After they'd excused themselves from the art hall, Neptune found himself slowing down, hardly able to maintain a good pace. It was as if all of the events from the day came crashing down hard on his limbs, oh his legs felt so shaky, so uneven. He worried briefly that he'd fall down, but it seemed that even though he felt shaky he was still managing to walk just fine. After a little while of following Melisara, hand still holding onto hers, he spotted a bench. Oh, good, finally a place he could sit down...
He lightly tugged on her hand, wordless in his attempt to get her to follow him to it. He'd let go if he needed to, the bench was calling to him. He needed a moment to try and piece himself back together again- to wrap mental bandages around the wounds that had been reopened and assess the new ones. This was a hard day... A very hard day...
Once finally at the bench, he collapsed onto it with a small sigh, ears drooping as a sign of just how tired he was... "I'm s-s-sorry, I need to... I need to sit... for a little while..."

 Sara's mind was a tumble of emotions, flitting between the excitement and the crow of victory and the horror of invasion and confusion. It was slowly dawning on Sara how close they had come, how close they had come to losing friends and classmates. How close people had come to losing families... She shivered and held on tighter to Neptune's hand. Today, a group of strangers had walked into the school and announced their intention to kidnap the students. Holy Oreia...the more she thought about it... Ugh. No. This wasn't like her. Sara was not the girl who got worried and sought comfort. She was the girl who was comfort! Who stood up and supported other people, both the ones she cared about and the ones she didn't feel strongly about! That's who she was, and who she'd always been, even if today...even if today she'd been too excited by new cultures to remember the discomfort of others.
Okay, that was a bad way to think about things. A very bad way. She was starting to feel anxious, and she didn't like that feeling. "Sittin' down sounds good rahght now," she murmured. She glanced over at Neptune and saw how tired he looked. It had been an exhausting day. The sun was low in the sky, but not yet setting--how long had this all lasted? When had it started? Was it over yet? Was it safe to go to sleep, or would everything be gone tomorrow? "It's okay. Ah lahk sittin' down."
Sara swallowed and tried to think of something to say. She went through several possibilities, rejecting each one in turn. Finally, she settled for: "Are you okay? Is there anythin' Ah can do t' help?" It was a start, right?

Some part of him that was still aware of the world was happy that she'd followed, but the instant he'd finished speaking, his brain had just... shut off. Oh he was so tired... He could fall asleep right there, and probably would have if it were safe. But no, it wasn't safe... He didn't really feel safe at all anymore... Well, Miss Ava helped ease some of that feeling of being unsafe, but for the most part... Strange people had come into the Academy with fake papers and caused a huge ruckus..
A Grimm Shaman had said they wanted to bring all of the Grimm back to their home - except for the disabled ones. Except for him. Involuntarily, he wrapped his arms around himself, tail curling in as the true disappointment of that knowledge settled in... He wasn't wanted even among his own people...
It took a moment, but he eventually realized Melisara had been talking.. What did she say?
'Is there anythin' Ah can do t' help?'
Was there..? Was there anything anyone could do? Maybe fix his eye... and his ear, that might help. Make the memories go away... He shook his head a little, fighting back the tears that were beginning to form in his eyes. "N--no....... I'm s-sorry... ...Thank you f--for offering..."
