Chibi Makemake had visited her home many times now. Still, it remained desolate and broken. What could you expect from a place made of porcelain? Like a christmas village, everything was fragile, and after ages of neglect and abandonment, was chipped, crumbling, and beyond any amount of super glue.
There was only one place that seemed to have remained protected - the Tower of Dolls.
It was here Makemake came, every time she visited. The Tower of Dolls was full of life, and seemd to be nothing but shelf upon shelf of dolls, all unique. If one listened, they could almost here the voices of the souls within the dolls - the souls of those who used to live here.
Long ago, everyone that had resided on Makemake had fled to the tower in terror of the great evil that had come, and by the power of the late Sailor Makemake, were protected, although at the price of their physical bodies. Now their soul resided in the dolls, and the previous Sailor Makemake had used all of her power to ensure the tower did not fall.
Despite being preserved, it had been far from pristine when Chibi MakeMake had arrived. With each visit, the young senshi took to cleaning away the dust and cobwebs, polishing the dolls and shelves.
Today, on the senshi's fourteenth birthday, the task would be done. The last doll would be cleaned, and the tower would be pristine again.
"There you go, Cedric," Chibi Makemake said, as she placed the doll back on it's polished shelf.
Then a bright light shined around her, and the Chibi senshi was no more. She was simply.... Sailor Makemake.
"Woah, what...what was that?"
It was then that Pravoski, who had been sitting on one of the tower steps dawned a concerned look. He'd been hoping this day wouldn't come. Foolish a thought as that may have been.
"You're not a chibi anymore....Sailor Makemake."
"I'm not?" Makemake looked herself over. Nothing seemed different. "What does that mean?"
"That means," Pravoski began, "That you have to be more careful than ever. Now the forces of Chaos can...can.." The cat shuddered.
"They can what?" Makemake asked, curious.
"They can make you one of them," Pravoski answered.
Makemake turned away, and was quiet a while. She looked pondersome before looking over her shoulder out of the corner of her eye at the cat.
"And would that really be so bad?"
"HOW COULD YOU ASK SUCH A THING!?" All the hair on pravoski's body stood on end as he arched his back.
"Every time I meet someone on this side, they dismiss me and don't tell me anything! Every time I've met someone of chaos, they've been helpful! They've told me the things I need to now -- unlike a certain cat I know!" Make make shouted back, hands in fists as she turned to stare the cat down.
"Make..." Pravoski's ears flattened as the young girl yelled at him.
It was true....he'd not been helpful. he'd hoped by keeping her uninformed that she wouldn't get hurt. But Makemake was a curious girl. Too curious for her own good...
Pravoski couldn't help but worry now. Makemake's words were troubling. He...he hadn't been a good guardian and now...now it seemed Makemake might be headed down a dark path.
And now...there was no going back.
