It was pretty much like any other time she came to bother Sergei---except it was colder, because it was the first official day of Winter, also the shortest day of the year--- and also her birthday. Huzzah! Olga wasn't big on making plans, because it was close to the holidays and everyone was busy with family stuff---and she didn't want to inconvenience anyone---she understood the importance of spending time with family! She did kind of want to do something today though...and she wanted to do something with him...she wasn't going to tell him why though---just that she wanted to! She wanted to go get lunch at IHOP! So good. So good. So, like usual, Olga appeared at the gate, and she pushed the button for the buzzer to Sergei's apartment.

And per usual, Sergei's answer to Olga's insistent pressing of his button was no.
"No." He answered.

"Seeeeergei~" Olga replied. "I want to go to IHOP for lunch, and I want you to go with me~" She paused for a moment, and then whipped out something she'd been working on for a bit: "Будьте добры?" She then stared at the intercom excitedly, proud of her earnest if not rough effort. Bless YouTube.

"Vhy? I do not like resturants." He pouted, "vhat is Ihop, vhy you want to go there." Her terrible russian made him roll his eyes.
"Fine, give me moment. I will dress better." He huffed and then moments came out in jeans and a long sleeve shirt. A jacket was thrown over and tiny scarf.
"Now, Vhy ve go?"

Olga blinked at the intercom as a string of questions came out. It was... a Christmas miracle! Sergei was starting to sound like her! Asking all the things! "Um---yanno, you don't like a lot of things." She replied with a grin. "IHOP is a restaurant, silly, and I want to go there to eat!" Smart alec answers for the win! Olga let out a squeal of delight though as he consented (easier than in the past too, she noticed), and clapped her hands excited before backing away from the gate for when he'd come out. She wondered what 'dress better' meant...considering all his clothes looked really nice but hey! She waved at him when he appeared, and her fox eyed grin practically split her face in two. Because it's my birthday and I want to spend it with you---was what she was thinking. "Oh---it's before the holidays, yeah? Everyone's busy with family and I just wanted to go out and eat and hang out with you! Hey, do you mind walking? It's a bit, but not terrible!" Despite asking, she was already starting to head in the direction and away from the apartment. "Are you gonna go to your parents' house for the holidays? Does your entire family get together? Even your older brothers?" She launched into asking as she walked. Despite bantering with Nadia often, she had forgotten to ask what she was going to do.

The questions came because it was Olga and he would not be caught up in her games, if he could help it.
"I do not." He added, very seriously. Was something wrong with not liking everything? Did they live in the world where he had too? He didn't think so.
"Vhy do want to go to Ihop," He dropped the act of not knowing what it was. Everyone knew what Ihop was. It was pancake place. Breakfast all the time. Bah. "There is better places." Fancier....more to his style.
"Probably." He shrugged, "Mama had gone back to russia to see three younger brothers, and the triplets, zey are starting their training. One is Army, one is Navy and the other, I do not know. Papa is only one at home, Vill swing by to say hello." he pursued his lips, "Perhaps invite Nadia to apartment for dinner." Nadia and her boyfriend. So he could judge. "And you?"

She giggled. "The question isn't what don't you like---the question is what do you like---" Olga looked over at him with bright eyes. "Tell me some things! Aside from stamps, and antique maps, and the Navy, and Noel." She grinned. "IHOP is so good---plus it's affordable!" For her. Some people didn't have a nice retired Navy salary. She also really wanted some Eggs Benedict. Yum. "Ah!" Olga nodded. Wow, to think Mama Vetrov went off to Russia for the holidays, so cool! "Awww! Are the triplets leaving, soon!? I need to say bye to them, if that's the case---oh man! That sounds awesome!" Talking about Nadia brightened her day. "Do you think she'll bring her boyfriend? Have you met him, yet? Lorne? He's so sweet!" Olga beamed at the thought of the shy and soft spoken young man. "I got smoothies with him some time ago---ah! Me? No big plans! I'm just gonna hang out and re-watch Outlander, and eat some food from the Boston Market I'm going to pick up before hand---and drink lots of hot chocolate." That was the most important. Right after Outlander.

"You did not make a question." He frowned, "At all."
He stuck his hands in his pockets, "Nyet." He didn't want to talk about himself after all. He didn't have many likes. She hit them on the head. "I like to jog."
Her surprise at his mother leaving made his brow rise, especially since his three youngest brothers were being taken care of by his aunts and uncles. Wasn't it more surprising that they weren't here?
"I have not. I will meet him sometime." Sergei didn't usually think of meeting Nadia's 'conquest' but since this one seemed real and for a good amount of time, perhaps it was best to.
"show with man." He frowned. "You can come, if vant." He added...VERY QUIETLY.

"Oh---right!" She paused, and then grinned at him. "Please tell me some things you like?" She made her tone more inquisitive than usual, just to place emphasis on the fact she was asking. " Please?" To his 'nyet', and an "Ah, I knew that, too! Did you jog when you were on duty too---on the ship?" She imagined sailors bobbing and weaving around a carrier and it amused her. "I also bet you like more than that! What do you do when you're not doing those things? Or school, or homework." It was important to add. "I hope so!" Also she now wanted to tease Nadia about showing Lorne off to the family. She was totally going to later. She cackled to herself, and then nodded. "Yeah! Jamie Fraser---huh?" She blinked and looked over at him. "I didn't catch that---you're mumbling over there! What'd you say?" Olga teased with a grin, leaning over to him.

"I like stamps." What did he tell her that she probably didn't already know? After all, Nadia told her everything. How else did she know about his stamp collection OR the fact that he collected old maps? Hmmm?
"Ship is small, and vork is busy. Sometime, vould go down to exercise room, jog on treadmill. On base, vould always go." He shifted, "On base, vould have more freedom. Saw many cities and countries. We would harbor in Japan, or India. Where ever base needed." He Shrugged, "Vould drink sometimes with mates. Mostly study."
"It is nothing, if you did not hear then." He totally knew she heard him. She would come or she wouldn't. Its not like he really wanted her too. Baka.

Olga giggled, because yes, she knew he liked stamps. She then nodded. "Did you ever jog on the deck of a ship?" Sure, he said small, but his idea of a small ship and her idea of a small ship were probably two different things, since she had never been on one larger than a casual fishing boat. "Ahh, I'm so jealous! I want to go to places like Japan and India---which port was your favorite? The one you liked best?" After some walking, she could spot the IHOP, and perked up at the mention of 'mates'. "Do you keep in contact with any of them, still? Your friends from the Navy!" Since it was drawing closer, Olga ended up shooting ahead of them so that she could reach the door first, where she then pulled it open with both hands and help it open for him. She shot him a sheepish grin. "Aww, don't say that! I heard you, but I was worried I was just hearing what I wanted to hear, instead of what you were actually saying!" Never mind that he literally told her 'no' every time she saw him, and that still didn't phase her. "I can though...really?" She stared at him, bright eyed.

"No, On ztupid ones jog on deck. Moving ship in water, no. Just no." But some did, and they were often the ones who came REALLY close to falling overboard when a random wave hit the ship. They were still very much subject to the whims of the sea.
"Japan. It was colorful." He shrugged, "We were far from Tokyo but I got to see, it was huge, and lots of people." He didn't like lots of people but managed in the city and only got lost once. Then had been kindly led back to his train to lead him back to his harbor. "I have one, his name is Cooper." He made this face though at the mention of said 'friend'

He frowned as she opened the door, but then walked by as if it didn't phase him.
"You would come over, even if told you no. You heard what you want to hear, every time." He took in the survey and then made a small...
"tch."

Olga snorted, loudly. Oh geeze. It was just how matter-of-fact he was about it when he replied. Only the stupid ones jogged on deck. Guess she would have been a stupid one. Jogging where she could have had a nice ocean view... A nice...view... Thinking about jogging made her think about Sergei jogging, and Sergei staying fit made her think of that one time he answered the door shirtless... ...Olga blushed, heavily. "I'm just so jelly!" She choked. Man...she wanted to travel as much as Sergei did! Olga stared at him when he said he stayed in touch with one of his Navy friends, and then his expression. "...Is that a resigned face?" She asked him with a grin, and then gasped. "I totally wouldn't come over on Christmas unless invited!" She assured him. "It's the holidays! That's important time to spend with family! Besides, I told you what my plans were at first---they didn't involve crashing your place---" Then she cringed, because of that sassy tch. Internally, she may have been crying a little, too. Not that she thought she could impress Sergei with an outing to IHOP, but she didn't think he'd find it so below him, either. She just wanted him to like her.Olga came up behind him, planted a hand on the small of his back, and then pushed him further into the IHOP. Maybe she felt the need to get them seated before he could scoff at it even more. Since it was a Monday, and a little before lunch time, the place wasn't too busy. Olga hastily told the hostess 'two', and then pushed Sergei all the way towards the table after the hostess. Luckily only being two inches shorter than him, she could see over his (fine and sculpted) shoulder the entire way there. She then let out a breath, and removed her hand, practically throwing herself into one of the sides of the booth they'd been taken to.

He was one Olga away from turning out the door and walking himself back to his apartment to enjoy the solitude and quietness of such humble abode. At least his humble abode wasn't decorated in frilly pale blue floral print or smelled like the wrong side of a vegetable oil spill. He could practically feel grease sliding down his skin.
There was a well hidden shudder.
"Should travel then. " he offered, scoffing anyways as she pushed him a long. A waitress rushed by him and he got a look at the food which, while very nicely plated, was just below his standards.
"It is resigned sigh." He offered again as she took a seat and awkwardly shuffled into his own seat. There was a look around and then...
"Tch" Again. Lucyal How he feels truly:

"It's kinda hard to when---" Olga paused, but then didn't finish the thought or sentence. She snorted with amusement. "A resigned sigh." She echoed, amused, and then stared at him as he tch'd again. "Uh..." She stared at him some more. "Have you...even eaten here before?" The waitress stopped by, inquiring what they wanted to drink, and Olga relayed some coffee and water. The waitress turned to Sergei, and Olga just continued to stared at him. "You should probably....um...start looking through the menu, too? I already know what I want!" She was one Sergei away from having a me-party on her birthday to wallow in the solitude and quietness of IHOP's frilly pale blue floral print abode.
