Hortensia was raised to be a classy dame and she acts as such. She is polite and sophisticated in the spheres of wealth she was raised to be in. That being said, she can be catty and is easily angered. All of the peasants tend to bring out the worst in her. As well as her older sister. Her tantrums have been known to get her into trouble, be it by saying rather, uh, "regrettable" things to those in higher positions as her or by standing up appointments.Thus, she is not an ideal person to have around.

Hortensia started off just as her name would suggest: the younger child of a noble family. She did not get the riches of her parents or the title of the estate. Instead, she got etiquette lessons and a set of spoons. These were not the finest spoons, mind you, but instead the sort of simple silver that was durable rather than fancily designed. Upon coming of age, Hortensia was infuriated to find that she would receive nothing more from her family. In her fury, she said some regrettable things. The sort of regrettable things that are not easily forgiven. And so, she was kicked out of the house in order to help her learn a lesson of some sort. All of this being said, Hortensia has learned no lessons yet.
