WE ARE HALLOWEEN Sun Hunter SHADOW RUN General Information The Shadow Run is both the simplest and most dangerous training course that can be run without a golem. A flurry of continuous attacks is what the Sun Division holds in highest respect, and the course reflects that. The course itself is a simple tunnel, reached via portal. Within the tunnel await hundreds of weak, hungry shadowlings. Nothing to worry about on their own, but capable of overwhelming a Hunter through sheer numbers at the first moment of weakness. At the other end of the tunnel is another portal, leading back to the course observation booth.
If you fail: your character is KO'd, but there's always a senior hunter in the observation booth with enhanced bandages at the ready. They should reach you in time. Really. Trained and trusty professionals on-hand 24/7.
If you win: peen points and bragging rights to those who take out the greatest number of shadowlings and go the most turns without needing to attempt a recovery maneuver.
Mechanics You must get through 5 waves of attacks to make it through the tunnel. Simply roll for attack as you would in battle. If you miss, your character falters in their attacking and is overwhelmed by shadowlings. After 3 successful hits, you may use your weapon's charge attack.
Bonus Mechanics This bonus is consumable. The bonus in this course is in the form of "recoveries" ~ these are would-be missed attacks that are quickly recovered and turned into a successful hit. Basically, they can miss once and roll again for an extra try. If you keep consecutively missing, though, and run out of recoveries, it's lights out. These do not equal an automatic pass for a round, you still have to land a successful hit to proceed.
Trainees: 0 recovery Sun Trainees: 1 recovery Hunters: 1 recovery Sun Hunters: 2 recoveries

After having two spars and meeting one of the most scariest hunters on the entire damned island, Mercy decided it was time to step her hunter game up. She was so tired of doing nothing but getting into trouble or finding people that wanted to fight her for one reason or the other [ wether she asked for it or not. ], so maybe taking a training course would be the best thing for her. She figured she wouldnt be doing this alone so she waited to see if there would be any other hunters to join her on this nice little journey. Maybe she'll make more friends instead of enemies this time?

Joy was back and was eager to tackle her chores (with the exception of pod duty) and her training. What she was really itching for was a spar but she was so behind in the training courses. She'd only been on one and that's because it was her own division's! She realized in horror that she'd been slacking off and when it was about things that didn't involve paperwork or sitting still for hours at a time, it was practically a sin!
Problem was she wasn't sure which training course to take, she was going to take all of them eventually but the decision sort of paralyzed her. Luckily someone was on the Sun's course and Joy gravitated towards other people if not to be involved then to observe the spectacle. She'd really rather be involved though, which was why she waved, "Yo~" and greeted with a wide, friendly smile.

After his rather embarrassing failure of attempting the Life tower training mission Matt made way back looking for something else to do via training. Something that didn’t involve him moving various wooden blocks in an oversized Jenga game that could restore some of his honor for being an intermediate. Dressed in his typical suit and hunter coat, headed to the entrance, hands in his pocket as he noticed two other people standing outside. Looking around he thought for a moment, shrugged his shoulders and waved to them as he gave a smile. “Hey are either of you trying to do a training course?”

Just as she expected~ People to join her! Seemingly friendly ones as well! Mercy turned to look at both of the hunters, waving. "Sup? And yes I was thinking about trying to do a training course~ Do you guys have any reccomendations?" She really didnt want to choose what could be an easy one and fail because it was too hard and she didnt want to do a course that seemed hard, but was acutally easy. If she failed that last one she'd never hear the end of it from Drae. At least youre correct in what you were assuming Mercedes~ I would promptly laugh my a** off and then critique you till you perfected it.~ she rolled her eyes and sighed. Yeah I know you d**k. Thats why Im asking for suggestions.
"Do you guys ever get used to your weapons talking to you in your head? Its still a weird feeling for me..." Liar.... Shut up they dont know that...Im just trying to start conversation is all...

"I've already done the Moon course so mebbe we can do a different one? Dunno about the others but I'm always game for anything. Worse comes to worse we can just do eenie-meenie," Joy grinned. She had no idea how difficult some of the other courses could be.
At the question about weapons talking, the moon trainee could only laugh, "My weapon doesn't talk to me much so can't really give in my opinion about that. But he does this weird..." her hands twisted circles in the air around her head, "Thing where you get the feeling someone's looking at you all judgey-mcjudgerface. He does that. A lot. Actually he's doing it right now!" Joy laughed.
And yes, the ginosaji's sense of disapproval weighed heavily in the back of her mind. Joy acted like it didn't matter to her. Much.
