Al had been pacing the room like a caged animal, worriedly checking his phone every few passings. Nothing. Not one word. Not a glimmer, a glint, a hint that the man he'd looked up to all this time, for all these YEARS remembered him or even cared to remember him. Tracey said forever. Forever.
No.
The room was closing in, it felt smaller and smaller with each rapid breath. He checked his phone again. Nothing.
No.
Noah would be back soon, making this room even smaller. He couldn't let him see him like this anyway. He felt sick as thoughts kept going and going. Was Rep really happier this way? Not remembering? Was he happier as this "Blue Queen"? Is he just being selfish for even being so concerned in the first place? He had to... he just had to go, he had to get out of here. He couldn't. He just couldn't... he checked his phone yet again. No new messages.
"NO!" he snarled as he flung his phone across the room against the nearest wall.
Nobody needed him anyway.
He left and got as far away as he possibly could. He needed space. He needed air.
Thank god the island was mostly jungle.
