As much as Kochab enjoyed living in Asphodel, they had to admit it was rather lonely. Their family didn't really visit much- even though they lived in Cassiel's Watch, their family had originated from the Winged Isle and carried over some of their "Fallen should stay with Fallen" ideals. Kochab had not quite absorbed them, going to university at Grendel had certainly removed any remaining prejudices they might have had, but... It was lonely.
They didn't particularly have anyone special in their life, and weren't really looking. They were content for the time being, but that nagging want for a family was getting to be too much to handle. They had a stable job with a stable income, a nice apartment that they lived in, with an extra room they had made sure was present for the event that they would do this...
It wasn't like the desire for a child was anything new. No, they'd been thinking about it for some time now, but for one reason or another kept putting it off. Something told them that now was the time to act, though.
It was wrong- they knew that. But... Surely acquiring the stone now and awakening it next month would be fine?
Yes, that would do it. With that plan in mind, they set to work figuring out where to go to acquire the stone they would need.
