That obstacle course had been hell, Zaire never wanted to see skis again. Zaire's head rested on the legs of his lover, comfortable as the larger monster whined. "This is too much work..." Did they really have to? He needed just a little bit of a pick me up from his source of encouragement. A turn and Zaire made a funny fish face up to Jory with a tease of a growl, "kiss me.."

Jolly courseJory's fingers combed slowly through Zaire's hair, fanning it out over his thigh as he watched students coming and going from their perch at the top of the stands. "You signed up for this," he reminded the larger boil gently, lips twitching in a small smile as he bent to give Zaire a kiss. "So how'd you do?"

Testing takes it toll
This time the boil hadn't actively sought out the larger monster. Instead, Jory had retreated to the stands where they'd met up after the obstacle course. It had been a disaster. And absolute fiasco, and he felt just...embarrassed. Academics were supposed to be his thing. What he was best at. And instead he'd very nearly failed the thing, and still wasn't entirely sure why.
The afanc was dejected.

Jolly courseTaking the kiss the monster closed his eyes, fingers playing with the end of Jory's hair within reach. "Mm...not bad...but my feet hurt, you?.." Honestly Zaire couldn't care less if he did well or not. The act that he was even here and somewhat trying was good enough it wasn't as if actual prizes were on the line.

Testing takes it tollZaire had gotten 'lost' when the test started or rather hid out to eat some of the delicious snacks. Academics were not the larger monsters thing and Zaire really didn't feel like getting a headache. A pumpkin spice slushie in hand and the glowing eyed monster made his way back into the stands. "Hey.." Zaire called mouth around straw as he went to stand in front of Jory, back leaning against the rail of the stands. "..Drink?" The slushie cup was shaken towards the other.

Jolly course
Jory flushed, and it wasn't just the kiss or the toying of fingers through the ends of the boil's pale hair. He looked sheepish as he drew back, fingertips tapping softly on Zaire's chest. "Er...better than expected." He chuckled, the sound a nervous titter. "Almost a perfect run."

Testing takes it tollJory jumped at the boil's voice, hands snapping down to grab at the edge of the bench he was sitting on as he watched Zaire wander up to him, slushy drink in hand. "Hey." Long ears drooped as the cup was offered down to him, and the boil took it with a soft murmur of 'thanks', stirring the straw through the slush before taking a small drink.

Jolly courseJory flushed, and it was adorable to watch his lover. The tapping at his chest brought a low sort of laughing growling from chest almost as if Jory had found a ticklish spot. A flash of teeth at reveal and Zaire crowed up to his boilfriend, "good work baby...I'm proud of you." And he was mostly that Jory was taking credit for doing well above anything though, as it wasn't really his lovers way. This was a part of Jory that while Zaire loved he wished he could help, just to make Jory know he was something to take pride in. "I glad at least one of us did well heh..now I don't feel so bad.." Zaire mused teasingly and fingers found Jory's chin again pulling him into another kiss, playing innocent, "victory kiss?"

Testing takes it toll
The reaction was noticed instantly and frowned upon, what had happened, who did he need to kill? A shameless hand went out to touch those cute drooping long ears, trying to play them back to life but not overly doing it since they were in public and he knew Jory's take on that. "...What happened...?" He spoke up blunt and to the point looking a little agitated and ready to kill at Jory's command.

He'd been expecting a bit of pouting, so the praise that followed his admission was sort of a shock. Jory blinked down at the larger boil, ear perking as a hesitant smile twitched at the corners of his lips. "Yeah?" Well, so long as Zaire was happy about it, Jory could be proud of his better than expected performance in the obstacle course. It was a relief.
Large fingers found his chin, drawing him down, and Jory laughed at the innocent play before happily acquiescing to his boilfriend's request. Of course he'd claim a victory kiss.

Testing takes it tollZaire looked about ready to murder someone, and Jory had to reach out a hand to curl fingers around a tanned wrist, tugging him down to sit beside him. "Nothing like that," he answered quickly, realizing where his boilfriend's mind had likely gone. This wasn't anyone's fault but his own. When Zaire had taken a seat beside him Jory moved to lean into him, sipping at the slush in his hands before offering it back. "I bombed the test."

That kiss.
Zaire sunk into it, fingers moving up from under chin to caress the side of Jory's face. When the monster did pull back a soft murmur was directed upwards to his boilfriend, "...love ya..but m'gonna nap on you.....for a minute..." Blue eyes shut and he grinned deviously adding, "boilfriend perk...number three.."

Testing takes it tollGoing with the pull down Zaire's tail swung up to curl possessively around Jory as best it could. Nestled into the other much like a child blue eyes narrowed down as ears listened intently. Waiting anxiously to know what was happening, or had happened. Then it came and Zaire tried HARD not to be annoyed. Just a test. A test. But this was Jory, Zaire knew it meant a lot to his studious boilfriend while to him such a thing meant nothing. A small twitch of lips and Zaire managed a sympathetic looking smile, hand gently nudging the drink back. That being his sacrifice while stealing a nuzzle to blue neck. Because this is what you did when you cared for another creature, you pretend to care just as much as they. "..Uh...well it was about xmass stuff right? I'm sure...you'd kill it...if it was anything important?" Zaire tried having no idea what the test was even like considering he didn't take it.

Testing takes it's tollDrink still in hand, Jory held it between his knees as he leaned into the large boil, sighing softly. "I know that. I know it's nothing i've spent years studying, and it's not even stuff from this world, it's just..." It's just that this was supposed to be what he was good at. This was who he was. "I'm just really disappointed with myself." His head tipped with the nuzzling, eyes closing slowly so he could just rest in the moment and try to forget it. It was just a test. It didn't even have anything to do with their schooling.

Testing takes it's tollZaire was a little lost, having never been good at comforting anyone. Well mostly not good, in cases like this. A hand curled tight around Jory and the larger boil blushed a bright red. His head tipped down and lips met Jory's ear, into it he purred softly, "..if it means anything baby..you're still the smartest creature I know.." Would it help, maybe, maybe not but he meant it and if it didn't then he could hold Jory until he felt better.
