With a sigh, the little Geist rolled onto her back on her big heart-shaped pillow that sat atop her bed loft. Looking up at the blank ceiling, she sighed again. It was just another something that was now empty and lonely. Maybe she could draw some pictures or color some coloring book pages to put up there and make it not so lonely. Something about the characters in her coloring books and the ones that came from her mind as she doodled always seemed to make her feel like she wasn't so alone.
Grunting as she sat herself up -- not an easy feat on that pillow, mind you -- then she slid down the stairs of her bed loft on her butt until she reached the bottom. That was something that always brought a smile to her face, so at least she was feeling just a bit happier. Hailey spent the next couple minutes gathering the art supplies she had and hauling them back up to her loft. Pushing her plushies and pillow aside, she set herself up an arting space and began to doodle. She wasn't sure what she was going to draw, but she didn't think or question her hands as they moved and just went with it.
It wasn't until Malachi came home that Hailey pulled herself away from arting. There were so many pictures and paintings and even a comic of the angry bear she colored for art class. Wow. She was pretty pleased with herself. There were quite a few things that were going to line her ceiling very soon! Though she was super happy to see Malachi now, Hailey realized that having time by herself wasn't a bad thing at all. She didn't always have to be with him or someone else to enjoy herself. It was okay. Malachi would always be there for her. Her big sister would always be there for her. Her friends would always be there for her, but now she could also spend time by herself and know it was okay and enjoy it! "Hmmm... maybe I'll make another angry bear comic next time he's not here..." she pondered to herself before grabbing up some of her works and bump-sliding down the stairs to show Malachi what she did while he was away!
