belt -- Belt? No belt?
Shoes -- What kind?
Shoulders -- Epaulettes? Fuzzy wuzzy shoulderpads? Bells? Whistles?
Accessories -- What kind?


Weapon --
-----> Page
Weapon: Ornaments on a golden string. Ornaments are fragile glass and would probably break if struck. Irkalla could possibly use the string as a flimsy barrier but it won't really do anything to help her in a battle.
Magical Effect: None

-----> Squire
Weapon: The string of ornaments has become a golden rope cord. The ornaments themselves are now metallic and would be less likely to break if struck directly by an object or an attack. The rope could be used again as a minor shield if swung around quickly enough.
Magical Effect: While channeling her magic the golden star ornament on the cord begins to glow softly with a flickering prism of color. Irkalla will turn to aim the star at an ally and "shoot" the magic at them. The chosen target would end up feeling like they could keep their current attack going for a 10% longer period of duration. This effect would only work for as long as the current attack is going. Once the attack is finished then the extra boost is gone. At this stage Irkalla can channel her magic for 35 seconds.

Exception: If the magical attack that Irkalla is boosting is one that incapacitates an opponent longer than 15 seconds then the energy would instead restore 10% of the targets health instead.

Weapon: The golden cord has collapsed in on itself, forming a golden metal circular hoop. (think like a steering wheel) All the ornaments except the golden star have disappeared. The star is hanging perfected centred in the middle of the golden hoop.
Magical Effect: While channeling her magic the golden star pulses with light flashes of prismatic colour. Irkalla will turn to an ally and "shoot" the light at them. Once the target has been hit they feel like they can hold their current attack for an increased duration period of 20%. This effect would only work for as long as the current attack is going. Once the attack is finished then the extra boost is gone. At this stage Irkalla can channel her magic for 60 seconds.

Exception: If the magical attack that Irkalla is boosting is one that incapacitates an opponent longer than 15 seconds then the energy would instead restore 20% of the targets health instead.

First go at looking for crit on Irkalla. I think I'm okay but any helpful tidbits would be useful. I'm also dropping the link into the quest thread.

Hey Tefla! Congratulations on this lovely lady! Let's get her going so you can play her after the art is finished! Since you asked for a Crit as well as a Stamp, please excuse some wordiness <3

First off, the name you have chosen, Irkalla, while 100% acceptable and I think a beautiful name, you mentioned you chose it because of the Cosmos themes of Eternity, Rebirth, and Stars. Reading about Irkalla, it sounds a bit more Saturn as from what I can find, once you are there, you are there and have no chance of return! (Hope it is a nice place!) Now this can play off nicely for Eternity since you are there but I wanted to just make sure that was were you were going?

Your weapon progression is very well done. Just a few small things!
Page - You nailed it that at this stage it is sometimes pretty useless. But when considering a string ornaments are hung on, it normally does not have the strength to hold someone or be used as a rope. However, it could wrap around something...*might have seen someone destroy a fan that way*

Squire - Looks good. All I ask is you bring it down to about 10% longer and make sure you to mention this is only for one attack the alley is using (do they need to currently be using the attack or would is also work for the next attack?)

Knight - I'm going to say same as above but this time, go to about 20% longer.

Again, over all, I think she is fantastic and will be a great upgrade for your girl!

First of all, wordiness is okay.

I made changes on the duration times like you suggested. I also stuck in the fact that the duration boost would only work on the current attack being used.

Someone else once told me the same thing about using Irkalla as a name idea but I would like to know if there is anything I can do in order to keep it. Would I just have to take out why I chose Irkalla?

Or are their other suggestions I could use? Not sure with picking wonder names especially since after reading about Cosmos Knights "home" location.

Hey Tefla,
Those for the magic and weapon look much better! Good job!

As for the name, I'm not surprised someone did. Saturn appears to be one of the more popular of knights. Now, let's see! You can 100% keep it. As I said before, the name works so if that is what you want, then so be it. I would have to say no if it was not a location, wonder, or less than 1000 years old.
Also, I would recommend taking out why you chose it. Not needed ^_^

Other popular ideas for Cosmos Knights are Utopias or places of plenty. Other ideas might be places that go through cycles for all eternity. I'm not sure if there is a mythology that you like better but looking into those for ideas for areas of where spirits spend eternity or possible holding points before rebirth. Or for stars, a place known for its star gazing?

I hope I could be of some help. But again, if that is the same you want, you let me know and we are good to go.

Your girl is absolutely lovely, so I am excited to be working on getting her a stamp! I have only one concern with her magic but I have an idea that might fix it! We currently have some restrictions on certain types of magic--such as those that completely incapacitate a character. All magic that can make someone entirely helpless/defenseless against an attack is too dangerous to allow for longer than fifteen seconds. Because her magic extends an attack, would you be comfortable saying that her magic either doesn't work on attacks that cannot exceed the fifteen second incapacitate rule or making it so that her magic either restores 10% or 20% of their energy instead (giving them a second wind), or 10-20% of health--or something to replace extending the magic for attacks that cannot exceed the 15 seconds?

If my explanation is too wordly, please let me know! I want to make sure you get the most use out of your magic while still being cautious that no one is using magic that totally incapacitates someone for longer than 15 seconds; if you have any ideas of your own, please let me know! Give me quote if you have any questions, comments or make any changes and I'll be back as soon as possible!

I'm a little confused by the wordiness of the post. Give me a second here...

So you are saying that because I want Irkalla's magic to give an ally a 10-20% extra boost in duration that it'd have to be limited to attacks that don't incapacitate the opponent? I just want to make sure I'm understanding this before I got into possible revision mode.

Yes! Unfortunately, her magic couldn't give 10% extra duration to a magic that totally incapacitated someone (since all of those magics are limited to a 15 second duration). You could keep the 10/20% duration to almost all other magics; it is really only just a small few that would need to have an exception. For example, for attacks like those her magic could instead just restore 10/20% of the energy they spent using the attack, but it wouldn't extend the time at all to keep within the 15 second ruling we have.

Is adding an exception portion underneath the attack portion okay enough to say that if the attack is one that would not benefit from the duration boost that it would instead boost an ally's health by the same percentage?

I have tweaked it to read like that at the moment. (( I also tweaked the description of the knight weapon to read more clearly as I was a bit vague before)

Hey Kyu,

At squire stage Irkalla can channel for 35 seconds and at knight level 70 seconds. Is that okay?
