Name: Peter O'Connor Gender: Male Age: 26 Physical Description: Peter stands at six feet (and one inch, he swears!) and has a pixie sort of look to him. His features are all quite sharp and angular, making his face appear much younger than he actually is. His brown eyes are warm and rich and his smile is quite infectious. He keeps his brown hair cropped short so he doesn't have to fuss with it too much, although he's quite fond of letting it dry in a rather wild and spiky way. His build is slim without much muscle, hinting at his rather pampered lifestyle.
His dress is nice but casual since he has enough money to spend on fine clothes. He likes to look fresh at all times but layers aren't his favorite thing. He'd prefer a well-tailored shirt and tight pants to some of the things the wealthier folks wear.
Personality: Peter is bubbly and outgoing, always cheerful and happy. He loves meeting new people and making friends and as a socialite and gossip connoisseur, it's a good thing he's got the charisma needed to get along with just about anyone. Despite his love of talking he's quite deep, enjoying intellectual pursuits and politics as much as the latest dirt on So-and-So down the road with the glass gnome in their garden. Since he grew up without needing to work he's a bit ignorant to the ways of the lower class, but now that he's out on his own he's very eager to learn all about the people he wasn't allowed to interact with while growing up. He tries very hard not to be insulting but sometimes he doesn't realize he's said something offensive.
His preferred magic is water.
History: Peter was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. His family was very well off - certainly not as well off as the highest of society but enough so they had help in the house - and as a result he was given a very easy life. Anything he wanted he got, and once he was of an age where schooling became an option, his father hired the best tutors to teach him the ways of education. He devoured everything he could and reading quickly became his obsession.
As he grew he began to thirst for learning more. Books could only teach you so much, after all. The older he got the more he wanted to leave the grounds and explore the city, the towns, the villages, and it wasn't until he finally turned eighteen that he was allowed to roam. It opened his eyes to what he had been missing out on and he was determined to meet new people and learn as much as he could from them.

Hound's Name: Dachael Gender: Male Personality: Dachael is a slightly standoffish hound, preferring the company of his summoner and not much else. He is quiet and calculating, very much a look before you leap kind of creature. While most find him a bit unnerving with the way he stares without blinking for so long, there are time when his fun side that Peter brings out shines through and the grin on his face is more than just the skeletal markings on his maw. He's slow to warm up to new people but once Peter trusts them, he'll do his best to trust them as well. Dachael's preferred magic is earth.

The Summoning: Peter opened his eyes, a little smile on his face as seemed to be the norm with him. Oh, this was so exciting! He had been more than happy to follow the tolling of the bells, unsure where the adventure would lead him, but so far it hadn't steered him wrong. He had blacked out for a bit but now he stood before a glowing portal with something on the other side that seemed to be a little nervous to come through.
"It's all right," he called out happily. "It's quite nice over here. I'm Peter," he supplied helpfully. The name seemed to make the portal pulse as if whatever was on the other side recognized his name.
I am called Dachael the portal said back. Peter was obviously very excited to finally have it speak to him.
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Dachael. Would you like to come out?"
There was no reply. Peter bit his lip slightly and sat down on the ground, hoping he might seem more friendly this way. "I'll be very nice," he added when there seemed to be a bit of hesitation coming from whatever it was to speak.
I need your undying devotion and attention the portal responded, which was a bit of a shock for Peter. If I need something, you must promise to see to it that it is met. I won't make outlandish requests of course.
"Uh...okay?" Peter said, always one to trust blindly. He hesitated for a moment before pressing on. "Then...I'd like for you to do the same. I won't make any outlandish requests but if I need something, can you do it for me?"
Yes
As the answer came the portal began to glow, and Peter soon found in his lap a tiny puppy. Oh. My. God.
"Awwwww you're so cute!" he cooed, rubbing the little hound behind his ears. At first there was fear on the skeletal face, but soon Dachael was leaning into the touch, his tiny tail wagging.
