A white acha with scales like sunset excitedly skips around his booth, tossing a rock tied with strings to a billowing square of material– one that looks to be made of leaves and some sort of insect's silk. Instead of soaring and then plummeting, the square catches the rock in the air, letting it sail gracefully down, long enough for him to dodge a ghostly sand dog gamboling at his feet and catch the rock from where he'd tossed it. Inbetween these showy throws, he canters about, shouting out at you and all the other passers-by.

"Gather 'round! Come one, come all, try the newest game in the swamp, test your skills, prove your prowess– have some fun!"

When you step closer, the Acha's eyes light up. "What about you, huh? Wanna try your luck?

Rules: Participants write out an introductory post with their Kin coming and being paired to a (fictitious) kin, and roll 2d20. This roll determines your result, which are as follows:

Two 1's: You lost almost instantly, and rather embarrassingly. you get sent off with a toy parachute to go practice with the foals. (Player gets an awful sketch of the participant!)
One 1: You Lost, not managing to get a hang of the novel game. You walk away tokenless.
≤10: Despite your promising start, you flubbed up and didn't recover.

11 to 20: You may not have won, but you earned a token for good play and sportsmanship!
21 to 20: You won, but because of a technicality, some sort of accident, or poor sportsmanship. Nightwatch is disappointed, and forks over a single token, giving the other to your opponent..
1 and 20: You may not have won, but you did something absolutely spectacular during play! Nightwatch is delighted and gives you a token– plus a toy parachute as a memento and encouragement to hone your skills! (Player gets an awful sketch of the participant!)

≥ 31: You won! You get two tokens!
One 20: You won, and rather spectacularly at that!
20 and 20: You dominate your opponent, and Nightlight lets you walk away with the parachute toy as a trophy of your victory! 2 tokens! (Player gets an awful sketch of the participant!)

In order to qualify for a token, a 100 word post must be written, detailing your kin's win, or loss. Please use this code at the bottom of your post!

Still confused? See the post below for an example.

A burly totoma buck charges his way from the surrounding crowd, snorting. "How hard could this be? This looks like a foal's game!" He waits, looking around at the crowd until a Kimeti doe steps up to oppose him.

Nightlife is delighted, cantering over with a parachute. "All right! You two will take turns catching and tossing the toy! The first one to let it touch the ground, or get it stuck hanging on something, loses!" he cheers. "We start in three... two..." he picks up the rock from the ground at the count of one instead of speaking, and flings it into the air, backing away immediately.

The buck charges, getting a horn in against one of the ropes, flinging it back up, before slowing to turn around. The doe is fast after it, but it swings haphazardly down, and she almost doesn't catch it time, but manages to get it into the air.

On the second charge, the buck tosses his head wrong, sending strings scooting further down the curve of his horn, getting the toy snarled.

"Oh no! Looks like that's it," Nightlife crows.

The totoma shakes his head, scraping it against the ground in vain, trying to get the toy off until the stall proprieter comes up to give him some help.

He pushes his way out through the crowd again, grumbling about "nonsense foal's games".

Thunderstep approaches the newly opened booth, eyeing the kin that appear to be playing a simple game; or maybe not so simple? It looks like a catching game, with a cute little floating thing...

Thunderstep quickly makes to find a partner to attempt this new skill game with. Finding another buck waiting; Thunderstep moves to stand across from him, and waits for the signal.

Thunderstep doesn't have any horns to aid him in this game, but he's sure he can do well even without them!

However the other buck is faster, and the misses tossing the little shoot entierly. Thunderstep snorts and kicks at the dirt. His luck with these delicate sorts of games is still terrible! "I suppose I should try later. The motherfather has not been with me at all today." Stomping off in hopes of finding better luck elsewhere.

"Sure?" said Westward Bound. "What sort of luck is involved?"

It turned out that it wasn't really a game of luck - although, considering everyone here was a beginner, it was a bit of a game of luck. Okay. A lot. But in theory - if everyone had some of those rocks -

In theory, there had to be some skill involved. It was a pity, then, that Westward Bound spent much more time trying to predict where the rock would land than actually playing well. He got in a few hits against his opponent - a bronze-colored kiokote - but had to concede that his head wasn't really in the game. At least, he thought, he lost for lack of ability, rather than fumbling - he'd figured out quickly that the bits of silk were not desirable targets for his horns. "Shall we try again?" he asked, intrigued, but - well. There were more kin here who had yet to play. He nodded a good-bye to this acha and went looking for something better to do with his time.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Twas another game that Breaks Bones was not sure that he would have the skills for. Paired with an Acha, He smiled best he could before they began, though quickly, it became apparent that Breaks Bones was at a disadvantage. He was all horns and soft hooves. And this from a kin with a broken horn no less.
He kept fumbling, but while he did, the other kin did not fare too better. It was a sad match of two kin who hardly knew what they were doing really, and when the game ended, breaks Bones sighed. It really was no his forte, these physical games.

Butterfly Kiss approached and listened to the rules. It seemed simply enough, and while executing what he had to do, well... it looked good? And apparently, they had won! Which was good. All of this was good, even if he was vaguely confused and not all that interested in the sport (where were the flowers??). There were no flowers, therefore he was even less interested than he might have been.

However, despite the clear winning and how awesome they were (which he was sure to tell the losing team), they only got a single token. Huffing softly, he took it and left the duo. So much for winning!

"Me, me, me!" said Wild Green Stones, shoving his way up to the acha. "What're we doing? Whoops, sorry - don't think I can see you, there."

He faced his opponent with a roguish grin, tossing his head from side to side. "I'm Wild Green Stones," he said. "Pleased to be facing you today. Mostly because you? Do not look like a winner." He winked, something that he was pretty sure made him look handsome as ******** had first serve, mostly because he shoved the other guy out of the way ("whoops - didn't see you!"). He knocked the rock with his horns and waited for it to - ah, yes. There it was. Over there? He made a run for it, knocking it into the air again just barely, and then proceeding to skid right into his opponent. For some reason this meant the guy wasn't able to hit the stone again. Shame!

Needless to say, the booth runner did not seem very pleased.

Blue Blood was surely going to get himself hurt this day. After the caiman, the fumble with a frog what was next? Running into rocks? Maybe. The whole idea to keep the toy in the air was promising sure, but now, Blue Blood was wary of anything that might harm him. Still, in the spirit of the season, he figured it was better to try than to not.
Gathering his courage he began to work at keeping his eye on the prize. He didn't last long however, and soon enough the toy hit the ground. At the very least, Blue Blood figured, he'd not gotten hurt.

"Pick me, pick me!" Lily laughed. "Oooh, it looks dangerous - I'm not sure if I want to hit my head on that rock. But that was why she had a back made of scales, right?

She got right into the game once the other acha had found an opponent for her. Unfortunately she was a bit less dextrous with her butt than she'd imagined. "Well done," she told her opponent, fluttering her eyelashes coyly. She did like winners, after all, especially if they'd done well. She nodded cheerfully to the game's runner and took off with her pity token.

There was definitely someone that First to Strike wanted to be playing this game with. It didn't look like she was in attendance here, though - or maybe she was, and had just been...lost in the crowd? Who knew?

Actually, he was pretty sure that Never Misses was always noticeable - or at least that she was always watching him. It felt like he was encountering her at every turn! Surely he didn't...ah. It was his turn, and his opponent was staring impatiently at him. "Sorry about that," he said, laughing to himself. "I don't suppose Grumble can get a bit of play in, too?" He indicated his minibear companion, but in all honesty the little guy seemed content to sit on the sidelines and watch.

He put up a fair fight - most memorably catching the stone with his back hoof just as it was about to hit the ground - but eventually had to concede the match to the other combatant. "Good game," he said, nodding to both his opponent and the acha showrunner. "Say, how did you say you made those little flat things?"

Dogrot knew nothing about games, skills, or prowess, but the curious silk device had caught its attention. It lurched towards the game's host in a manner that might have been alarming to any onlooker not already gagging from the smell. Some other unfortunate kin stepped up at the same time, and Dogrot turned to regard it with a half-shut, pus-filled eye.

"W-we're supposed to...eck...fight...I...guess?" the unfortunate fellow asked through gritted teeth.

Dogrot inclined its head, following the path of the toy behind the other kin. The kin cringed at what horror might be visited upon it, but, abruptly, Dogrot turned and walked in the opposite direction instead. There were still more wonders to visit. The other kin sighed in relief.

"I think you like me," grinned First to Strike. "Can I serve again?"

He seemed almost impatient through the explanation of the rules. Reasonable, though, considering he'd already heard it. Unfortunately having already heard the spiel didn't mean he was great at remembering it. He darted to and fro a bit as he waited for the game to begin, and when it finally did he seemed unnecessarily fierce. No one really needed to - uh - stomp on the other kin's tail like that to win, right?

At least he came out on top. He turned to the acha, beaming, but was disappointed when the dude handed out a token each to him and his opponent. "Hey! I won!" he sulked.
