 "Today we're going to be interviewing....Well, we don't know who he is! What we're completely sure of, however, is that he is going to have some very interesting things to say on the topic of being a mernoodle in a society of land-locked foxes! Prepare your questions, everyone, it's time to start!"Synopsis: You are the noodle above I, the interviewer, will be asking you 2-3 questions about life as a mernoodle. Your response is made up on the spot - like a prompt, and you won't know the question until I ask it. Your response can range anywhere on the serious-to-silly scale! It doesn't have to be prefect, and there are no 'right' answers. You also don't have to keep to your responses if you win him (like, if you say he can only breathe water, you can have him be able to breathe oxygen when you win him) The responses don't have to be super-long, but make sure to fully answer the question. !! Just wanted to let everyone know that I am pushing this back until tomorrow (Nov 4) at the same time.
I just have a lot of studying to do for an exam tomorrow, and homework on top of that.

Answer #1: Meridith grinned at the first question. He had been expecting something like this. "My shapeshifting abilities are similar to that of a werewolf, yes. I have this form which I keep when I'm in water, and a landlord with legs. I am by no means confined to the sea and rather enjoy exploring on land." What he didn't elaborate on was the fact that his explorations on land were often cut short by his body's need to return to water, or the scales that still covered his hind legs when he had them.
Answer #2: He thought about the answer to that question for a moment before answering. "A number among my kind are especially gifted vocally, yes, but there's no magic to it." That was a lie. Well, a kind of lie. The myth of Sirens had come about from mischievous mernoodles who enticed sailors to the sea, and often their deaths, by their song and form. There wasn't magic specifically in the voice of a mernoodle, but inherent in their very beings. It had been a very long time since the last he'd heard of a sailor being lured to his (or her) death. He smiled at the interviewer charmingly and nodded. "I consider myself to be among the vocally gifted." His talents as a singer had earned hum quite the reputation. Mostly among the ladies.

Menathari tilted his head, tail lazily swaying down into surf swirling around the rock he sat upon. The sunset painted the world in a fragile amber light, his blue-green scales glittering in the honeyed light and sending an angry mosaic of reflections dancing on the other rocks around the shoreline. "I'm not sure what you mean by 'normally' in this context." he said slowly, voice vaguely musical in tone, before shrugging and continuing, "Breathing is breathing in my opinion. I just don't have to worry about my head being above or below water."
He chuckled suddenly at the second half of the question, eyes closing in mirth with his tail smacking loudly against the rock. "Magic or adaptability, huh? I suppose I am a mixture of both, in that case." He waved nonchalantly, smiling a tad. "Why do birds have wings if not to fly? Or a jungle cat its claws and fangs? We are all given gifts from the moment we are born that are meant to help us survive. It just so happens for my people that bit of evolution comes in the form of respiratory tract similar to a lungfish - with 'magic' allowing us to speak while breathing in this way." Menathari's grin widened, revealing sharp, glistening rows of teeth to the sun's dying rays. "That could explain why ships tend to crash when we sing above the surf."

Menathari's brows rose, letting out a small surprised noise of wonder at this question. "Do I feel- You can't be serious!" he sputtered, mouth turning down into a frown as his brows furrowed with a miserable sort of crinkle between them, "I mean, sure. I can't lie and say that some of my people don't genuinely feel that way. But, personally, I don't really think any one person - land-locked, amphibious, sea-dwelling, or otherwise inclined - is better than than anyone else." He sighed, shaking his head, "True, there's some resentment I feel towards land-locked noodles - but that is mostly on a one-on-one basis." Menathari paused to grumble under his breath (something about stupid sailors and over-fishing and pollution), his tail smacking harshly against his rock. He sighed, shaking his head before continuing, "So, I guess my answer is 'no' to both? There are some things I can do that land-locked noodles can't, and inversely there's things I lack the ability to accomplish." Chuckling nervously, he reached up to pat at his hair, "Sorry if that's not the answer you were looking forward to. Is the interview over now? I do have things to do around this time of day."

Answer #1: Gavin giggled and shook his head. "Can't a guy keep some of his secrets? Well darling that's a secret but I'll let you in on it. It's a lengthy process once a week and then the rest of the maintanace is very simple. Once a month I take some of my secret ingredients and mix them together. It needs to be done on a full moon of course." He winked at that and chuckled. "I use the purest things and then add in some magic to get the texture just right. The color is all me. But well this silky texture takes work. Want to feel?" He leaned forward to let the reporter feel if they wanted to. "It took me a while to get my regime right so it would be silky but not so fine that it would be damaged by all the salt or be unable to hold pretty baubles in it. After the soaks once a month I use kelp and silica to wash it once a week in order to keep it healthy. And everyday I bursh it out then let the wind have its way with my hair before fixing it into the style I want. I like trying it up a lot of the time so I can explore without worrying about it getting caught or in the way. I also don't want it to be ripped out so I tie it back. I like to take care of my hair. It makes me happy and gives me something to focus on. And well who doesn't want to have luscious locks all the time? I know I want it so I get it. I get what I want." He winked again and smirked tilting his head. "What's your secret?"
Answer #2: He smiled sweetly and with a slight mysterious edge to it. "Why sweetie you just want to learn all my secrets today it seems. Yes I can form legs. It would be so undignified to scoot around as you say. I'd never be able to show my face on land if all I could do was scoot or flop around. I've got much more dignity than all that. I have very nice legs up on land that I use to get around on. They take me a bit of time to get used to and are no where near as stunning as my tail or as much fun to get around on. They also aren't as colorful or able to get me around as fast. My tail when it dries will turn into legs if I want it to. If I don't then I just enjoy the feel of the sun on my scales and relax. I love sunbathing. The light and warmth feels so different on my legs verses my scales. My legs feel it more intensely since they have no shiny protection like my tail does but I can run around on legs and it gives me more clothing options on land which is very nice." He smiled and ducked his head slightly. "Have I answered your questions to your satisfaction yet? I hope I have and haven't voted you."
