 Waking in the middle of the night, the beginning of April the 10th, Ruby leaves the safety of Miller, Candie and Plato. Since none of them are up at this time she sneaks off to explore by herself for the first time since she’s eager to find something new to bring home. In her dream filled sleep she saw something rather interesting and decided that it’d be nice if that something was really there. Having gone on a lot of the paths with her Father she decides to choose one that she likes the most since that’s the path she walked in her dream. Whenever she goes with Miller, Candie, or Plato they only ever go a certain amount of the way before they stop to have a picnic, relax, and then go back home. This time she intends to go as far as she can until she finds something amazing. Afterwards she’ll return home because she doesn’t want anyone to know she wasn’t home for any amount of time.

Once she’s outside she quietly makes her way to the path making sure not to bump into anything at all. The slightest noise could startle Miller awake and if he wakes up he’ll look over to check on her. If he does that he’ll quickly find out that she’s not there and send out an alarm of high pitched screaming. Ruby has never heard him scream before, at least not high pitched and because he doesn’t know where she is. Though, he warned her that if he couldn’t see and or find her he would do such a thing. With both Candie and Plato in the same area it would be impossible for them not to hear him. Once all of them are gathered Miller will explain why he screamed which will probably worry those two. The last thing Ruby wants is to upset any of them because they have always been there for her when she needed them. Which means she has to stay low, keep quiet, and make sure she’s back long before the Sun can be seen.

Reaching the start of the path she quickly picks up speed since she knows the path as anyone can know a path. Since there hasn’t been any sort of storm to mess the path up she knows she won’t run into any trouble. Yet, she doesn’t run as fast as she can because things look very different in the dark and she doesn’t want to trip over something that she already knows is there. Having a nice amount of time to get there, find what she’s looking for, and then get back shouldn’t take more than an hour or two. Seeing as she’s not too sure how heavy it might be and or how much longer it will take her with the extra weight. While running on the somewhat wavy path she tries not to think too deeply about just how she will get it back home and instead how the path goes. By the time she reaches the half way mark she slows down a bit to enjoy the other half of the path.

 While walking she listens to all of the creatures that are out and about at night as well as all of the new and interesting smells. By the time she gets to the area she just about forgets why she came all this way. So when she picks up a new scent she walks to the right and over to find a lovely green Box with a pink spot on its corner. Walking around the Box a few times she tries to think of a good way to carry it home. She tires a few ways out before she realizes she can’t carry it home. Instead she takes the knowledge of what her Father taught her and finds a rather large leaf. Ruby moves the Box onto the leaf then uses a vine to tie on either side of the leaf’s steam to make a loop which she lifts to her shoulders. Then she makes her way back home since she doesn’t like being out and about by herself which is why she had to come to get the Box. Maybe the little one inside of it doesn’t like being alone at night either.

Once she gets into the tree with the Box she wonders just where she might hide something this large since her Father is bond to notice a Box laying around. Making her way around her Father she goes to the middle of their home. Once there she carefully moves the vine behind her then she moves the think leaves which are used as a floor. She quietly digs a hole to hide the box in for the time being since the little one will come out sooner or later. When she finishes with the hole she collects some extra leaves from the back and uses those to cover the inside of the hole. Once the Box is safely tucked away she leaves the tree once more to clean her claws up a bit because her Father will question her if he finds anything strange on her. Returning to the tree she walks to the back and gathers even more leaves which she tosses all over the Box and then she curls up right next to it and falls asleep once again.

From the tenth of April to the eighteenth she makes sure that no one at all goes near that area. She doesn’t explain in great detail why that is, though, she says that she will explain in due time. Until then they make sure not to walk too close to that area for fear of upsetting Ruby to just about no end. She didn’t intend for it to be some sort of secret since they would find out sooner or later. Though, for some reason she feels rather protective of this particular Box and refuses to let herself tell anyone trusted or otherwise. Of course whenever she gets the chance she talks to her new Friend as much as possible wishing them to feel welcome and at home around Ruby. Not all that long ago she was still in her Box and knows how much one can or can’t hear or learn while in there. Miller had taught her so many things that she wanted to do the same with this younger one.

 Like before she wakes in the middle of the night, the beginning of April the 18th to a slight movement. Quietly moving the leaves over the Box she smiles while she reaches out to help open the Box. Once opened she finds that this female seems to have something on her head which causes her to become rather curious about what it is. Though, before she does anything she helps her out then puts her right paw up to her mouth to advise her to stay quiet for the time being. Then motions for her to follow her outside which she obediently does. When they get a somewhat good distance away from the tree she slows to a stop. Ruby turns around smiling and her smile brightens at the Peach on her new Friends head. Then she introduces herself, “I’m Lady Ruby Amethyst Heart, my title is Lady, first name is Ruby, middle name is Amethyst, and my last name is Heart. Of course you can just call me Ruby or Little Ruby like Miller, Candie, and Plato do.” Blushing a bit, “I hope that’s not too much for you to take in after you just came out of your Box. Then again, whenever I got the chance to I would talk for as long as I could to you until Miller, Candie, and or Plato came to check up on me.” Then she sits down and motions for her new Friend to do the same.

Sitting down she smiles back then says, “I don’t mind if you talk a bit much since you are the one that helped me as well as brought me someplace safe. It’s also nice to know your name since you told me everyone else’s name except your own. Of course I’m fine with just calling you Ruby since I’m young like you are.” Then she asks, “How did you get your name? Did your Father, Miller, choose it for you or did you choose it yourself? Do you often go wandering around in the middle of the night searching for random Boxes? If not, then how did you ever find me?” Then pointing to her head she asks, “Do you know what this is? I had it the entire time that I was in that Box. It’s rather delightful to have something familiar to me now that I’m out of that Box.”

Smiling more she replies, “Thank you, I’m glad you don’t mind my talking a bit much since I have yet to meet another my age I have a lot to talk about. Since Miller is so protective of me that sometimes he can be a bit too protective or somewhat overprotective. Which means that I haven’t been able to get away during the day to meet others my age. So when I woke after having this dream about you I decided to sneak out and look for you. I don’t like being all by myself during the night, when it’s dark, and or during storms. So I thought you might not like being by yourself at night and took you home.” Her smile fades a bit as she remembers just what happened that day that she came out of her Box. “I had that title, first, middle, and last name in mind so I named myself so if you have any sort of name in mind you can name yourself as well. If not, I wouldn’t mind trying to help you with a name. As for the wandering around in the middle of the night searching for random Boxes so far it’s only happened once.” Nodding her head a bit she says, “Of course I know what’s on your head since it’s a Peach and it’s good to know that something is familiar to you from your Box. Though, it can’t be a normal Peach since no one else that I know of has food of any kind on their head.”

Nodding her head a bit she then quietly sits there a while before something come to mind, “What about the first name Adenium since that’s one of the flowers in the flower field? Then Peach as my middle name because of the Peach sitting on my head which you think is so very unnatural which means it must be special somehow? While my last names will be Sabi Star for some reason, I think I heard someone talk about it. Something about a Desert-Rose? I’m not sure, though, what do you think of it? Since it’d be nice to get your opinion on my whole name seeing as you are my Friend, aren’t you? It took a lot of courage to come looking for me just because of a dream you had which means you had no clue if I was really there or not. Since you told me you don’t like being by yourself at night it must have been rather frightening for you. Though, I guess now that I am here you won’t have to worry about being alone in the dark in case something like that happens again. Of course, I do feel like I should warn you that we shall have plenty of adventures together so you shall meet others our age and soon." She smiles happily since she knows Ruby would never let anyone go on adventures by themselves.

“Oh yes, that’s one of the many flowers that is in that flower field that we tend to. So you whole name being Adenium Peach Sabi Star seems perfect for you because for a few different reasons. One is that your first and last names are flower names while your middle name is Peach to go along with the Peach on your head. Of course we are Friends and not just because I took the time to go look for you just because of a dream. I would hope that I would have done that for anyone even if they didn’t want to be Friends with me. So even if something is frightening to do as long as there is something worth finding I will face those fears for as long as I have to. Which means that if you want to drag me on adventures with you then I’ll go, only to make sure you stay safe. Of course the idea of meeting others my age does sound rather exciting. While at the same time I would worry that Miller would worry too much about me.” Pondering the idea a bit she excitedly nods her head in agreement before replying, “I’ll go on adventures with you because I know that Miller can keep himself busy while we are away. Knowing you are going to be with me it should put his mind at ease. At least up until he realizes we are going on adventures together and not just a walk.”

After yawning Adenium stretches a bit before motioning to the tree since it’s night and she’d rather talk some more tomorrow. Since Ruby yawns and stretches a bit Adenium knows that Ruby has no objection to getting some more sleep. Getting up they make their way back and then quietly sneak in. With the hole in the middle of the tree she takes the leaves and makes her own little nest to sleep in. Of course Ruby gets her own bedding and tosses it down to her causing her to quietly giggle. After rearranging the bedding she smiles up at Ruby and mouths the words, ‘Thank you, though what will you sleep on?’ Ruby just smiles and shakes her head before she curls up in her normal spot to sleep since she had become used to that spot with or without her soft bedding. Before long they had fallen into deep, dream filled, sleep to worry about what the others will think about Adenium’s mysterious appearance in their home.
