Sylvite was really loving these new superpowers. Like, not only could she do handsprings and flips perfectly every time, with minimal effort, for hours on end, barley tiring... but she could do them in heels. It was great. This was how she'd been spending her evenings, recently. She had yet to get tired of going on acrobatic adventures around the city in her cute new outfit. It was totally worth her new responsibilities.

Today she paused as she turned into a parking lot and noticed on of those monster things- No, she had to remind herself. Youma. They're not monsters. Then, she walked forward in the normal, boring way. It didn't look very happy. Should she try to help it? Maybe. She kept walking forward, but she didn't hurry too much. She was still getting used to how youma were her friends and not trying to eat her. Before she could get to it, it exploded into dust, revealing a girl. Well, that wasn't good. Was it one of the magical people? Probably, but a quick glance at her outfit, and mostly her super great hat revealed something far more interesting.

"Woah," said Sylvite, eyes shining. "You're a pirate!" But... pirates were bad, right? There was definitely something bad about the girl. For one thing, she'd killed the youma, and for another, it was dark, but looking at her felt way to bright, somehow. Sylvite's eyes quickly narrowed. "Is that why you're killing things? It's kinda mean."

"What? No! Why would I summon a youma? I know they eat people!" She put her hands on her hips and frowned. How would she summon a youma, anyway? Was it one of her new magical powers? She'd have to ask. "You don't have to kill them, though. My General can just, like, make them go away. With magic! It's really cool."

Her frown faded for a moment as she thought about Umber and his fantastic magic, but it returned as she took a closer look at her... enemy or whatever. "You said you're a senshi? So, you're... a space pirate?" Sylvite slowly realized that her outfit wasn't really very pirate-y. It didn't have any crossbones or eye patches or even any black, just the shape of the hat, but whatever. The senshi were trying to take over, apparently, and that made them space pirates. Or something. That was what she was going with, at least.

"I think I'm supposed to fight you, but I don't really know how," she admitted, dropping her hands to her sides and looking up at the much taller girl.

"No, I'm not a General," she said, looking down a bit sadly at the youma dust around her feet. "I guess it's okay if it's all you can do, but I dunno. It still seems kinda mean." Sylvite didn't seem too upset. It raised another question for her mental list, though. What were they supposed to do with youma? There weren't always going to be generals around.

She couldn't think about it too much, as there were more interesting topics at hand. "You can totally be a space pirate! You have the hat, that's the important thing, and you said you're a senshi, right? Aren't you guys trying to, like, take over the planet or something? That's what space pirates do, I think." She didn't look overly disturbed by the idea, just curious. Her eyes were wide, and she was almost smiling. Since it was clear now that they weren't going to fight, she sank to the ground, ending up sitting cross-legged on the asphalt. Her outfit was going to get pretty dusty, but they weren't her real clothes, so it was fine. "My name's," Alexa, she almost said, but caught herself at the last second. "Sylvite. Lieutenant Sylvite. It's pink salt. I don't think I've met any senshi before. It's nice to meet you. I think."

"I didn't say innocent people," protested Sylvite, because that would be really bad, although she had to think for a few moments about a possible explanation, because they had chased her a few times before she'd joined the Negaverse, and she thought she was pretty innocent. "Not mostly, at least. I heard they're our weapons, so I guess they're supposed to eat senshi, which sucks for you, I guess, but..." she shrugged. She'd just seen Sedna kill a youma. It was no wonder they tried to eat her. "Y'know."

And then she was talking about how she was protecting people, which made Sylvite narrow her eyes. It didn't seem like the kind of thing someone trying to take over the world would say, but she wasn't stupid. Real evil people didn't always go around cackling maniacally and killing babies. Sometimes, they were charismatic. They wanted people to like them. "Really? I mean, you seem pretty nice, but I can feel that you're not. Your... aura?" That was what Chrysocolla had called it. "It's really... burn-y."

She grinned at the compliment, though, her whole face lighting up. "Aww, thanks! Sorry if anyone wasn't nice to you... well, I guess they're maybe just doing their jobs, but still. You're the first space pirate senshi I've met, so you're, like, the prettiest, and nicest, and everything!" She giggled, but she wasn't totally kidding. Sedna was really pretty and as nice as could be expected.

She grinned thinking about her recruitment, too. "It's kind of a weird story. I was actually trying to be a knight! I met one a couple months ago and she said all I had to do was find a weapon, so I was looking for one, but I found a monster... I mean, a youma, and I fought it, and this guy showed up and said I did a good job, and he offered me magical powers," she wiggled her fingers dramatically, "And obviously I said yes! It turned out for the best, too, since you guys are the bad guys anyway."

"I guess," she said, pursing her lips. She hadn't thought it was going to be this hard to defend the concept of youma. "I'm still not okay with you killing it. I'll figure out how to send them away, though! ...or get stronger, if I can't do it yet. Then you don't have to."

She squeezed her eyes shut and tried to focus on the aura. "Not hot. Bright. Like... when they turn on the lights at the movies and you can't see, but it doesn't go away... and there's something else. Rotten strawberries. Actually, no. Not really. It's weird. Like something gross that's supposed to be sweet." She opened her eyes and looked at the senshi, at her white bodice and her smile. "You're sweet. But also I've known you for five seconds. I'm not saying you're secretly gross or anything, just... I dunno." It wasn't just the aura. People she liked and trusted had said the senshi were bad. She couldn't like one. It was hard when Sedna called her a cutie, though. Her cheeks tinged pink and she smiled softly. "Thanks!"

Then, she was talking, and- "Wait. Princesses! What? There are princesses?" Sylvite was leaning forward, eyes wide again, her mouth open for a second before closing into a grin. "Okay. That's awesome. So... I guess I'd be on the side with princesses, which would be pretty cool. But... it doesn't work that way, right? I mean, neither of us ended up knights. Don't you have to be from space? I looked for a long time. I think if I had weapons, I would've found them." She shifted, tucking her legs underneath her. Her voice was a little softer, a little more serious. "They say you guys wiped out the rest of the galaxy and are trying to take over here. I wasn't kidding about the space pirate thing, although I guess it would be more like space vikings or something. We're trying to stop you, because, y'know, having a planet is nice." She was simply repeating a story she'd been told. She wasn't really thinking about it. There wasn't a ton of conviction in her eyes, and at the end she smiled.

"I don't think it would've been bad if I'd ended up as a knight or whatever. Honestly, I'm in this for all the cool magic stuff. Saving the world's kinda a bonus."

Finally, something Sylvite knew about! She nodded happily. "Yeah, reincarnation! I know about that! I didn't think you guys were like... literally aliens, but you're still kinda from space. I'm not from space at all." She shrugged. It had been what she'd wanted for a very long time, but now that she had powers and was on the right side of things, it didn't bother her. "You're still not supposed to be here. Like, you should've been born on Sedna... I think... but since you guys destroyed the rest of the galaxy, you're showing up here." She was still basically repeating things she'd been told, but this time she was more confident about it.

"Why would you guys destroy the galaxy?" She asked, not at all accusingly, just... thinking out loud, really. "I get killing youma, even if it's mean, but the galaxy doesn't eat people! It's a nice place! ...I know you keep saying you're not trying to destroy it, but obviously something happened, right?" She paused for a moment, thinking, but the mention of becoming a knight brought her back, and she shook her head. "No, I don't need to be a knight anymore! I finally got weapons, see?" She summoned her lollipops, which weren't particularly threatening, but that didn't stop her from holding them with pride. "And I'm strong, and I have this cool outfit, and my allies are really strong and really cool. It's great."

Sylvite ran the stick of one of her lollipops through the youma dust as she thought, tracing a heart. "Yeah, it's pretty weird, isn't it? I don't know why anyone would want to destroy the galaxy... unless they like, were super extremist and thought humanity needed to be destroyed or something, or super dumb and went way too crazy with the Death Star because they thought explosions were cool... but you don't seem like that, and neither did the other knight I met." She tried adding some swirls to her design, but dust on asphalt wasn't the best doodling medium. Even the heart wasn't very visible. "Nobody told me why... I'll have to ask."

Giving up, she raised her head, drawing her eyebrows together at Sedna's questions. "What? We do that? I don't think... I mean, I wouldn't... well, I guess if they were our enemy I'd have to. I'm a soldier..." She stared past Sedna for a moment, looking very determined, her fists knuckles tightening around her lollipops, her thoughts getting pretty deep as she wondered what that even meant, but then she snapped out of it and grinned. "I dunno, though. I don't know about a lot of this stuff, yet."
