Diana didn't want to leave Max. She'd been asleep for three months and really just wanted to sit an talk to him more than anything else. but she had to go find her weapon. He'd led her to the top of the stairs, and honestly she was glad she wasn't afraid of the dark. It was hard to see anything as she descended the stairs down, down until she came upon a room. It was cramped, cold, and barely lit other than the strange tablets she had heard about. These were the weapons and one of them would be hers.

Not just one, the best one of course. You're a lucky ghoul, ya know.

The sudden whisper surprised her, causing her to jump and nearly stumble forward on her still wobbly legs. She glanced around trying to find where the voice was coming from, but nothing was calling out to her too much.

Well aren't you a jumpy thing. Hurry up and find me, will you? It's so boring sitting here waiting for you to move.

She could hear the sigh in his voice as he spoke, the tone alone making her grumble. She assumed this....thing....was her weapon and it was taking an attitude with her.

Excuse you this thing is a demon of the highest caliber. You best appreciate receiving me.

"Well why don't you tell me where you are then, you strange voice thing?" Diana shot back, moving further along the wall, feeling up tablets of different types as she went. She had to find this damn weapon and get back to Max already. She didn't have time to play games.

Oh sweetheart with me you will have time for games. I love games.

Diana shook her head, touching more of the tablets. They whispered at her and she felt a little bit of something, but definitely not anything loud like this jerk was. He was on a whole other level of annoying, and she really had to question how she got stuck with him.

Like I said, it's because I am the best and you need me. That hadn't exactly explained who he was though, she was really about to just stop and ask him again, but then she felt something way stronger. An unmistakable presence coming from a tablet that had a sort of...dagger on it? Picking it up, she was surprised when the tablet suddenly became a dagger.

Bing, bing, bing. Looks like we have ourselves a winner. See, was that so hard? Now then, I'm Akali, and we're going to have a lot of fun, you and I.

Before she could respond the weapon desummoned itself and wrapped around her wrist, forming a charm bracelet with little cards and other gambling things on it. Great, just what she needed.

"I guess that means we're partners then, huh?" she muttered, looking at the silver bracelet. It really wasn't what she was expecting her weapon to be, but if this was how things were going to go she couldn't complain. He would help her protect Max and others, and that's all she needed from him.

More or less. Things will be so much more fun now that I'm around.
