Ava had settled into her dorm; moving in the few posessions she had with ease (mostly, it was clothing and a few pens she'd had on her when she arrived. Most had been left behind, to her dismay and she would have to work on restoring her collecting. She was pleased to discover that record keeping isn't an odd thing and though she may record more than necessary it meant she had notebooks and such at her disposal. She slept the first night away - which was hilarious since she'd just spent however long asleep as a popsicle. But it was a lot to take in and she was more mentally exhausted than she was physically.
Now, refreshed and seemingly coming to terms with everything - at least she was 90% sure she wasn't dreaming now - she decided to explore and get her bearings of the base. Unfortunately, she had no idea where anything was and so she was wandering aimlessly and appeared to be lost. Perfect.

It might be Ava's unlucky day, she couldn't tell. One minutes before she would be bumped into, there was a petite figure hurried along the usually quiet corridor. "It's your fault, Z. You didn't wake me up!" The unsatisfied voice was from a young looking female, from her appearance, one could easily figure out she was an Asian. < I already told you, but you ignored me.> A grey one piece with a pink sweater underneath together with a pair of rabbit print two-tone tights, the petite Asian with dark hair headed down the corridor in haste. She had a great time last night at Rep's bar, the alcohols intake didn't give her a serious hangover but she had difficulty waking up. "I doooooon't care, we're gonna miss it!" It was the day she'd marked on her calendar which a great cake making hunter would be on duty. In the insipid cafeteria menu with risk of life hunters sneakily making those who eat their test subjects, he was the oasis. Sweet lovers, if not buying their cakes outside would rush to have a precious tasty dessert. Shu, as a heavy sugar addicted person, of course paid attention to the days he would be on kitchen duty. After all, she was from Death division. Thirty seconds before they collided, Shu and her partner were still arguing. While running, she tidied up her clothes and brushed her hair, looked into the small mirror to make sure she look good. In her mind, however, she had already flown to the confectioneries and prayed to be able to arrive in time for one or two cakes. Five seconds before they met for the first time, she was about to drift the corner to save her time. At zero second, they bumped into each other. "Ahhh it hurts," groaned the Asian fell onto the floor, landed with her fragile butt.

Ava went tumbling herself; all legs and arms and not a lot of balance in her lost state. She landed awkwardly on her side and let out a groan. Her glasses went flying and she fumbled around for a couple seconds before she finally found them. Luckily they hadn't broken she wasn't even sure where she'd be able to find a new pair as cute as these. She stood and slipped them back on, straightening her coat and readjusting her top so that it wasn't rolled up halfway.
"Why don't you watch where you're ******** going?" She turned and stared at the other and blinked. "Oh."
It was a girl and Ava calmed down a little; a soft blush creeping across her cheeks. She was really adorable - innocent looking and Ava felt suddenly self-conscious of her language and her temper. Not to mention her stockings were adorable. Ahhh. She pursed her lips together and folded her arms across her chest. Maybe she could be a little nicer...
"I mean.. Just be careful next time." She kept her head turned but held out her hand to help the other girl up.

That was how they met, starting with a tiny accident that involved glasses flying. Rubbing her tiny butt a few times, Shu noticed she almost make someone fall and as she was sensitive about glasses stuff, she recognized the poor victim dropped her glasses. "I'm so terrible, are your glasses - I MEAN are you okay? I'm so sorry!" She apologized nervously, after hearing how angry other girl sounded. Another girl looked really pretty, she thought after she adjusted her glasses back into proper position with both hands. She signed in relief as the girl seemed not to be very displeased of her rudeness, after taking her hand to sit up, she made a ninety degree bow. "I'm-I'm really sorry, I-I will be careful next time." Shu stumbled over her words and all of a sudden, remembered she was rushing for something important. She grabbed Ava's hand sincerely, "It sounds so abrupt for the first time we meet, but would you please come with me?" When she heard the first sound coming from another girl's mouth, she began to run, holding Ava's hand. No time should be waited. Normally, she will begin to chitchat with the girl and if possible, make friend with her. However, that day was an unusual encounter.

It was a meeting unlike any Ava had had before, that was for certain. She took a deep breath, attempting to calm herself. It was her first real day on the base and it was probably best not to make any enemies just yet.
"It-it's fine," she mumbled, not used to the formalities of being bowed to. Was she meant to bow back? She looked as if she was going to but then shook her head and straightened up, nodding her head in return instead.
"Wh-" was all Ava managed to get out before her hand was grabbed and she was pulled. She had no choice but to start running and she almost tripped again in her haste and confusion. She was shocked by the smaller - for Ava towered over her - girl's strength and speed.
"I don't know my way around yet! Where are we going?" She called, gripping the other girls hand so she didn't get left behind.

There was no time to answer Ava's question even Shu wanted to. It was her nature to answer question when being asked, but oh my, her cakes. If she began to speak, she might be distracted and slow down and someone might take her desserts. "I-can't explain now, but please trust me, it's a good place." Panting, the girl pleaded in urgent voice, went upstairs and out the dorm building. Corridor through corridor and across a grassland, they arrived at another building. Upon entering, Ava would know, by a glimpse, what place it was. Nevertheless the petite girl didn't halt, but dragged her towards the corner. "Hey Shu." Someone waved to the petite girl with a smile, "ANY CAKES LEFT?!" Shu was too busy to greet back and expressed her concern. "Of course......" the hunter drawled and - "Not! But I have reserved two pieces for you." He put the box on the surface of the corner and whispered, "Our secret, okay?" He winked and pushed forwards the box. "Thank you, I love you!" Shu beamed, taking the box and grabbed Ava's hand again. There was no longer need to hurry so they leisurely walked to an empty table. "Let's sit down here?" Shu took a glance at another girl for her nod before she sat down. "Here's cafeteria, where we eat for cheap. Sorry for the rampage, the cake sold out quickly and I slept late." While explaining, she unwrapped the box which revealed two cakes with lovely appearances inside. She gulped at them, "Halloween's special edition: pumpkin cheesecake?" The unblinking big eyes stared at them, bewitched. "Do you want a piece, for the trouble I bring you?" Shu gave Ava a slightly embarrassed smile ad handed over a fork.
