When Yue was a little kid she always wanted a huge family. She was excellent with kids, which was probably why the academy had chosen two grimm as her younger siblings. However when she had first met Draven, she knew he was something special. He tried, they had their ups and downs but he always fessed up to his mistakes and tried to understand her culture. By the end of her time at the academy she definitely knew that she wanted to have that family with Draven. Now it was strange to think she kind of achieved that miracle. She had three gorgeous children with Draven and three other children they had given a home too. Of course all of them had some unique properties, some and accident on her part, the others malicious intention by others.

So it was very understandable that it wasn’t too often that Yue had a day where she was off from classes and didn’t have to catch up on Homework or run off to help one of the children. Well to say she was alone was slightly an understatement… however one could imagine her frustration that she had a wonderful lunch date with her partner… and it was an hour after they were supposed to have met and there was no Draven. So here she was standing near a foutain in the middle of Grendel's campus sans a particular Fallen.

She knew that he had to have an excellent reason for this…. Oh she was going to kill him or steal all of his gummies and maybe hide his flitterats.

“Mommy… Daddy got eaten by Narbles didn’t he?” a small little voice asked, his head popping out from behind her leg. It reminded her strangely of Tobias when he was muninn’s age.

“Do I want to ask what a narble is?” it wasn’t the first thought that popped up into her head but it was the most kid friendly.

Yue had to hide a small blush when the imp spoke up and tried to recall if she had muttered anything embarrassing over the time they had been sitting there. She after all liked to be a little less agitated when being observed by other people, although she did have to give points to the imp that they went along with Muninn. Most nightmares tended to scoff, give her dirty looks and then treat Muninn with disdain even more so when Muninn’s little tics showed up. Actually this imp was getting a lot of points for that comment.

“Oh they are, well when they are bad narbles” Muninn replied, “but there are good narbles too, they normally hang around really nice people”

“Yeah I was, I wanted to surprise my partner for lunch but it looks like midterms kept him” Yue replied taking the offered hand and shaking it. While she had been a bit embarrassed earlier it wasn’t like she could change things, and it was only right to be polite after all. “its nice to meet you Miah, I’m yue and this is..”

“Yue is muninn’s mom. I... I’m muninn” muninn interrupted. Ah well Yue was going to have to work on that, but she was glad that he was trying first person.

“Well they’re about yay big” Muninn started moving his fingers to indicate something the size of a dime. “And they’re really really shiny and come in pale colors. Bad ones are green and good ones are more purply in color. A lot of people can’t see them so Muninn gets made fun of a lot”

“Ah thank you. It was a bit of a long shot to begin with but today was the anniversary of when we went on our first date so I was hoping to surprise him. Still I know he wouldn’t have missed it and his education is really important and it was my fault for not firming up anything concrete” She just was stuck at Grendel, with Muninn and nothing to do for the next four hours that Draven would be in class. Even more if the teacher kept him for T.A work.

“Daddy will probably wish the bad narbles got him"

“Munnin, you make it sound like I'm going to get your father instead. I'm not mad you silly nezubat” Yue chided. With an innocent smile and mischievous set of giggles, in which he flashed from solid to semitransparent, the little hybrid ran over to play on the nearest bench. Yue wasn’t too worried since she knew magi was watching him and she could see him out of the corner of her eye.


“Kids, they’re absolutely lovely but they definitely give you grey hair. Would you believe I once had black hair” the end of the statement however was in a kidding type of tone because it was quite obvious from muninn, who was practically her clone minus the very obvious Draven traits, that Yue had always had silver hair.

“That’s a lie mommy. Don’t lie to the pretty lady”
