Etamin had his back against a wall. Literally - a youma tire monster had him pinned against the wall. Why hadn't he waited for Osiris, or called Kepler and Yumi? He shoved the tire monster away. Grabbing a construction pipe about 5" in diameter, he slammed it against the monster. Pausing as the monster wobbled in confusion, he used his power.



Blinded, the Monster screeched its dismay.

Etamin took up the pipe again and started beating the tire monster again. After about about 5 hits, the monster regained its sight, only to be dusted a moment later.

Etamin took a deep breath as he sat down on a pile of concrete bricks to rest a minute. He finally noticed the cat. It wore an interesting little hat, and seemed to be watching him. Hmm.

"Hello." He spoke the most mature voice he could, thinking and hoping, that this cat was similar to Yumi, who awakened him and sure enough, he had a star on his head. "May I assume that you are a Guardian Cat?"

Etamin had assumed correctly. "I'm Sailor Etamin, of Hieroglyphics." Etamin realized immediately, that Brioche, might be an answer to his other problem. "Sir Cat, I would like to speak more with you, however," looking at the civilians watching them curiously from a good bit back, now creeping forward to see more clearly, "I think it'd be best if we moved to a more private spot."

Etamin nodded. He slipped into a back alleyway, and de-henshined. He traveled home as fast as he could, hoping he would not be too late - and that his parents would not be home. A talking cat would be hard to explain. As he came into the garage, he found that he was in luck - his parents were still at work, and there was a soft mew, the little one was still alive. He turned to look for Broiche. "Oh please hurry Broiche."

Drew (Etamin) turned to see Brioche follow him in, and closed the door behind him. Thankfully the cat did not speak till the door was safely close. He would have smiled at the cat's words, but the situation still too drear to do so. Instead he nodded. He had been out seeking a Order guardian cat, just that morning for this very reason, as he turned to a weak mewing, when he had got caught by the youma.

He pulled away some boxes from a small corner, and pulled out a small tray. He set it gently down in front of Brioche. There was a kitten on it. And he was hurt badly. "I took him from some jerks who were hurting him badly." Drew nearly let a tear fall. "The veterinarian, says there is no hope, that the best thing now is to put him to sleep. For some reason, I can't bear to do that." He whispered. "I can't let him die."

Kitten Formula. That would have been a problem, since Drew did not know much about baby kittens, however fortunately, Drew had gotten some from the vet, when he refused to give up - apparently his dad had seen something in his eye and talked the vet in private - probably something about having lost his twin sister - and would do anything not to lose this little guy. Anywhoo, the vet and his parents had realized that he was going to see this through to the end - even if it ended badly. It was something he had to do. But they were. It wasn't Dria he was thinking about. Somehow, he felt a bond with this kitten. That was all he could say for now. It was a Black Egyptian Mau kitten, or at least the vet declared it to be to the very best of his knowledge - a very rare type. Except under all that hurt... how could anyone tell - Enough daydreaming, Drew! He shook himself mentally. He took two steps and reached the bookshelf, that held old books and tools of his parents- but now a good deal of space had been cleared for the kitten formula, bottles and bandages. He quickly took down a bottle and walked over to the sink and rinsed it out. He walked back over and opened the Kitten formula. Filling the bottle, he asked Brioche, "Does it need to be warmed or anything? The vet didn't exactly give good directions." He noticed for the first time that Brioche had been furious with him; he took a step back. "I swear I did nothing but try to save him." He sighed. "Some humans can be so cruel."

Drew nodded. He watched as Brioche gently maneuvered where it could drink more easily. Slowly, Drew lowered the bottle towards the little one's mouth. He waited for the little guy to open his mouth, and when he did, Drew carefully put the rubber n****e of the bottle in it's tiny mouth. He waited patiently for the little guy to take the formula.
