Eilwen hadn't quite been prepared for the paper that she needed to write for her Language Arts class. What did she want to do when she grew up? Did she have a profession in mind? Did she plan on returning to the Scepters? Traveling? Learning some sort of trade? To be honest, Eilwen thought she was too young to be considering her future career. There was still any number of things that could occur to change her future. She certainly didn't think anything she though up now would be set in stone. Though, her own mother had told her she'd always known what she wanted to do. Like she was born to be a stone carver. If Eilwen could think of anything she was as passionate about as her mother was toward stone carving....it would have to be her models.

She loved building those things, seeing the various designs of different buildings and bridges. But could she take that further? Could her fascination with models lead her into a career of building the actual things? Imagine what it must be like to have designed a famous building, one people come to and visit simply because of how unique or event beautiful it is. To have you name associated with something like that would be to live on forever. She had to admit it was a rather exciting thought.

Eilwen was a fan of tinkering with about anything really. At the moment she really stuck to her models. But she sometimes had the urge to pull a mechanical pencil apart and stick it back together again. She was definitely the little fixer-uper in her dorm room, as much as one could be at her age anyway. A wobbly chair? Let's stick some paper under this edge for a while. That sort of thing. She was certainly a practical fixer upper anyway. Maybe a career that involved horseless carriage repair? While she had built a model or two, she'd never actually really tinkered with one before. But it was certainly a thought that peeked her interest.

She thought of the options she's come up with so far and decided to write her paper about becoming a designer. I mean, how fun would that really be? A lot in her opinion. She could help people build homes, stores, places for worship, and just about anything someone came to her for. It was really an exciting prospect.
