Had they not been right in the middle of living through the zombie apocalypse, today would have been a beautiful day. It still kind of was if you could force yourself to ignore the neverending parade of undying, the pervasive thorns, and the crush of restless people inside the prison. Things were quiet and the sun was shining, but Max still itched to get outside. He would have never guessed a month ago that he would be grateful to go on a supply run, if only to get away from the monotony. He supposed the company helped.

"How would you like to play a little game?" he asked, lifting a large sheet of metal off of the ground and peeking beneath it. It had once been the cover for the bed of a pickup truck. Now it was home to a family of rats.

"A game? That sounds....ominous. Then again I may have seen one too many Saw movies back in the day," she chuckled, jumping back slightly as the rats scurried around in a panic. They'd been trying to survive the apocalypse and yet rats could still surprise her. Oh joy. Though she guessed she should probably appreciate that little things like that still did freak her out. It was better to have that than to be completely numb to everything. She was afraid that would end up happening at some point or another, especially with no word of rescue or not.

"Sure, I'd love to play a game," Diana responded, trying to pull herself away from the darker thoughts forming in her head.

Oh, right. That creepy doll on a bike and his killer games. Max laughed to himself, kicking at a pile of mostly clean rags. While he had technically seen the first... three or so movies from that series in the theater, he hadn't really been watching them if you know what I mean

"Okay. I call this... The Question Game. Like Truth or Dare without the dare. Truth or Truth." He crouched, picking up a pair of cans from underneath the rags. "You can start if you'd like. Ask me anything you want." Maybe if she posed some horribly personal question he wouldn't feel so bad asking what she had been arrested for.

"Truth or truth, huh? Sounds fun." Getting to ask him invasive questions in the guise of a game. It was the best of times, and she was sure he had plenty of questions to ask her as well. She just had to figure out what exactly she wanted to ask him. There were plenty of things really, she just had to pinpoint one specific one and go with it. Besides, she could probably ask all of them if they stayed out their digging through things long enough. Just what to ask him....well there was always the family question. He was different from most of the others that were stuck in the prison. He wasn't staying there unwillingly like a lot of them were. He had been a normal law abiding citizen just doing his job before all of this had started. Most of the people in the prison didn't have family, or their family was in the jail with them. She was curious if he had any of his own being the normal type of guy.

"So, have any family on the outside? Any little Maxlets running around?" Diana questioned, hoping she wasn't being too intrusive. Maybe he wouldn't want to talk about it. That was fine too, especially if it was a hard subject.

It surprised him a little that she jumped straight to asking about kids. Max wondered if there was some invisible brand that would forever mark him as a father no matter how far away his children got or how little he thought of them in mixed company.

"My parents live a couple of towns over in the suburbs and I'm an only child, so no siblings. But yes, I do have two... Maxlets." He smiled. "Cody and Dana. Their mother takes care of them most of the time." He paused in his search, trapped by his memories, but it wasn't long before he was back to moving metal. "So. What's your favorite color?" Max chuckled. Even after she'd asked something personal, he still couldn't bring himself to.
