Tiamat is a WIP

User Image The time was nigh; it was time for Proserpine to act. Her Shadow had given her orders, very strict orders, and Proserpine was not going to disobey. Long ago did she repress her own visible will. Long ago did she shed her mortal shell in favor of the truth, the true darkness; the true state of being. Her Shadow was ruler supreme. Her Shadow was the ultimate prize. She had once asked her Shadow what she was to call it. It used to just laugh and tell her to stop asking such nonsensical questions. But now…but NOW things were different. Proserpine had a name for her Shadow. And it made everything so much more legitimate, so much more…tangable.

”I am known as Tiamat my pet. And you will be the conduit of my return.”

And when Proserpine looked within into the darkness of the large cave at the top of the mountains, she saw a pair of glowing red eyes, staring into her soul, surpassing everything Proserpine had come to know as herself. Piercing, and dark, darker than anything Proserpine had witnessed before. The mere presence of knowing that her Shadow had a will of its own made her shiver in delight. It was like knowing that a dark, evil guardian was watching over her.

”So far your actions under my own name, even without you knowing the nature of my exact presence, have been helpful, but erratic. Now I will teach you how to hone your nature to a needlepoint. Follow my orders and you shall be more powerful than any other creature in these lands.”

“What shall you have me do?” Proserpine had bowed her head in reverence, no longer meeting the gaze of the red eyes of her guardian.

There was a pregnant pause. A shuffling of hooves inside the cave, and Proserpine could then just make out the outline of a draconic looking mare. Tall and bulky, a powerful clubbed tail slithering from side to side, and a large set of wings set at her side.

”Find the Kalona known as Alexandrite. She will be your right hand, the one to find you the others. To create things anew in darkness.”

“And then?”

“Build your inner circle. Find those who would follow you and your orders. And then, when you feel that your group is worthy, come to me again and you will get your next set of orders.”

“Yes ma’am. I will not fail you.”

”I know you won’t my pet. You have been the one who has beat the odds.”

And so, Proserpine had left the mountainside, this time feeling the loss of Tiamat on her shoulder. But feeling no less powerful, not less ready to bring the true world of the lesser soquili below. To find Alexandrite, and begin the creation of her inner circle.

And as she did so the mare known as Tiamat stepped out of the cave and into the light. A large smirk adorned her sharp maw. Her eyes following the black coated mare she had been whispering to for years, pushing her further and further towards the darkness, towards molding her into the perfect killing machine of her own design. Proserpine had been everything Tiamat had been wanting, been asking for. A young mare ripe for the taking, for manipulating. It couldn’t have been a better fit or timing. Her escape from the hellish prison the stupid herd of Asmodian’s had left her weak and vulnerable. But through Proserpine and her eagerness Tiamat was able to gain enough strength again to show her presence, to show her dominance over the weaker beings that called themselves soquili.

”Malware, come to me.”

User ImageA fluttering of wings and an odd looking wolf landed at the dragon’s feet, his body seemingly looked like it was fading in and out of existence.

“What is it my lord?”

”Follow my Pet, make sure she does what she is told. I have other planning that needs to be done. That accursed Asmodian Mataius has followed me down south.”

“The one who oversaw your imprisonment you after you killed his mate? The one known as Mataius?”

”Yes, that pompous stallion. If you see him or run into him do not engage. Tell me his whereabouts and continue to follow Proserpine.”

“Of course my lord.”

“Oh, one more thing Malware. The mage’s sister, Matania is also down here. Find out any information you can on her. Leave no place unwatched.”

Malware nodded and flew off, following a safe distance behind Proserpine so as to not be detected. And Tiamat watched him carefully, not content until she was certain he was on the right path. When he was, she leered with a dark smile on her muzzle, each fang glinting dangerously with a promise of death. Tiamat, of Shadows, the Dragon Lord, had a plan, a delightfully dangerous plan that would ruin the remainder of Matania’s soul, show Mataius that his holier than thou ways would be the end of his life, and show everyone down in these lands that SHE was their ruler. That SHE was their God. Her will WOULD be obeyed. And she would kill anyone who stood in her way.

”You want to play with fire Mataius? I’ll let you play with fire. You and all your loved ones will burn. And I will enjoy tearing them apart while you watch helplessly from the sidelines. You and your sister will meet the truth death. I assure you that it will not be pleasant. It will not be quick. And you will not enjoy it.”

Tiamat chuckled quietly to herself and walked around the Cliffside, watching the tree lines down below. In her new world the trees will burn again with her and her Balaur followers. In her new world the old one will burn. And she will enjoy every, single, minute of it. Nobody will try to imprison or try to kill her again. She will be unstoppable.

”Go now my Pets. Spread the seeds of darkness. I know you all will not fail me.”

One by one, multiple sets of clawed and hooved feet stepped forward from behind her. Her own set of loyal subjects, her Balaur, were ready to command. Were ready for her disposal.

Perfection.

Utter. Perfection.
