Life wasn’t always how you wanted it and Alrai knew that for a fact. His parents had wanted children so badly that they had risked having a soul stone in October, not only had he ended up mutated but the stone he came from had accidently already been partially imbued by a geist. To say that his relationship with his parents wasn’t the best was an understatement. When they had his little brother Alioth, it was like Alrai didn’t even exist.
It was okay for him for the most part, because he had his studies to keep him busy and Alioth tended to get along pretty well with him. However he did wish he had someone who was a bit closer or even friends. On outings he had always wondered if he just tapped down all of his wings under a jacket. Would he not stand out so much? He hadn’t thought because no matter how risky he liked to get at the end of the day, he hated started relationships out on a lie. Speaking of relationships, recently he had been asked if he wanted to try imbuing a stone.

However there was one tiny little problem. Did he want children, even with the possibility that his mutations might be passed on in some way. For them to get looked at with distain and prejudice as their peers thought that Alrai didn’t care enough for them and awoken them in October, even if that was the farthest thing from the truth. It was getting better, there were famous couples who had ended up with mutated kids that where very much loved if the paparazzi where any indication.

He was drawn out of his thoughts by the taste of coper. He really needed to stop that bad habit of biting on his lip when he was deep in thought. He could sometimes focus a lot of the negative things. Kids would be good for him. He was kind of floating around without a purpose at the moment and he could see if family life was for him. He would treat his child better than his parents. Well his mind was made up, it was time to go talk to that person again.
