The light winter breeze against soft pale cheeks brought a slight flush of red. It suited the purple and red of her uniform. It also suited the red eyes, that searched the outlining Destiny City.
By her side, was a newly appointed general, and the one true love of her life. The light in her eyes. She searched his for the work. Now that they were of the same level, she fell into the followers role. To show her alliance, to show Auro that she trust him, she would let him run the night.
"To where ever you wish to fly, Aurostibite."

It had been a long time coming.
For four years, Aurostibite had done his duty in the Negaverse. For four years he'd toiled away, following orders, doing his best with what he was told - being what he was good at, being a dog of the Negaverse, in his own words. He'd done all that he could, and for four years, had wondered whether or not it was enough, whether he would ever make it past the rank of Captain.
And finally - finally it was enough.
He stood now, on the parapet of the building with a light breeze ruffling through the air, his long hair rippling darkly out across his back. The new uniform fit well, capelet billowing out, and the gleam of the medals across his chest were the only lighter thing on the dark fabric.
And by his side - by his side the one person he wanted there, more than anything, more than anyone.
Aurostibite turned his head towards Mintaka, the somber expression on his face shifting into one softer, more affectionate than anything else. He reached out a hand and touched gloved fingers to the side of her face, then bent his head and brushed his lips gently over hers just once.
"If you are willing, I'll show you what I do," he said quietly. "Are you ready, my love?"

"Please do." She let her hand fall against his, blushing a bit at his bold kiss in the night and then returning it with a smaller reach of toes up. She had, actually, never seen Auro work besides the alliance that they were attempting together.
She wanted to know, what it was her lover did and what it meant for her. Once upon a time, she had feared the negaverse and their activities. Now? now she did not. She wanted to learn and know and do.
"I am always ready with you." She murmured and looked out. A chill of excitement shivered down her spine.

Aurostibite's lips curved up into a soft smile as she kissed him back. His gloved hand rose and cradled her cheek for a moment, thumb sweeping beneath her eye, over the blush that rose. Mintaka was a light that he should not have deserved in his life, but she was here now, and he was going to focus on keeping her there.
Another brief kiss was pressed to her forehead before his hand fell away and took hers instead. Fingers laced together, and within a second, Aurostibite had teleported them down to the streets, in a darkened alleyway. He'd been watching them for the past several minutes, and knew that there was a man there that had slipped inside, drunken and most likely homeless.
"This way," said Aurostibite, and led Mintaka over to where he sat now, slumped against a wall. He knelt down in front of him, expression quite calm, and stretched out a hand, the tips of his fingers pressing against the man's chest.
In an instant, energy began to pool, began to siphon out, a tiny ball of light starting to form in Aurostibite's other palm.

It had been her first time being teleported, to be honest. In all her dealings with the negaverse, she had never actually...been teleported. Umber and Aurostibite weren't the types to just do it, and Quartz was so new to her.
She almost expected the same thing in mirror travel but it was so much different and so much more just...instant. Like poof.
"Wow." She laughed a little, "What a skill to have." She looked around, "Talk about easy commute home, right darling?" She followed him to a man, slumped against him. The energy drain was so much different then mirrors and she watched with a curiosity and wonder.
It pooled in his hand, forming a tiny ball and she knelt next to him. She didn't want to disturb him.

He smiled slightly at her, the corners of his lips quirking upwards at the edges.
"A very easy commute," Aurostibite agreed. "Though I fear I cannot do it very often. It takes a great deal of energy, and I don't have that much, I have to be careful not to overdo it sometimes. It is tempting to simply disappear and reappear at will, however."
The man in the alleyway gave a little grunt, but Aurostibite made a soft sound of hushing, his voice low as he said, "Sleep."
His gloved fingers curled a little around the ball of energy, keeping it safe. Aurostibite made a point not to take too much - he didn't want to kill the civilian, after all - and stopped after a few minutes, his hand sliding away from the now unconscious man.
Aurostibite turned to look at Mintaka, holding the glowing orb in his palm with a careful reverence.
"Energy, to be deposited properly of in the Rift," he said. "I try not to overdue it when siphoning it off; too much can be dangerous."
