That night was supposed to be a night of celebration, entertainment and good will for the Dark Tribe. It was their night to celebrate their existence and what separates them from the others woven in the world. Their culture, their power, their knowledge, it was theirs to celebrate and share with their world, as the magus Gabriel and those he trusted hoped to do.
However, these thoughts were far from Pagan's mind at the moment, for it seemed he had nothing to celebrate with the thoughts running through his mind due to what he had heard and seen over the course of the night.
Since meeting the advisor, Zobek, he believed there was something off about the male, but he never believed he would be so off as to do something so...idiotic.
If the light triber wanted to act stoic, and prance around like he was above everyone else, save Pagan because Pagan was Pagan, then fine by him. If he wanted to look at others with disdain, fine. If he wanted to steal glances at Marie while Gabriel acted oblivious due to his unending love for the female, and Pagan tried not to role his eyes, by the Grand Weaver so be it! But THIS. THIS!
'By the Weaver I hope my eyes and ears are deceiving me. Please let it be a case of mistaken hearing and sight! One simply cannot be as foolish as a child in the toy room! I mean, why? Why!? That kind of craziness has no place in the world, like the candles in the hall! I mean who is going around lighting all those darn candles?! Their paws should be gnawed off! But...yes, stay on track...'
The chiser sighed as he quickly an d anxiously made his way down the hall, towards wherever the magus may be. He needed the break the news. He needed to find help.
He needed to find a fool to break the news in his place, if such a fool could be found.
"Well...happy festivities for all. Ha..."Characters Involved Ririka [Pagan] AstoriaFallen [Vesperus] CaliWolfe [Kyou]

He had left the crowd that had gathered to greet Lord Gabriel not to long ago and had decided to make his way through the area and see what else was around here. Which had lead him to the theatre where he had run into some familiar faces from the courtyard. He had learned a little bit about some things but he was still curious about what else was here. He was finally starting to get a good feel of the tribe and it's members and he was very pleased. He still wanted to get a feel for the area and understand all of it much better and so far, he wasn't really turning up much in that aspect.
From his understanding of those around him he didn't take well to idiocracy. It seemed he found himself annoyed by those who had little knowledge of the world around them, though he himself was quite new to their world. It was just how he felt, he couldn't help that he was woven the way that he was. Besides, no one needed to be around those types of anyway. One's mind would surely go mad if you stuck around someone with such foolish ways right?
His red gaze caught sight of someone up ahead in the hallway. He hadn't met this Tahtll yet. Though there were many he hadn't met yet. "Hello." He said calmly as he watched the other grow closer as he in turn walked closer towards him. Wings shifted slightly and his tail flicked at nothing in particular and he spoke once more. "My name is Vesperus. We haven't had the chance to met yet." Which was true, but it was true for all he met from this night onward. He was curious to know so many things but for now light conversation was good enough for him.

Kyou issued a soft snort as he walked through the halls carelessly. He had no real destination in mind for where he was heading, though he did briefly consider trying to find the dark tribe Magus out of sheer boredom... Wait, Magus... Magnus! The Tahtll ceased his walking all of a sudden and spun his head around, his eyes immediately casting an icy glare in the direction behind him. He scanned the area for only a few moments before he settled on watching his little bolf as it examined some sort of cloth. Cheeky thing had a playful look on it's face...
"Magnus!" Kyou hissed, and the Bolf let loose a small yelp in surprise. Kyou felt himself relaxing however as the creature lost interest in the cloth and discarded it in favor of return to his master's side. Normally Kyou would have been ferocious with the small devil but today he seemed rather calm and only released a breath of relief, both for the knowing of where his companion was and the fact that said companion hadn't destroyed anything. Yet.
"Don't do that." Kyou scolded. Last thing he needed was for his pet to run off and go missing in this place. Magnus looked up and offered a small whimper as if to say 'sorry' to the b'alam he was paired with. He made that face a lot lately...
The coal colored b'alam shifted his ears towards the noise of... A voice? He moved in that direction, Magnus almost clinging to his feet as he went, barking with enthusiasm of this new adventure the duo seemed to be on. It wasn't long before they happened upon the source of the voice, er, voices. Though suffice to say, Kyou wasn't certain about who he was looking at. Then again, he didn't know very many b'alam to begin with...
"Greetings." He offered, stepping into the area hallway with slight unease. "I'm Kyou, this is Magnus, who are you two?" At mention of his name, the Bolf gave a happy bark.

His mind continued to wonder around the situation at hand. He knew, HE KNEW the news needed to get to Gabriel before things possibly got out of hand, but how does one break such news to one who held so much power. Plus, these was the fact that the Magus would not think twice about harming someone who broke a law and or highly angered him. But such anger would not be aimed at him, right? RIGHT!? There would be no reason to harm a messenger, that is unless the danged messenger is an incompetent fool that cannot tell the difference between strike and stop, because then, THEN they would need to be dealt with in a harmful manner!
But back to the reality at hand…
Pagan was so busy with his thoughts that he did not notice the other presence approaching him; that is until they were almost nose to nose. It was then that the Chisler halted, red and yellow eyes growing wide and ears flicking back for a quick moment.
“Oh…”
Well, if there could be one good thing said about the stranger it would be the fact that he was purple, because how could Pagan deny the fact that purple is such a, well, grand and beautiful color. Ha! Sadly, that was all Pagan could say about him, for now. Well that and maybe, just maybe, the Grand Weaver answered his prayer for a ‘scape floofalo.
“Versperus, huh?,” the dark triber asked with a smile growing on his maw. “What an interesting name that has been bestowed upon you. And no, I do not believe I have had the pleasure of being introduced to you in the past, but hey, yo-“
His statement was cut short with the arrival of another presence.
‘Well he seems, interesting.’
There was so much going on along his belt. The black, the grey, the teal markings. And his wings. His wings! They appeared to be like the night sky, but with orange! So hypnotizing and marvelous. Dang it, they almost made Pagan down right jealous.
“Kyou, you say. And..,” He glanced down at the bolf with a questioning look in his eyes. “Magnus? Well then, I am sure this one here,” He nodded towards Versperus, “Can introduce himself. But as I was going to say to him, my name is Pagan.”
He gave a slight bow towards the other two before rising back home.
“I am an artist of the Dark Tribe, the one who carves great masterpieces out of stone. And sometimes boring records out of stone as well, but every artist has their boring day, sadly.”
Boring does not even begin to describe the days in which he is asked to carve records for Gabriel and others of importance. Luckily, no one has been able to find, or at least they never complain about the doodles he leaves in the margins.
“So, may I ask what brings you two to wander the halls? Are you on your way to the festival, or have you been sent to take care of work? And, as much as I hate to ask..”
Oh, that was a lie.
“May I ask if either of you have time to spare to help me with some…tasks?”

He watched in silence as the other, lost in his own thoughts, got closer and closer until he realized what was going on. Ves would have had no issues moving out of the way at the last minute to avoid any sort of collision but he had faith in the tahtll before him that he would realize he wasn't alone in time.
He listened intently to the tahtll and then looked in the direction of the newest addition to which the conversation had been interrupted for. His eyes focused on the Bolf at the colorful males side and he then looked back towards Kyou as he introduced himself and the Bolf named Magnus.
His gazed flicked over towards Pagan then as he spoke first after Kyou introduced himself and he smirked slightly as it was his turn to now introduce himself. He was pleased that Pagan had afforded him the opportunity to introduce himself, rather than introduce him for him. "My name is Vesperus." He said with a small nod of his head.
It seemed that Pagan had quite the job. As boring as it might be sometimes. Though he was fairly certain much could be boring. "Curiosity and the festival is what has brought me here. I'm fairly new you could say." He said with a throaty chuckle. "My plate is currently clean so if you need some help it would give me something to do."
His attention turned back to Kyou. "How did you come about your Magnus there?" He was very much curious about the Bolf.

Kyou examined Vesperus carefully as the purple male introduced himself taking in his lighter shaded wings and red eyes. Then he shifted to look at Pagan briefly. The name sounded familiar for some reason but Kyou had difficulty pin pointing where he had heard it before. Well, that wasn't really important now anyways, so the male brushed it off.
Magnus was quick to turn his head to face whoever was speaking at the time. He went from starring at Pagan, then Vesperus, and then he looked up at Kyou who didn't seem to notice he was being starred at. So Magnus fixed this by making a small barking noise. In return the colorful male glanced in his direction, but was swift to return his sights to the two other b'alam in front of them.
"He just sort of found me. I came home one day and there he was, waiting outside." Kyou offered a shrug of his shoulders. He honestly didn't know why the creature had appeared there, just that he followed Kyou ever since they encountered one another.
Kyou then turned his head to face Pagan once again. "I've nothing better to do, what sort of tasks did you have in mind?"

A toothy grin slowly spread across Pagan’s face as his attention bounced between Kyou and Vesperus. It seemed that the Grand Weaver was truly smiling upon him on this night. However, just because it seemed as if he had found what he needed when he needed it most does not mean the task that so suddenly fell upon him would be completed as he liked. After all, Pagan was a highly particular person, as could only be expect of an artist such as he. But back to the task at paw before things escaped from his paws and ran off to cause chaos.
“Ahem, it warms my humble heart to hear that two strangers are oh so willing to aid me in my time of need. You see,” It was then that he looked up and down the passage way to see if any other body was headed their way, but it seemed it would just be the three of them for not. It wasn’t so bad, but he did wish he had more as his disposal at the moment. Well, more protection so to speak. More cushion. More distraction. Let’s be honest, he wanted more minions to use and dispose of. “I have been given the important and dangerous task of handing off some information to the Grand Leader himself, Lord Magus Gabriel. It is very important that he gets this information as soon as possible. However, I do not know what Lord Gabriel is at the moment.”
He should have kept better track of the Magus. He knew he had heard once or twice where all the important figures could be found, but he was more interested in daydreaming about how he would be spending his day. It was supposed to be a day of relaxation after all, right?
No. NO! It was a lie. It was a day of more work. It was a day that was supposed to be spent “teaching” those who took interested in his art how and why he does what he does.
It was a day of boredom basically. Don’t get him wrong, he loved talking about himself all day long, but not when it was expected of him.
“So, would you two lovely Tahtll mind aiding me in tracking down Lord Gabriel? Of course we can track him down together, but should we become separated, well, hm…how should I put it? Should we become separated and you stumble upon him before myself, well just tell him…Marie has been taken.”

"That is curious.. I'm sure your Magnus there is handy in his own way?" He was truly fascinated with the Bolf and wondered what caused the creatures to want to bond to a Balam. Though, it wasn't really something he was TOO concerned with right now. There were other things, like helping this tah with a task. He wondered what it entailed. He was still very new to the tribe and to this world. He didn't know many though he had met a handful in the short time he had been alive thus far.
So they were going to be giving Lord Gabriel a message? That didn't seem too dangerous.. Right? His tail shifted at the thought and he looked at Pagan curiously. He had just met Lord Gabriel not too long ago and wondered if perhaps the Lord was still greeting everyone. At least he had a recalling of where the Lord was not too long ago. He had left there to come here in his wanderings at any rate. "I met Lord Gabriel not too long ago. He was greeting everyone in the courtyard. He should still be there I would imagine." He said hoping his words were a little helpful.
As Ves listed to Pagan continue on he flattened his ears against his head slightly as the mission became clear. Marie has been taken? Who is Marie? Who had taken her? He raked his mind for some sort of a clue and then he pieced it together. Was Marie his bonded? Oh dear. Now he knew why this was dangerous. "Ah... I see now why the use of the word dangerous was needed.... This isn't going to bode well with the Lord I gather." He said matter rather calmly looking at Pagan. "I suppose we should head there and tell him sooner, rather than later. You wouldn't happen to have any other details beyond the fact Marie has been taken would you?" He asked the Tah in a semi-serious tone.

Ririka Okay. smile Though... Vesperus is actually in that thread right now... I'm going to go and have him leave and I'm going to edit my post from earlier to say he had left from there and eventually ended up here.

"Mm." Kyou nodded. His head bowed slowly as he tilted his face to gaze at the other Tahtll. There was an assortment of things that his companion was good for, where would he even begin to explain it? After all, though he had yet to actually ask of it, he had begun the subconscious decision to assume that Vesperus was a newly awakened b'alam. Most of the characters that Kyou himself had met knew even very slightly about Bolfs, so he had made the analysis to assume anyone who didn't know what a Bolf was to be a newly awakened. Whether or not this decision was the correct way of thinking was another matter, one that Kyou didn't want to think about. He wasn't anything close to being a social b'alam, as proven by his mental state time and time again to prefer avoiding others to approaching them. Even if he did manage to socialize with others out of either Magnus's prompting him to do so or his own free will, Kyou still sometimes considered turning around and leaving the conversation. Just walking away and dismissing himself from the burden he was to deal with.
Such as right now. He wasn't thrilled about the task that Pagan was assigning the duo was to speak to the Magus. Setting aside the fact that it was the Magus for the time being- the fact that they were expected to break wretched news to any b'alam was a prospect that Kyou wasn't exactly thrilled over. He didn't want to ruin some b'alam's day with some news they really weren't expecting, or wanted, to hear. There was no 'normal' situation he could fall back on to compare this too however because up until this moment other B'alam had been very good at keeping Kyou out of their gossip circles and and other situations. The point being: nobody had asked him to be the bad news barer before. He was a bit tongue-tied on how to address it. This certainly wasn't any 'harmless task' that Kyou had initially thought he had signed up for.
Marie... Marie... His thoughts drifted to the name. It bothered him, because it was also vaguely familiar. Additionally, if someone had 'taken' this Marie then what exactly did that mean? Why would anyone kidnap a b'alam?
He was unaware that he was gazing, somewhat icily, at Pagan while trying to decide how to handle the situation he had just signed himself for. That was when Magnus began to wrap his paws around the black furred ankles of his master. Kyou blinked with delayed surprise on his face and lifted his foot slightly to yank it away from the grasp of his small friend, suddenly aware that he was being touched. The bolf unleashed a whine followed by a squeaky bark and Kyou in turn sighed heavily. He bent his knees slightly and lowered his already folded wings neatly close to the floor. The Bolf made a happy noise, and wasted no time in climbing onto Kyou's back. Granted the Bolf looked rather silly, clinging to Kyou's fur desperately to not fall off, but he looked to be enjoying himself. Much more then his master seemed to be enjoying this piggy-back ride anyhow.
"Vesperus was it? You said you knew where the Magus was? Maybe you should lead the way." He finally said. A funny feeling in his gut said that all they needed to say was that this Marie was taken and the Magus would react instantly. No need to waste time collecting more unnecessary details if that was the case...

He couldn't help but feel uneasy about the whole thing. Something told him that Marie was important to Lord Gabriel and he was fairly certain he was her bonded. He couldn't help but wonder why someone would want to take her. Did their Lord have enemies that he was unaware of? Vesperus was still new to the Tribe so there was a great deal he still had yet to learn. He couldn't help the feeling of dread the formed a knot in his stomach.
Something felt as though this whole situation was wary but there wasn't much he could do about that minus go forth with the information that had been given to him. He had seen Lord Gabriel in the Courtyard talking to Aurel but he hadn't stayed long after he had introduced himself. This was going to be quite the second meeting. He couldn't help but play how the scenario might go in his mind. It never really ended very well no matter which way he thought about it.
There really was no scenario it would end well. They were about to tell their Lord that Marie was taken and he really had no clue as to who Marie was and he felt as though there was going to be all sorts of blowback from the whole ordeal. His dark gaze turned towards Kyou and nodded his head. "Yes, and I believe we should likely head that way promptly. I'm not sure how long Lord Gabriel was planning on staying in the courtyard." He said giving both Tahtlls an uneasy look.
"I think we could head there now, unless there are any objections to that." He said looking between the two. He figured this information was time sensitive.
