AstoriaFallen Such a pathetic start sorry. Narakray trotted tamely down a forested path. He didn't have much on his mind as the branches over head cast deep shadows on the path less traveled. A practiced shrug settled the black cloth about his shoulders. He could have easily flown, but something about the slightly creepy path appealed to him. The fluffy tip of his tail waved and arched behind him.
The bright red male arched his neck and avoided stepping on his braided mane with practice ease. He was debating between heading toward the meadow or the small pond in the middle of the forest. If he went to the meadow he could get a bit of flying in, or if he headed toward the pond a drink and maybe a nap awaited him.

She was excited that fall was almost over because winter would soon be upon them and she absolutely loved the snow! Even though it was rather cold at times. It was fun to prance around in. At least she thought so.
However, snow had not fallen just yet and it was still Autumn so she had some time to wait still. For now she was just walking along. She was curious to know what Astraea was up too, not only that but where her companion Aura was. She hadn't seen the wolf in a while and hoped that she was doing alright. She was sure she'd show up sometime soon.
As she moved along she caught the sight of a red figure against the wooded landscape. She cocked her head slightly as she moved forward more to get a better look and realized it was a stallion. Perhaps she'd have someone to talk to at least! "Hello there!" She called out warmly as she approached slowly.

Narakray was derailed from his choice by the arrival of a pretty little butterfly winged mare. He wanted to give a small catcall, but she called out to greet him. Deciding discretion was the better part of valor he turned to greet her properly. "Greetings! What brings a pretty little mare like you into woods like these?" He grinned at the joke. These woods weren't dangerous at all if you knew the few areas to be conscious of. He was comfortable in these woods.
"Is there anything I can help you with?" He asked curiously. Was she passing though? Searching for something or someone? She could prove to give him a delightful day doing something than just puffing around aimlessly. He was all down for a day spent with a pretty mare.

Her wings fluttered for a moment before holding still against her sides and she watched him with teal eyes as he looked and caught sight of her as she had greeted him. She smiled as he returned the greeting and blushed slightly when he called her pretty. "I was just walking along, enjoying the change in scenery." She watched him for a moment and listened as he asked if she needed help with anything. She gave a small giggle and shook her head. "Oh no, I don't believe I need any help at the moment..." She paused as she decided to walk a little closer to him and join him rather than keep distance. "Though, I wouldn't mind company on my walk." She said as she came up beside him, her teal bright in contrast against his red pelt.

Narakray found himself amused at the way her wings fluttered oh-so delicately. He restrained the urge to flex his great feathered wings. The stallion nodded as she was only out for a walk to enjoy the view. Well that meant she wouldn't be in a hurry to leave! For a moment he was disappointed when she declined his help. He was only doing what a proper stallion shoulder when greeted with a pretty mare. His mama had taught him well.
"Then I shall be happy to provide you company on your walk!" He gave a big grin as he brought his head back up. "I know of a particularly nice field or steam nearby. Which would you prefer? Or maybe leave it up to chance?" Narakray moved over a bit so they could walk side by side as she joined him on the path. "If you don't mind my asking, little lady, where are you from?" He was curious to start a conversation and learn a little bit about her and the wider world.

She gave him a warm smile as he offered to give her company on her walk. "Oh would you?! I would very much like that." She said, her wings fluttering in response to her happiness. It was just something that they did, no help from her necessary. She listened as he spoke of a couple places and then mentioned leaving it up to chance. "I find I like to leave things up to chance." She was now walking along side him at this point.
She gazed over at him briefly for a moment and thought. "Oh, I'm from a human village that isn't too far away from here." She called it home, but it really wasn't her HOME. She hadn't quite found a place to call her own, or a herd to join just yet. Perhaps one day. "What about you? Where are you from?" She questioned him in return.

AstoriaFallen Thanks! Trying for a winter/snow theme. Narakray bowed his head elegantly. "I'd be honored to accompany you." Her delicate wings fascinated him. He reluctantly pulled his attention away from her fluttering wings. "A wise choice! I always like a good surprise, but since I know the area it's kinda hard to do. Unless I close my eyes, then I'm liable to run into a tree." He laughed so she could join in.
"Oh, I didn't know there was a human village near here. I'm from the area too." How could he have missed a village? Just like him. Maybe he should spend more time in the air? But then he wouldn't have met her. On the whole, he'd rather be on the ground than in the air. Staying up was such hard work!

Amadahy was pleased that the red stallion would accompany her as she walked along the path she had been following. Her wings fluttered again and she smiled at him as he spoke and laughed gently as he joked about running into a tree should he close his eyes. "We mustn't allow that to happen then shall we." She said warmly as she glanced over at him as they started to walk. So he was familiar with the area, that was good, at least for her. Not so much for him as he already knew everything about the area it seemed. Minus the village, though it might not be as close as she thought.
"I THINK it's near here. I've been walking along for a little while now." She said glancing over at him with a warm tone. She then realized that neither of them had introduced herself and her wings fluttered wildly at the thought of her being so careless as to forget to tell him her name. "I do believe that I have forgotten to tell you my name. I'm Amadahy." Her wings fluttered a few more times and settled again.
If he was familiar with the area perhaps there were some places that he could show her? "Since you seem to be a little more familiar with the area than myself, would you care to take me to some of your favorite spots perhaps?" She asked him curiously hoping that he might oblige to do so.

"Traveling with you, I believe I shall not have to fear that danger." Why had he never thought to travel with another before? It seemed many new ideas were coming to light in a very short amount of time. When he got the chance he'd ponder more on what new ideas had occurred to him. Until then he would enjoy the company of the mare. He trotted next to her, playfully trying to pose in each beam of sunlight that trickled down from the canopy.
"I'd feel mighty silly saying I know the area without knowing of a village so close by! Thank you for telling me so that I may go educate myself on it's location at a later time." Some expert guide he turned out to be! What else might he have missed. Narakray shook his head. "I'm happy to have met you Amadahy. Seems I've been remiss in naming myself too! Narakray at your service!" He stretched a foreleg out and gave her a bow.
He perked up as she asked to be shown his favorite spots. "Why lady I'd be delighted! I shall hope they will become your favorite spots too!" The stallion grinned brightly and trotted forward.

She very much liked this stallion and his way with words. He was pretty friendly and she liked that about him. Though she liked that about anyone nice she met while she was on her travels. She was a kind spirit and had a big heart, though she was also a flirt at times and she enjoyed watching the way stallions would trip over themselves sometimes if she got them going. She was pleased that he agreed to travel with her and she smiled at him. "I would hope that you wouldn't have anything to fear by choosing to travel with me. I doubt I could hurt a fly." She said with a small giggle. Though there was a huge chance she could easily break his heart, but that was the only danger the stallion feared by choosing to walk with her. As they moved along she noticed how he would pose in each beam of sunlight and her wings fluttered behind her as laughter spilled form her lips with each new stance.
She cocked her head slightly when he said he hadn't been aware of a village being nearby. At least he was learning something new! She had helped contribute to his knowledge just a little bit and that gave her a sense of satisfaction. She smiled at his introduction of himself and she gave a small bow of her head in return. "It's a pleasure to meet you Narakray." She said as she tucked his name in her memory in case she needed it for later or ran into him again. She never really knew how long she'd stay in one spot or if she'd ever meet the same equine again in her travels.
She was quite pleased that her question for him to show her his favorite locations was something he very much wanted to do. She gave him a small nod of her head and smiled. "I'm pleased to hear that you'd very much enjoy to show me your spots. I'm sure that I will like them very much!" She said wondering what some of them looked like or had to offer those traveling through. Fluttering her wings she turned her attention to him again. "Do any of them have flowers? I very much love flowers." She said happily as her wings fluttered a bit more behind her at the thought of the their wonderful scents and colors. There were so many different kinds that she really didn't think she had a favorite. She loved them all. "Do you like flowers Narakray?" She asked as she stated his name again. She liked it, it was different and she enjoyed how it sounded as it rolled across her lips.

His head bobbed as he kept up his trot. "But of course! One could tell just by looking at you, just how sweet you are." He knew not all were as they appeared, but he felt this wasn't one of them. Narakray was thinking hard about what he remembered in this direction. Something that would impress her. Ugh why did he have to draw a blank right now? The faint scent of water caught his attention. Ah the pool! Perfect!
"There's a pool up ahead Amadahy." His nose wrinkled in thought as she mentioned she liked flower. Flowers? "Well I know there's a lot of butterflies that like to dance across this particular pool. So I guess there must be flowers nearby for them?" He glanced at her wings. How cute! It couldn't be more perfect showing her a pool with butterflies.
"Of course if there's none here I know a field that usually is covered in flowers!" Narakray wouldn't fail to deliver on something that had been requested. She loved flowers, and he was going to give her flowers. At a familiar hanging cover of moss he finally stopped. With a grin he blocked her from pushing through the curtain of moss for a moment. "Ready?" He pulled back the moss to reveal a dark green glade. In it's center a small pool of water. Some flowers skirting the edges as butterflies of many hues danced over the still water.

His flattery made her wings flutter behind her as he used such nice words to speak to her and she was very much enjoying his company. She was quite enjoying having decided to take this particular path in the woods today for it had brought her to this very nice stallion. At the mention of a pool behind ahead her ears perked forward and the mention of butterflies made her smile and her wings flutter happily. "Oh that sounds absolutely lovely." She said to him as she followed his lead.
At his words to show her flowers if the pool had none she gave him a warm smile and couldn't believe her luck in having met him. "That is very nice of you to consider." She said looking up at him and then realized they had come to a stop. Her wings fluttered in anticipation as she stared at the moss blocking their view of what laid ahead. "I am." She almost whispered as she waited for him to reveal the pond to her.
At the sight of the glade she inhaled and her wings beat behind her happily. "Oh! It's absolutely lovely!!" She said taking in the sight before her.

AstoriaFallen ah ok. Thanks for the reminders. cat_sweatdrop He knew he had struck a winner with her reaction to the mention of butterflies. Clearly he should have expected she'd like butterflies. He glanced at her wings fluttering. They had a nice glimmer when she fluttered thus so. Narakray thought they looked very fragile. He'd have been afraid to move them if they'd been his wings for fear of them breaking. The stallion ruffled his own strong feathered wings. As much as he liked hers, he wouldn't trade his in for anything.
"I'm glad you agree!" He gave her a sweet grin. "Anything to accommodate a lady." With nothing planned for the day for himself, it was easy to talk himself into bending to her whims. Narakray wondered what if he had had something planned. Would he still have accompanied her or gone about his own business? He hoped he would have chosen the former.
The reveal was everything he had hoped. Thankfully the glade came through once again. Holding the moss back with his shoulder he nodded for her to enter first. "Be my guest?"

Her wings fluttered excitedly as she gazed around once more before looking towards him. "Thank you so much for bringing me here." She said stepping into the glade as he invited her to do so. She could smell the scents of so many flowers and she fluttered her wings happily. "Would you mind telling me a little about yourself?" She asked as she dipped her head to smell some of the flowers that tickled her legs.

"It was completely my pleasure. It's nice to share something I like with another who will enjoy it." He wondered what she'd do after she tired of this and left. Narakray paced in slowly after her. He mosied around the edge of the pool and stooped to take a drink. The stallion looked up when she inquired for more information about himself. "Uh well. I'm not sure what you want to know." He found it much more awkward trying to talk about himself. If he could have blushed he would have.
