Yet another race had been found among the islands around the Tendaji mainland, a new species not without its own troubles not that the continent needed any more complication after so much fighting in the last few years, Sauron was about ready to just toss all his weapons down hop in a boat and sail with his whole family to somewhere actually safe. He was getting tired of being on high alert so much and he had his youngest daughter to attend to, couldn’t everything just pause until they were all sure that Vep was going to grow up strong and healthy and significantly larger than she was at this moment. Then he might consider a whole new mess that another war would bring. Preferably with his children far away from whatever molten epicenter there may be. Academically he was sure the yaeli were interesting folks, they would have new ideas, new goals, new gods and most likely different motives then all and sundry. He couldn’t however fault them for trying to save their children from whatever fiends had started rising out of the ground. Child knapping was to Sauron one of the most hanus crimes imaginable, particularly as he had so many children to keep track of. He hoped they made the crossing safely, let the alks deal with the baby snatchers, they couldn’t reproduce over there anyway without Aisha so really it was the perfect solution. Let those powerful, crazy, woman, warriors deal with the threat to yael and by saving their own skins help out the others. It would be an awfully nice gesture on their part and hopefully clear up some of the karma they had incurred here on the mainland. And if being alone made them happy maybe they could find a different island after if they so chose.
He hoped that once all his own stuff was done that he might have a chat with one or two of them for curiousities sake, he was a little old to be overly excited about crawling in a boat and seeing Yael for himself though, he hadn’t ever been that much past Jauhar but his travel bug didn’t seem to want to propel him quite that far from the rainforest to a people with glowy eyes, although he rather felt that they would be right at home in Jauhar being glowy like everything else here. He wondered what his family thought of them, and tried to imagine their reactions, by far the hardest to predict was Vuka who was not as talkative as any of his other siblings. Chances are his son would have the best chance of getting along with the shy people, Vallen would most likely scare the living spirit out of them and they would run. Which was probably a good thing because once Vallen opened his mouth...well that didn’t need much explaining. He had a feeling that his daughter would try and scramble over there to start her beast charming career and that made him worry, not because of the droopy eared people, she was smart enough to watch people after the war with Oba but the monsters themselves might draw her to find them. Which was not the most intelligent thing she could do but being Seze would probably try to tame them if they were more beast then human. The details he was getting from the talk were a bit vague on that part. He wondered if the yaeli would spread themselves along the continent, would they even be able to survive up there in zena? Did their island get cold? He really needed to look at a proper map to draw his own conclusions, he liked maps.
He also wondered if maybe some of his single offspring would fall for a yaeli, it would be kind of neat to have someone so new and different as a part of the family he thought, although that would mean there would not be enough room in the house. Oh well hopefully they wouldn’t live too far away, he wondered if they too had a tree like the alks? Inconvenient if they had to leave their island then wouldn’t it? Well he was sure that soon enough someone who knew all the things for sure would come along and all this mystery wishy washy stuff would be solved once and for all. That was what he was really looking forward too, the facts, the hard evidence and an easing of the widespread curiousity that seemed to have gripped all the different peoples of Tendaji at such news. He was kind of mad that the extremists of all people would have been some of the first to meet the new species. Of all the weird twists of fate that was a rather spectacular one to him.
