Silk sat outside the base of a tree in a park, his little kitten tail twitching lightly with annoyance as he glared at the base of it. From one angle it just appeared to be a small black kitten staring at tree, but form his angle, it revealed the opening to the hollowed out trunk. Inside that hollowed trunk, was his sister, and another one of her small hoards of shinies. " Lace." He hissed. " Get your a** out of that hole right now, or I'm coming in there." Luckily, with it being the holidays and all, the park was pretty dead, which meant normal people wouldn't be trying to bother them.

Lace sat just enough in the opening to make sure that Silk COULD NOT get into her hidey hole and ruin her new collection of shinies. "G...Go away Silk!" She mumbled.
"Why don't you go...go find those things....yourself!!" She added and then tipped her head out. She blended well in the darkness of the tree as well.

Ochre heard the voices down the street from his location - he would've passed up the block entirely if he heard nothing.
Energy draining bade unwell that eve, with only a short pull from a young man to comprise his entire collection. He wasn't enthused with this neighborhood, and he found that his venture into it proved his suspicions that he couldn't find more than dregs in this area. It didn't affect him much now, for he only collected for next week's quota in an attempt to slacken his duties somewhat later on.
So when he turned down the street and started walking toward the voices, he wasn't particularly expecting to find a mark. In fact, by the tones, he estimated he'd find little kids teasing each other in front of their home. But as he peered through the dark, as he walked toward the source, he spotted (somehow) a single black kitten sitting in front of a tree.
Yelling at it.
Kitty, he thought, wide-eyed. Kitty, he thought again as he approached the black puff sitting on the sidewalk. Kitty, he thought as he crouched down behind the Mau.
"Hi," he started as unassumingly as possible. "Can I pet you?" His fingers itched to pet the cat. He needed to pet the cat more than he needed air. Truth - he could probably breathe distilled cat fur and survive just as well, if not better, than on oxygen.

Luckily for Lace, she was spared from any attempts at forceful entry and destruction of property by the appearance of a corrupt senshi. Man. Things were always interrupting them, it seemed! Just couldn't catch a break ever since that General-Queen lady came and butted her nose into their business as well. At least things had gotten more interesting since then. That was one thing for certain.
Silk's head had swiveled around. He then cocked his head, going still, as he focused on the aura. He hadn't felt all that many yet, so the sensation itself was interesting---but it felt right. Looks like one of those things was finding them instead. His eyes had gone wide, briefly, before they narrowed back into speculative slits as the senshi appeared. He stared at him, still frozen, and waited until he spoke. The question earned an annoyed flick of his tail.
"Can I pet you?" The kitten sneered in return. "Would you like that?" He had asked thinking the senshi wouldn't, obviously---but who was to say. Maybe Ochre would, not that Silk knew. He turned his head back to his sister. "Get out of your hole! One of those things came to us!" He then leapt the short distance between him and Lace, where he bit onto her ribbon and started to pull her out of the hole so that she could inspect the senshi too.

Lace's head peeked out over at the stranger who asked to pet her brother and wondered just how Silk would reply to that.
In true Silk fashion, he responded predictably. She curled her tail closer to her and stared at Ochre with wide yellow eyes.
"Owwwwwwww." She put her paws up in attempts to bat the twin kitten away but ended up losing her balance and falling out of the tree. She landed on her feet, but then looked around like a lost fearful creature. She was out in the open now. No where to hide.
"I..I see that one came to us!" She looked up at Ochre, "You're....You're not going to hurt...us right?"

"Uh." Ochre blinked at the puff. Any offense he might've taken dissipated when he saw the way the cat's scarf overtook half its face. It offset the cat's words perfectly, and Ochre found it difficult to assume that anything the feline might've said could be at all derisive. "Yeah, I mean, if that's what you want then go ahead. Just don't pet me with your claws." But the feline never said yes or no to his question, so Ochre assumed yes regardless and reached to pet the cat's head.
But the cat didn't sit still - he jettisoned into the hole in the tree and dragged away a second feline, this one all too similar to the first. They both wore the cutest ruffs that contrasted well with their jet black furs. Kitties, he thought to himself in ecstatic glee. Two kitties!
Ochre drew himself to his feet and crossed the short distance to the tree. The small puff on the ground looked immensely pitiful compared to the ornery first, and Ochre decided he would pick her up whether she accepted it or not. Careful hands sought to seize the cat by the chest and feet to hoist her to chest. He paused only when she asked about hurting the pair. "No, I mean, you're cats. Why would I hurt cats? I'm just gonna like... Pet you for a while. Maybe forever. And then like, feed you and stuff. If you want. You're Negaverse cats, right? I mean, you look like Negaverse cats. All black, you know. Where did you two come from?"
Even if she didn't answer him, it didn't matter.
Because kitties.

Oh, yeah, he might possibly pet you with his claws, but no such occurrence happened at the moment. Thankfully. For now. There was no telling in the future---or, quite frankly, even a few moments from now.
Silk stared at Lace, and then watched as the corrupt picked her up and cradled her to his chest. He wasn't too concerned. After all, the guy seemed like one of those crazy cat lady-dudes. So whatever. The kitten shifted to sit, curling his little tail around his front paws as much as he could as he stared up at the two through narrowed slits. "That's racist." He sneered, and then kept it going, "Well, when a mommy kitty and a daddy kitty love each other very much---"
The kitten huffed, and then asked a question of his own. "Are you a senshi, Pippi Longhairstocking?" He'd seen that chick on the T.V. sometimes here and there when he'd waltz into stores or chill on open window sills. Yeah. That senshi looked just like her.

Lace only made a soft meow at being picked up, but since the senshi had a fluff against his chest, she buried her paws in it and looked up at him.
"You...you have pretty hair!" She commented and then looked down at her twin, "S...Silk!" She made a sighing sound and then went back to looking up at the senshi. "I'm L...Lace. We were found. By your general queen! Laurelite?" She kneaded her paws in his fur trim as he pet her, okay with the soft touches.
They didn't hurt and felt really nice, so she didn't mind!
"Silk...Silk is mean but don't worry! But are you a senshi??" She cocked her head, "We are suppose to find some of you!"
