Treasure Trove Echo and Cave Yell are at it again– just what is this booth, anyways? There's a large space marked out with carefully-erected signs, stating that the items within belong to them, and kin are giving them all sorts of treasures in exchange for putting a rock with their name scratched onto it into a pot. "Trading treasures for fabulous prizes!" the doe calls out, before her brother continues. "Fancy your luck? You'll have a chance at much more than just a token if you win!"

Rules: This is a gambling game! - Your kin, in a 50 word or longer post, offers the pair a treasure– living animals, familiars, and bugs are not accepted! - In exchange, they write down their name on a stone, and get to throw it into the pot for a chance at great winnings! You must design or post a copy of your kin's name in order to participate (please resize large images down to a max of 250x250 pixels). Fictional kin may also participate, with a fictional written name. Kimeti writing conventions can be found HERE! - At midnight EST, winners will be rolled for AS PER THIS TABLE and quoted! All remaining tokens will be saved for an end-of-event raffle for the rest of the tokens. - Kin may enter once per day, though I encourage you to have different kin enter if you have multiple kin!

Maize Maze, of course, knew exactly what he'd bring to the gambling pool. If he was to sacrifice a treasure, it'd be his favorite thing- a nice, plump, ripe ear of corn, still juicy from last fall's harvest. It was wrapped in its green leaves and looked simply delicious. He flipped a stone with his glyph, a highly simplified ear of corn, into their prize pot and wished for luck.

Breaks Bones was by nature, a gambler. Any artist was. They took risks in their work, and crafting? Oh he could go on for days about how complex it was. Still, he offered up a rather nice looking pelt, very soft and finely cut before he also flipped a stone with his name into the pot.

"You can have this laurel branch," said Lily, who flicked it off her tail, where it'd been hooked. She pushed her stone forward, her name marked on it carefully - she had to admit that it was a fairly large stone. Hey, she had delicate, ladylike hooves, but they were still hooves. She wasn't a squirrel!

High Frost figured that if he were to try his luck at anything in the market, it may as well be a booth that simply asked for a 'treasure' donation. But what constituted as treasure? He wasn't entirely sure, but after some thought, he approached the booth with at least an offer -- whether or not they took it was yet to be seen. He placed on the booth a shimmery, flaky stone of mica that he had found at the outskirts of the swamp. "I thought it a very interesting find... Does it count?" Beside it he placed an admittedly large stone with his glyph carved on it, a curious and rather hopeful glimmer in his eye...

Once did not have a name glyph. But he figured it should be pretty easy, right? Ah. Well, he had gotten the body part right. But there wasn't really any room underneath that glyph to write his name? What was his name, anyway? Well, Once - he could just slash his hoof across the stone once, right? That'd been pretty easy, he thought. He stepped forward to turn it in, before - "Oh, treasure," he said vaguely. What treasure could he submit? Here, a flower from his mane. "That's all right, right?"

Hollow Reprise approached the booth, a treasure trade? Glimpsing the pair running it, a flashy sort. However, the idea of trying the gamble was exciting enough for his particular tastes. "The treasure I offer to you, my shimmering friends..is a short piece of prose." Truly any kin who appreciated art, could appreciate the art of stories and song? Hollow though the idea was just as good as offering up a pelt, or twig, better even... "Those who follow gold should be careful that the glitter of it does not blind them; as the sun would blind any poor kin that stared into it for too long. For the shadows that lie beyond that brightness are far darker than can be imagined. It is sad how often shadows are confused with softness, when the truth of it is, they are sharp."Hollow smirked before tossing his name stone into the pile.

Sings of Sunlight wandered up to the booth, he'd heard word from his brother, that this was the sort of thing for him! "Greetings beautiful kin!" sings pranced up and gave a flourish and a bow, truly the two were beautiful, and what was that thing on the does shoulder? "Now what sort of game is this, luck, skill, a gamble?" A gamble..Sings was willing to try his luck today. Especially in exchange for fabulous prizes. "If it's treasure you want, then I can certainly deliver. The best treasure ever even!" Sings boasted. "No ordinary treasure either. No, the treasure I offer you, is an idea." Sings smirked, after all, what was more valuable in the swamp than ideas! Need was the motherfather of invention, and the greatest tool of survival, in Sings opinion. Need created ideas! "Picture this! A way to keep your long flowing manes silky and soft as rabbit fur; glowing as the sun!" Sings began scratching the image out in the dirt beneath his hooves. "I hear that all the Acha use it, well, the prettiest ones at least. What Acha doesn't love to preen?""You'll need river silt, the juice of an exotic fruit, and one of that rise and shine groups eggs. A shell or husk to keep the mixture in..you see?" Sings eagerly described using the mixture to rinse with once a week. "You might also be interested in finding a boar..or at least a boars hide..Trust me, once you get the stink off the beast those bristles can do wonders for mane care!" Sings ended his grandiose tale, and tossed his stone into the pile.

Echo and Cave Yell looked at the modest pile of treasures they'd accrued, picking through them with some interest. They'd take what they could get! The corn was very pretty, and dried out, would make for a nice decoration– as well as the small flower and the laurel branch that they'd been given. A flaky, pretty stone, a pelt, and that was it– except for a couple small bits of tribute that had appealed to their vanity– and they had a humble number of individuals to choose from.
"All right, all of you, gather 'round!" one twin crowed, while the other tried to get kindred around to see what prizes they could.

The doe-twin was the one to stick her nose into the pile, nosing around with closed eyes until she'd found what she was looking for. After a moment of choosing, she held the stone up, letting her brother do the examining, and letting him remember which kin it belonged to. "Maize Maze! You win a glorious prize pot of four tokens, and if you seek us out later, you might walk away with a glorious familiar, too." The doe smiled, putting the stone aside. "All right... time for the next one," she said. Breaks Bones (iStoleYurVamps) Lily (thyPOPE) High Frost (Mika_Yumi) Once (thyPOPE) Hollow Reprise (Shiningamisgirl) Sings of Sunlight (Shiningamisgirl)
