Muninn wasn’t your average kid. He was a hybrid of two races you normally wouldn’t think of falling for each other. He was also a mutant and due to his mutations he didn’t have the best luck seeing. In fact he had to train Midgard just to help him walk sometimes, especially when it was extremely bright outside. So he was used to things not going entirely as planned. As such, Muninn for lack of any other better words was utterly lost. He was going to get in sooo much trouble whenever he managed to get back to where his dorm was. After all he wasn’t entirely supposed to be running around, and he had ditched his older siblings and caretaker. However he really wanted to see his dad, Draven was supposed to have been working today and he had gotten teased over his eye. It was the perfect time to get cuddles and hugs. He didn’t remember being in this section of the academy before and he was pretty sure that this wasn’t the classroom his dad sometimes was the T.A for. In fact he would say this was the more science oriented section of the school. Then again today was a bad day and it was on the brighter side. Even worse was that Mani was watching Midgard for him. Aaaaah he was going to be in sooo much trouble. Resigning himself to his feet, he tried to find some place to sit and hope that he bumped into some one….

A mutant of his own, Gaius was lucky enough to not suffer as terribly as his fellow obscured Nightmares. His narrowed pupils enhanced his vision, while his stunted miniature wings provided no assistance in what they were meant to do: fly. But that'd never been a bother to him. Can't miss what you don't have, right? In truth, since he had awoken, he had mistaken himself for a hybrid between Geist and Fallen. Without being told otherwise, and not really taking much thought into his differing eyes, he really didn't think much of his special traits.
Strolling back into his wing of the school, feeling quite proud of the productive work he'd done, the geist dusted his hands together lightly. They had a light speckling of soil on them from the secret garden he'd created, and just finished tending to. The plants he'd gathered from the festival not too long ago were thriving just fine! And the small pond was next to be built for his salamanders to enjoy.
But as he made his way through the halls, which were rather barren due to many classes currently underway, he spotted a single freshling all by their lonesome. Watching them, Gaius curiously tilted his head, noting their somewhat odd behavior. Were they lost? he didn't really pay much attention to others around him, admittingly, so he had no idea if they were from this part of the school or not. Any matter, he casually made his way over to them, his usual calm grin in place, "Hey. Looking for a class?"

Muninn had heard the approaching footsteps but the last couple of people hadn’t helped him so he was sure it was going to go about the same so it was to his surprise that they seemed to stop right of him. So you couldn’t really blame him all that much for opening his left eye in surprise. Somehow though muninn figured they probably weren’t going to bully him for it however considering they were a mutated geist hybrid like him, well more like Hati but Hati was his sister so close enough. “You’re like Muninn…” ah no that’s not what we wanted to say. Mom had always mentioned that good first impressions where always important which meant first person. He could do this, besides he didn’t want to be seen as weird, especially because he hadn’t really gotten the chance to meet many other people like him…. Well people who weren’t his siblings at least. “I was. Muninn’s dad was supposed to be in the art class helping teach. I was going to say hi” oh opening his eye always gave him a headache since everything in that eye was enlarged and somewhat more blurry. He wondered how people up in above lived with it being terribly bright. He couldn’t handle below light during the height of the day. No there was a nice, well he hoped nice, person in front of him. He had to stop being so scatterbrained.

His head tilted slightly at the first murmur from the other youth, making his wings give a brief twitch curiously. Like Muninn? While the unique traits were noted, it did nothing to change the geists demeanor or mindset. But with the way the remark had been spoken, surely this Muninn was in a positive light for the other.
With further explanation provided, his mind was able to piece together the lingo, identifying now that this was indeed Muninn! So they were lost. Looking around slowly, Gaius did a small scope to see if any adults were around. By the looks of it, no. Looking back to the uncomfortable mutant, he smiled lightly, "Well I'll help you find him. Maybe he's in another room." Gaius suggested, since... there were quite a few art related classes. "I'm Gaius, by the way." his body turned to start on down further along the hallway, sharp attentive eyes snapping around to the doors that lined the sides, "so what's your dad look like?" a visual idea would help in the pursuit!.

Calm deep breath. He could do this. He wasn’t a scatterbrain and he normally liked meeting new people. Besides they were being helpful and offering to help him find his dad. Manners required that he place his attention at least on the other person while they were talking. He didn’t want to be seen as weird again and his parents had raised him to have good manners and steal gummies but that really wasnt helpful here. “Well dad looks like hat-” He stopped and trailed off. There was a really, really good almost postive chance that the geist in front of him didn’t know who his younger sister was, which wouldn’t help appearance wise. This would have been so much easier if they were looking for his mom. He was very much like his mom appearance wise after all. “Well Dad is really tall and he’s a fallen. He has pale skin like muninn, but he has really dark hair, and wings. Kind of like a foresty blue green I think. Thank you very much for helping. I can’t see really well. Muninn has a bird to help him but I left Migard back in my dorm. I’m Muninn but uh you probably figured that out. It’s nice to meet you Gaius”

Ok so another Fallen, that meant wings were something to look for. Luckily there weren't too many species with wings. Especially feathered ones. Dark features were another helpful trait to look for, though noteably differing from what the freshling spawn himself was sporting.
Nodding slowly along as Munnin listed off a few things to look out for, he felt pretty confident in their abilities to hunt down this father figure that was missing. However his attempt to start off on their way was halted with the little hybrids last remark, making him turn back around. He couldn't see very well? Well that was no problem. Grin sliding back onto his face, he toddled back over to the other mutant, and gently took his hand, "Don't worry, I'll be your bird for you." he giggled faintly, his tiny wings giving a faint twitch in jest. With Munnin in tow, he carefully helped guide him down the hallway, "nice to meet you too. Maybe we can peek into all the doors we come across." that seemed to be a good start, at least. Perhaps the guy had some orders to handle in one of the many classrooms.

Muninn started to dust himself off as he had gotten a little dirty sitting on the floor in his small little slump for so long. He normally wasn’t this mopey but today was a bad day. Well more this had been a bad week of teasing and getting messed with. It didn’t help he had also gotten in trouble because Migard had apparently figured out his peers had been bothering him and the Cockatriel had bitten someone. However he had gotten help and Muninn was going to show that he wasn’t going to be lump weight on their mini quest. “Well they normally sit on muninn’s shoulder and are a bit blue, but you are a bit too big to sit on muninn and they don’t have as nice of wings….” He then pauses and jokingly looked around like one of them was going to pop out of an air duct or something. “shhh don’t tell them they’ll get jealous” He was being truthful about the wings. His mom had always worn a feather necklace which was made from a feather from Muninn’s father and Muninn had always found it ridiculously romantic. He wanted to one day find some special enough that he could steal their gummies and give one of his feathers too. As such a sort of appreciation for wings developed, it was probably why he had so many cockatriels even though they were terrors to most people. “Thank you though” muninn said in a small voice as Gaius took his hand. “yeah okay, sounds like a good plan”
