Midgard liked to do things she wasn't supposed to, which mainly involved her shirking her duties in the labs in order to wander the rest of the surrounding. It wasn't that she didn't like working in the labs and working with the magical properties of defensive magic and developing better armor. She just preferred to wander, explore, and discover.

Besides, she'd spent the last three days cooped up in her wonder and desperately needed to stretch her legs. Plus, she was feeling rather sociable, which meant that she wanted to bother some of her fellow knights.

Luckily she that the exact knight in mind.

And so, she trudged up the path of the river that wound down towards Midgard and set out towards the Virgo outpost. It was a longer trek than she would've liked and about halfway there she got tired of her long pale green hair sticking to her neck so she stopped to pull it into a ponytail before continuing.

Finally Amelia crossed into Celsus's territory with a large grin on her pale face. "Aurelis~" She chirped, framing her mouth in a makeshift amplifier. "Auuuureliisss, come out come out whereever you are~" She said in a sing-song tone.

The girl spun in a circle as she called for her friend, dark purple eyes sweeping across the area.

Aurelius, much to the chagrin of several of his aides, was not actually doing anything productive.

He supposed he should be. He supposed he should be doing a great many things, such as going over the duties once more, figuring out the organization of the next knight mission, as well as a few minor things that had slipped his mind. Instead, he'd spent the better part of an hour reading.

Reading, and reorganizing. The Wonder of Celsus was enormous, a sprawled labyrinth of rooms and shelves as tall as the ceiling, filled with all manner of books and papers and objects. Only the front of it was actually presentable, everything neatly tucked away. The back rooms, where Aurelius himself resided, were a great deal messier, clustered papers and books littering the floors and tables in a manner that only a certain type of person would be able to distinguish.

Aurelius could be found in one of these rooms - his office, to be precise, or at least, the main one. Seated at his desk, long robes draped over the sides of his chair, he was lost in thought as he bent over a sheaf of parchment, not noticing the echoing footsteps until he heard the voice.

A smile touched his face, amusement in his voice as Aurelius leaned back and called,

"Here, darling girl, I'm back here - third room in the back."

Amelia loved venturing into Celsus, because she loved the vast amount of books that the labyrinth held. She was always eager to learn something new and couldn't get enough of the knowledge that the rooms contained, but she was also easily distracted and would leave her books scattered across tables, never returning them to their proper places.

That was part of the reason she didn't visit as often as she wanted to.

She bounded forward, practically bouncing on the balls of her feet as she made her way down the hall and towards the sound of Aurelius' voice. She counted the rooms as she walked, dipping into the third room swiftly and smoothly.

Purple eyes spotted the knight and she grinned brightly at him while she threw herself into a chair across from him. "Aurelius," Amelia chirped happily, throwing her legs over the arm rest as she stretched across the table to snatch the parchment away. "I think you've been inside for too long, you should go outside, explore with me."

Visitors at present were quite welcome, especially since Aurelius would rather be doing anything than working. A shameful trait for a knight, perhaps, but it was true, at least for now, when he had been working for so long and on such tedious matters. An interruption was bound to be better than staring at the papers in front of him for another twenty minutes and absorbing nothing of what it actually said.

Aurelius waited patiently as the footsteps drew nearer, and then a familiar figure came into sight, her purple eyes luminous in the dusty room. He leaned back in his chair as she flung herself into the one across from him, and surveyed her with a look of amusement on his face.

"Is that right?" he asked lightly, and made a rather pathetic attempt at grasping the parchment before it disappeared, but it was halfhearted. Aurelius let out a small laugh and stretched his arms above his head, twisting his neck from side to side to work out the kinks.

"Explore what, exactly, my dear?"

She scanned the parchment halfheartedly, bored by the time she got even halfway through it.

"Does it matter?" She asked, head snapping up from her reading, loose strands of hair falling from her ponytail and across her face. "There's so much to explore here. I swear there's always a secret hallway or room that I've missed whenever we go into any of the outposts."

Amelia was a painfully curious creature who couldn't resist a keep out sign.

"We could wander through Aries, or Sagittarius." Sagittarius was her favorite, given that their sphere was exploration. "I can't spend another minute doing research today," she whined, flopping back in her seat dramatically, arm dangling across her face for added effect. "We're not getting anywhere and I'm tired of looking over results." Her project had been particularly aggravating lately and she needed a recharge.

"Just, indulge me a little bit, please." She threw a puppy-dog pout his way. "I'll make it worth your while," she offered, complete with an exaggerated eyebrow waggle.

"I'm relatively certain that there are places within Celsus that even I have not yet discovered," said Aurelius musingly, tapping a finger against his chin thoughtfully. "There are bound to be passageways that lead different places, I have yet to find one that leads into this office, but maybe there's something secret somewhere that we can stumble across.

A laugh escaped him as he reclined. Amelia's enthusiasm was highly amusing, not to mention endearing. And the way she was looking at him now, with the big eyes and the almost-pout made him realize - or rather, remember - that he would inevitably give in.

Such a tragedy. Except not really.

"All right, all right," said Aurelius with another laugh. He pushed his chair back from the desk and came around to stand beside her instead, hands tucked into the sleeves of the draping uniform he wore, the sigil of Chronos emblazoned on his shoulders and hemline. "Let us go on an adventure then, shall we?"

"I bet if you gave me a day, I'd find you the passage way into your office," she declared confidently. It was part of what made her such a good researcher, her ability to solve puzzles. It was also probably why she got so frustrated when she couldn't figure something out.

The same reasoning she took a lot of breaks, to break up the montomay.

"Of course, there's a chance I'd get horrendously lost and you'd have to come rescue me," she made a face at the thought. Amelia was no damsel in distress. She was easily worth two men. "Though," she pondered, tapping her chest thoughtfully, "it would be a fun roleplay opportunity."

She laughed.

She sprung to her feet whe he conceded, struggling to refrain from thrusting her fist into the air in victory. She knew with almost absolute certainty that he would cave to her pout, Aurelia's couldn't resist the pout.

She beamed up at him as she tugged the tie out of her hair, shaking the long locks free before offering her his arm. "Shall we good sir?"

"Maybe we'll make a day of it," said Celsus with a laugh. "I'll give you a time limit, and if you can discover the passageway into my office, then you'll get some sort of prize. I'm not entirely certain what that prize would be, but it would certainly be something nice."

He grinned at her. "I doubt that. You're quite capable on your own, darling."

Damsel in distress was about the last thing that Celsus considered her, after all. She was quirky and sweet and confident, and that alone was enough to convince him that, should anyone need saving, it would most definitely not be her if she could help it.

An eyebrow rose at the offered arm but then reached out and accepted it, guiding Amelia out of the office and out into the wide, brightly lit hallway with its white marble floors and golden fixtures. If there was one thing that Celsus was not, it was dark and gloomy, for which he was much appreciative.

"Where should we go first, oh grand adventurer?"

"We should," she agreed with a firm nod as they walked. "You'll have to make the prize a good one for me." If she was going to find the secret passage into his study, she wanted a damn good prize, especially if it helped him get through his wonder faster. "We can even time it, then see how long it takes me to find other passages."

It'd be a fun game and a nice break from the monotony.

"Midgard doesn't have fun passageways, not really. It's got a set of escape tunnels that are technically secret tunnels but I found them on like my first day," she sighed dramatically. "Where's the fun in that?" Her wonder had lots of benefits, but not the kind of ones she preferred.

"I've never really been to Leo, we should go there." She declared.

"I will have to come with a prize suitable for a smart and clever young lady such as yourself," said Aurelius grandly, eyes twinkling with mischief. He let out a laugh as he followed along beside her, patting her hand affectionately. "Though I fear sometimes you are far too intelligent for your own good."

There was an amused expression on his face, head tilted slightly to the side. "You will have to show me Midgard, it has been some time since I visited another's Wonder. Alas, I am always trapped within the confines of my own office daily."

This was said in a mock lamenting tone of voice, Aurelius being deliberately melodramatic. He turned and grinned at Amelia, eyebrows raised.

"I cannot recall if I have ever been to Leo, either, other than to drop things off briefly," he said musingly.

"I look forward to see what prize you deem worthy!" Amelia declared as she pulled him along. "What's wrong with a bit of cleverness?" She asked, frowning at him. "It certainly keeps things interesting."

Of course, it also got her into her fair share of trouble. Not everyone was happy with her poking around, but she'd never been good at resisting a keep out sign. Besides, the way she figured it, things were meant to be explored. Otherwise, what was the point?

"Yes, yes. You'll have to come visit me soon Aurelius," the green haired girl nearly begged. "It gets dreadfully boring up there with just the other researchers and aides. I'd much rather have you around."

She much preferred her fellow knight's company and if part of the reason was because he enabled her well, that was just a bonus. "You're only as trapped as you let yourself be Aurelius," she mock-scolded, giving him a stern look that only lasted a minute before she was grinning at him again. "You should get out more though, the labyrinth is fascinating, but so is the rest of the surrounding."

She halted, purple eyes narrowing as she looked around them, tongue pressed against her cheek before she picked a direction sure it was the way towards Leo's outpost. "It's quite beautiful, but you'd expect that from radiance y'know? I've been inside once, but it was so brief I don't know the first thing about it."

And that's what made it so interesting to her, the unknown.

Aurelius let out a laugh that echoed along the vast hallways. Celsus was a spacious place, full of wide, brightly lit corridors, vaulted ceilings, and expansive rooms that made the entire Wonder seem very open and welcoming. The white marble and consistent light streaming in through the floor-to-ceiling windows only added to the effect, inviting a sense of security and pleasantness to all who walked its stone floors.

"A bit of cleverness is never a bad thing, my dear," said Aurelius, winking down at Amelia. "It's what you use your cleverness for. I'm quite certain if you did not manage to restrain yourself, you would land yourself in a bit of trouble. That's not to say I wouldn't," he added, as an afterthought; Aurelius was, by nature, a notorious prankster, constantly exasperating his aides, after all.

He grinned. "Well, when I next take a trip to Midgard, I will most certainly enliven your experience. Perhaps we can cause a bit of mischief with these aides of yours; this is where that extra bit of cleverness would come most in handy, right?"

They were nearly to the door now, and Aurelius' long, draping robes swept out behind him as they walked, pushing open the exit that would take them to the vast road of rainbow colors stretching between all of the outposts and Wonders. He turned his head to look at Amelia, his own steps coming to a slower stop beside her as she glanced around.

"I have not the first clue as to which way it is," he said with a sigh, Aurelius peering left, then right. "Which, as my own aides would tell me, is problematic."

It was easy for Amelia to forget how big Celsus was in comparison to Midgard and she was reminded as they walked through the labyrinth and towards the exit. "Oh, I'm always getting into trouble," she chirped, Cheshire-grin spreading across her face as she beamed up at him. "It keeps things interesting!"

Especially when it came to places she shouldn't be in, she liked those best because it meant there were things to discover.

"Perhaps we should get up to some trouble together then, we're awfully clever. Think of the things we could do, or get away with." It was sorely tempting, bringing him into Midgard and taunting all of her aides. They were frustrated enough with her tendency to wander off.

She needed to be able to refresh herself though, couldn't work away in the lab endlessly like they could. She needed to stretch and be free, lest she burn herself out.

"Aurelius!" Amelia gasped at his admission. "How could you not know? I swear, what would you do without me?" She asked, pulling him along towards the Leo outpost.

"Just remember," said Aurelius sagely, as though he was some sort of expert on the rules of wreaking havoc and causing mischief - which he wasn't, but he liked to believe he was more experienced than most in certain areas. "When keeping things interesting, it always does to have a hiding spot prearranged so that you have a place to slip into. And always claim innocence."

He grinned cheekily down at Amelia. "But you're good at that, aren't you?" he teased, nudging her side with his elbow.

Aurelius could not help but laugh; she was a lovely person to be around, after all, and they shared many of the same mindsets when it came to finding the continual political procedures particularly dull. "I think that would be a wonderful idea," he said grandly. "We could create a delightful sense of mayhem, wouldn't you say?"

The rainbow road stretched out in front of them, bright and inviting. Aurelius snorted rather inelegantly, but allowed himself to be pulled along after Amelia, shaking his head so that his tan colored curls bounced against his face.

"Apparently I would be at a severe loss," he said dramatically.

"Well duh," Amelia replied with an over dramatic eye roll and a huff. "You always play innocent even when it's obvious that you're guilty." And you had to have a knack for talking your way out of compromising situations, which the page had gotten pretty profiencent at.

She had to, with all the trouble she got into.

"A bit of mischief and mayhem is definitely something I'm into," she declared, winking his way. "I'm so glad we're friend Aurelius, everyone else is often dreadfully boring and you, at the very least, will indulge me instead of telling me to return to Midgard."

All work and no play made Amelia a very agitated girl.

"Obviously and you'd get lost in your own labyrinth without me to rescue you," she teased. She halted in her walk, frowning as her purple eyes swept around the area. She tapped her chin thoughtfully. "This way!" She declared before marching towards the east.
