Appearance: Anyone who has happened to get a glance of Faelan outside of combat would no doubt think that he was in fact a cold and beautiful young woman. They would not be entirely wrong, but Fae's unique body is the by product of countless biochemical and biological experiments that were specifically designed for the female body. These experiments have left him with a highly unstable body that requires constant maintenance and a regimen of chemical injections to keep it from degrading. Faelan's skin was the first to be effected losing its natural tan color and fading into marble-like pale that was devoid of any imperfections. While his hair turned from its natural black to a bright white. With those changes coupled with a developing medium bust and a very feminine hour glass figure and it is easy to see why Faelan is easily mistaken for a woman. However another one of the various changes happen only after he takes beserk, in which his eyes change from their normal pale blue to a bright gold as well as the various, normally invisible, tattoos on his body react by turning a bright red. Coupled with his already ghost like image and the black wolf mask make for a rather ferocious sight. As for attire Faelan did not leave Sanctuary with much in the way of personal effects so he has taken to wearing the various feminine clothing that was bought for him by the doting nursing staff after he was taken to the Asian BAITR base. However whenever out in the field or deployed in on a large scale mission Faelan wears an old style military uniform that was specially designed for him and along with binding back his chest and the black wolf mask he is able to appear more gender neutral.

Personality: Fae could be described as a complex and broken individual who has been broken down and reformed along with his rather unique body into three distinct layers that make up one whole. More than once has his mind been broken by unspeakable pain only to be revived once again and thrown back upon a merciless battlefield. There are three distinct layers to Fae's personality the first is the outer layer which could be described a simple 'mask' he wears in front of your average person. This Faelan appears to be very apathetic person whom enjoys laying around in high places and watching those around him come an go about their average life. However aloof he might appear at first glance for those that actually know Fae he can appear to hold a somewhat child like curiosity and attitude by demanding the attention of the few close personal friends he might have or laying around and being pampered by the various women whom find him adorable.

The second layer of the Faelan sheds his apathetic mask and reveals a tiny bit of the real Fae beneath. This Fae is the one that is mainly seen when entering into battle or out in the field. He is calm, calculating, and not a single thing is wasted in the pursuit of his mission. Even though he is considered calculating Faelan is does not hesitate to make a decision and then see it through. A strength of will that is rarely seen even in the most battle tested elites. However appearing calm Fae takes in everything around him barely missing anything within his field of vision and is capable utilizing the anger within him to fight back in a calculating manor and protect those who

However this clam Fae is simply another front meant to control the beast that is Fae's true nature. A series of psychological seals must be broke before the last layer is removed and the true Fae can make his way to the surface. The first is physical and solidifies the seal within his mind, and it is the black half mask he wears to cover up his feminine facial features during a mission. The mask must be removed either by his own will or by force for the other two seals to be broken. The second and third seal work in conjunction with one another to solidify the seal within his mind. The second seal requires Faelan to acknowledge an enemy as someone whom is worthy of his actual power where as the third seal is a fail safe that nullifies the first two seals if Fae ever experiences life threatening danger. When these conditioned are met the true Faelan can be finally seen. When the last layer fades there is a brief moment where Faelan gains a bit of enlightenment about himself and often times appears rather cocky and arrogant for a few short moments before the last of his emotions are purged from his mind. At this point it is safe to say that Faelan's only concern would be the utter destruction of anything around him. As if killing is the only way for him to alleviate some kind of great pain within his heart.


Bio: A Royal Legacy

The McBride name was not very well known before the fall of the alien spaceship. Arthur McBride was a combat engineer for the Royal Marines. When the Spaceship landed and the UN started recruiting people for study and protect the ship Arthur McBride was among the first round of recruits. As the ship was preparing to depart Arthur was among the first to volunteer to go in and stop it. After fighting through unmistakable horrors Arthur survived. If you could call his lifeless stare and barely functioning mind living. There where times Arthur was lucid and times he was not. When his son, Rowan, turned ten Arthur had a moment of clarity. He told Rowan of everything he saw within the ship and how it would eventually become a great threat to humanity. Arthur told Rowan everything and then when he was done and the moment of clarity was fading he found his service weapon and shot himself in the head in front of his son. The fire that rose within Rowan that day became a great strenght that drove him to become one of the first Baiters to fight back against the AI.

The current McBride family is considered to be among the wealthiest and most power families that make up the backbone of BAITR. The Family has made their name in the world of BAITR for raising Baiters with the ability to control the most ruthless and brutal AI's. The will of a McBride Baiter was truly hard to control. Currently the McBride family consists of one main family and five branch families. Each branch family is allowed to operate independently, but are still formally under the control of the main family. However in the recent years the main family's control has been slipping as they have yet to produce a Baiter above B-Rank. Each branch family invests and runs companies that operate in technological research, Organic foods, and even Biological sciences. The status and power of a branch family depends on wealth where the power of the main family comes from the strength of their Baiters, and with the decline of strong Baiters in the main family the Branch families have been looking to wrest control of the family from the main family.

The Valkyrie Falls

Kaylen was born to the McBride main family on tales of her great, great, grandfather Rowan McBride. When she was little Kaylen couldn't be stopped from exploring all the things within the McBride manor and on the island the family owns. It was during this time that Kaylen stumbled upon a section of the manor that had been previously sealed off underground. The area was perfectly preserved and locked off from the outside world. Within there was no technology that could escape and underground chambers was shielded. Until Kaylen broke into the underground chamber no one in the world knew it existed. It was Rowan's private chambers where in he stored everything he had collected over the years along with all the books and journals he kept. Kaylen kept the room a secret and learned all she could before resealing the room. Armed with Rowan's knowledge Kaylen underwent her HALF at the age of sixteen and then quickly rose to prominence within BAITR taking on her first A-Rank mission at the age of twenty. It was during this mission that Kaylen took on three Mega level AI's by her self and tamed each one using the techniques left behind by Rowan. She then had three different armaments made for her new AI's two winged armors and a giant spear. It was these Code Cores that earned Kaylen the name The Valkyrie as she appeared just like the Valkyries of legend descending on her foes with all the power back by gods.

Not long after Kaylen was asked to under take another A-Rank mission that would lead her into the heart of Japan. Kaylen was to take a team of twenty elite B-Rank Baiters into Tokyo to scout the enemy AI and set up an outpost. Ten days into the mission Kaylen and her team entered Tokyo without much resistance. Any AI that entered their path were easily killed off by Kaylen. However as they reached the city limits the frequency of encounters rose and the AI became stronger and more aggressive as if they were protecting something. Fear lingered in each Baiter's heart as they began to get pushed back by the waves of enemies. Then it arrived. It was not an AI, at least not fully, and it wasn't human either. It was a true pairing of both and the strength it wielded was undeniable. It swept through the Baiters ranks easily. Before one could breathe over ten of the B-rank Baiters were murdered. When they died however their bodies were not remade. They were all truly dead. The Human-AI was absorbing parts of their code and deleting the regeneration code within each baiter so they could not revive. Kaylen handed control over the team to Kota, a young man rising in fame within the Asia office, and then headed off to engage the enemy. Immediately Kaylen knew that this thing, this monster, was once a rather strong Baiter whom had lost control. There were many notes and drawings of such a thing. Kaylen fought with everything she had, but it wasn't enough. The fight lasted a full two weeks and in the first both of her winged Code Cores were ripped from their connection mods grafted onto her back. The AI's crushed and devoured by the monstrous enemies. As they fought the moved and eventually the AI had driven Kaylen back towards the cost of Japan. Then it ended. Three quick blows. One shattered Kaylen's spear, the next ripped a hole in her shoulder, and the last punctured her stomach. Her unconscious body fell into large river that carried her out to sea.

The Exiled Samurai

In Japan their hides a large village shrouded in mystery. It was built within a vast mountain and is said to be a safe haven for any woman with no where else to turn, and was only to be known as Sanctuary. The elite, all woman, mercenary force known as The Order of the Scarlet Rose was created within Sanctuary for it's protection, but now they also hire themselves out to protect high female dignitaries, steal back particular items, and assassinate evil men. They were forged of the scorn of beaten and sold women. As most of the crimes members of the Scarlet Rose commits are against the more evil citizens of the world they are not usually targeted for reprisal by the larger authorities and are even left alone by BAITR as many women taken in by Sanctuary often times later become high ranking Baiters. It was truly a safe haven for lost women, but the one rule sanctuary had was that men were not allowed to live there. Even male children who were born there were only allowed to live within the walls of sanctuary for sixteen years before they would be cast out or killed by the forces of Sanctuary. One such male child was Ryu Tachibana. Ryu was born to Rikirn Tachibana, the leader of The Order of the Scarlet Rose, and one of her many lovers. As the secrets of Sanctuary were highly guarded the male children were forbidden from learning them. Ryu, however, was different than normal people. All Ryu needed to do was watch how something was done and he could recreate it. So Ryu trained in secret and honed his skill for the day he was going to get kicked out of his home. His mother was cold and distant. She thought only for herself and the protection of her city.

The only motherly thing that Rikirn ever did for Ryu was leave him with enough money to carve out a small life for himself in the US, and along with the money she left him a sword that would act like a badge for his future wife if she ever met with misfortune and Ryu had died. The sword was one of a kind and Rikirin called Scarlet. Even though the metal appeared black when the light hit the blade it shined red thanks to the special way the blade was crafted. It was something that could only be crafted within sanctuary. It was this sword that Ryu used to carve out a name for himself as a retrieval expert and bodyguard. Essentially Ryu protected and stole things that were stolen by others. Often times he would take an assassination job to simply pass the time. However his actions did not escape the eyes of Sanctuary. Fearful that he would expose their secrets Sanctuary set Ryu up to be killed. They lured him out and ambushed him deep within AI territory. Eventually Ryu was over whelmed and left for dead suffering various mortal wounds. Ryu survived and crawled his way to the nearest town. Eventually he was nursed back to health but even with the advancements in medical science he was not fully healed. The doctor that healed him gave him only a few more years before his body would completely fail. So Ryu used the money he had left and built himself a house on a island not far from the cost of Japan. It was completely barren of technology and a perfect place to settle. Five months after Ryu settled himself into the island he was out fishing and happened upon the body of a young woman floating out at sea. He brought the woman back to his house and began nursing her back to health.

A Grandmother's Hate

Kaylen stayed unconscious for several months during which Ryu nursed her back to health. When Kaylen awoke and realized how much time had gone passed she was shocked that she was still alive. She still had one code core left, but it was too weak to get her back through Japan and to the Asia Baiter office. Not to mention she was too weak to even think about making the journey now. So she decided to stay for a while and spend her days with Ryu instead while she trained her body back to it's previous strength. Eventually they became intimate and not long after Ryu's body began to fail. The situation was now flipped. Kaylen spent her days taking care of Ryu and not long after he finally died. This was the first time Kaylen had really experienced loss in her life. With Ryu taken away from her she realized just how much she had come to depend on the man. Eventually however something else began to take up much of her time as one morning she woke up nauseous. Soon she realized she it wasn't what she was eating, but that she her body was telling her something. She was having morning sickness. A sense of joy and anger both rolled around inside her. Joy that Ryu had left something with her to remember him, but anger that he was no longer around to help her care for their child. Ryu had, however, told Kaylen of Sanctuary and that if anything should happen to him and she needed help that Kaylen should bring his sword and travel there. Two weeks after Ryu's death Kaylen had packed what she could and began the long journey towards Sanctuary.

The journey to Sanctuary took longer than Kaylen originally had suspected spanning a full three months; in which time her pregnancy continued to progressed along the way making it harder and harder to travel. She was now four months along and clearly feeling the all the side effects that pregnancy brought with it. It was then that she stumbled upon a group of young women being led by an older woman in her mid forties. The small group attacked without warning, but quickly put way their weapons when they realized Kaylen was pregnant. After learning why Kaylen was wondering the area the group of women immediately brought her back to Sanctuary so that their doctors could make sure the child was not in danger before sending word to Rikirin about her grandchild.

Rikirin Tachibana was not a loving woman, and it could be honestly said that she had truly cared for no one in her entire life. The only thing that drove Rikirin now was he hatred for the AI who killed her family. When she learned of Kaylen's child she did not rush to meet the mother of her grandchild. Instead Rikirin ordered the Sanctuary Doctors to keep an eye on Kaylen until the sex of the child could be determined. A month later it was determined that the child would be male. When Rikirn learned this she immediately found a use for this new grandchild of hers. The Dreadwolf Project was a scientific project tasked to Sanctuary's many scientists. BAITR had the market on global security and Baiter's were the only people who could successfully kill an AI. Sanctuary wanted to create a soldier that could at least compare to a Baiter's strength and at the very least repel the AI threat.

The Dreadwolf Project

In the first phase of the trial Project Dreadwolf consisted of fifty pregnant women all whom were going to give birth around the same time. Many of the women were volunteers from Sanctuary, but others were either taken or found pregnant before being brought to Sanctuary. During the pregnancy the Sanctuary scientists began to alter the genetic make up of the child still in the womb. Using the latest methods of science available the children would be born stronger and healthier than normal children as well as be more acceptable to further adaptation. However because of the experimental nature of the proceeds many of the pregnant females either died during child birth due to complications or the child was still born. In the end thirty-nine of the fifty planned children were born. Kaylen's child, whom she named Faelan, was among them. Over the course of ten years, while the child was still growing, Sanctuary would continue to alter, adapt, and experiment on these thirty nine children all in different ways. It was during this time Kaylen finally learned what they where doing to her child and began to set up a plan to secretly escape with Faelan. Rikirin had eventually learned of Kaylen's plan of escape, and the night that Kaylen planned to leave Rikirin cut her throat in front of her son.

Faelan was taken in by his grandmother from that night forth with the image of his mother's death burned into the back of his mind. Faelan was only six, but still he understood what had happened. Rikirin had made sure of it. Other than being forced to live with his grandmother the frequency and harshness of the experiments preformed on him doubled. Many of the experiments that were preformed were created for the female candidates as well eventually leading to unintentional side effects and body changes. However Faelan's only worth to Rikirin was his value as a test subject so until the age of ten they continued to preform experiment after experiment on his body.

As the trials entered into phase three a serum was developed for each child to help bring out the full potential of each experiment and push the limits of their true strength. The serum also contained certain addictive which in the long run would allow Sanctuary to control each child easier. At this point only thirty three of the original thirty-nine children remained. The children were then divided up equally and given the serums for the first time before being thrown into massive fighting pits. There was no way out of the pit. The walls were too tall to climb, and even if they managed to there were women guarding the top with rifles ready to kill anyone who tried. Then they were given a choice, or more like an order, to die or kill every other child in the pit with them. Only one child from each pit was allowed to live and that would be the child who managed to kill all the others and survive until the end. Eventually the fighting broke out and the children began to kill one another. After a full day the trial was finally over and three children were moved into the Phase four of the project. It was then that each of the children's bodies were altered and enhanced both mechanically and biologically centered around the serum they were given. Sanctuary did not stop at the bodies they began testing the mind of each child and created new and different ways to break them down and build them back up into the obedient soldiers Sanctuary needed. The strength each child held at the age of sixteen was no less than that of a true Baiter. Even if they couldn't completely kill the AI these children would be able to at least repel the AI threat for some time. Faelan was one of these three children.

As the Dreadwolf Project came to a close an opportunity arose. The AI finally drew near the boarder of Sanctuary. A lost patrol wandered to close to one of the major cities and had led many AI back towards Sanctuary. This wasn't an uncommon occurrence and usually the few Batiers within The Scarlet Rose forces would be called for and asked to dispatch the AI. However Rikirn wanted a practical test of her three Dreadwolves power, and so she delayed the call for assistance and dispatched two of the three children leaving Faelan, whom was the strongest of the three, back encase something went wrong. In the first few minutes of the fight it was obvious that the Dreadwolves were able to hold their own against the AI without the use of their Serum, but eventually the fighting drew more and more AI into the fight, and even with the use of their serum and some minor stimulants the DreadWolves died. This wasn't the end to the conflict however during the fighting various entrance into the underground bunker that was Sanctuary were destroyed. The AI found these and quickly started slaughtering the many women of Sanctuary. In a last ditch effort to save the people of Sanctuary Rikirin injected Faelan with as much serum as she could along with other various supportive stimulants and drugs to push him to the absolute limits. The combination of stimulants and drugs floating within Fae's body pushed him to greater heights in strength but it also shattered his mind. He turned on Rikirin and killed her first before going on to rampage through the undergound compound attacking both human and AI.

A Legacy Restored

Before Rikirin injected Fae she sent out a final distress signal that alerted BAITR to their headquarters letting them know that many people were dying by AI hands. The Asian office sent a team to investigate and rescue any survivors but it still took almost half a day to arrive at the base. A team of ten normal Baiters were sent lead by a man named Kota. What they found within the massive underground compound was shocking to say the least. Out of the hundreds of AI that had invaded many had fled, but sounds of fighting still raged within the deeper parts of the compound. Many female and child bodies were discovered along the way all killed by various AI weaponry or what seemed to be a man made sword. When they arrived at the scene of the battle they were shocked to see a single woman fighting back against the AI wildly. She was not being pushed back, but neither was she honestly loosing. Her attacks were as wild as many of the AI's she was fighting. Intense bloodlust and strength came from each attack she gave out. What shocked the team of Baiters the most was that as they entered the battle to help the woman began attacking them as well. Anything that moved she struck out at be it human or AI. Eventually the Baiters had no choice but fight back and knock her unconscious so that they could eventually kill the AI. What they feared the most was that with her attacks had managed to actually wound most of the Baiters that had gotten closer to her. The woman, or at least what they thought was a woman, was Faelan. After destroying the AI's and confirming there was no other survivors they took Fae and returned back to base. Faelan was out cold and the various stimulants and large amounts of serum that was injected into him was starting to degrade his body. BAITR doctors had to put Fae into a medically induced coma for a full month while the various drugs were expunged from his system and his body was regulated. When he finllay woke up he was much weaker than before.

Code Core 1

Hilt Injector – During the first phase of the Dreadwolf trials it became clear that the injectors that each of the Dreadwolves were to carry needed to function not just as a tool to carry multiple doses of Beserk, but to also serve as an actual weapon as well since a Dreadwolf was built upon mobility and agility and could not afford to be locked down by weight, and so the first 'Hilt Injector' was created. The Hilt injector works in two different modes, the first being the passive injector mode in which it can administer Beserk in a regular or over dose form up to three times before needing to be refilled, and the second is the battle mode in which the hilt mode is engaged and the ability to connect a premade blade into the hilt is unlocked.
