Maeva fiddled with the list of electives that had been given out, folding her legs under her as she sat down. As a junior, they each got to choose a couple to take before they could graduate to seniors. With a sigh she looked through the list again.
"Care of Magical Creatures Magic Trade Art Herbalism Creative writing Divination Illusion"
There wasn't very much that was appealing to the young demon, but the options were slim and she had to choose regardless. Herbalism seemed like it would work well with the rest of her schedule, but what else could she take that wouldn't bore her to tears? Rapping her claws against the table, she peered over at her sister. Thankfully, she'd cut her hair short so they would stop being taken for one another. "What do you plan on taking?" she asked calmly.

Shannon worried the pencil top between her teeth as she looked down at the paper in front of her. Most of the classes she had to take were on the boring side so she wanted to take some fun electives. It was just coming down to deciding WHICH electives to take in the end.
She looked over at her twin when she spoke up and removed the pencil from her mouth to answer. "Not sure just yet but I do know that I am NOT taking Trade as an elective." That class just plain didn't sound fun at all! She looked back at the page and tapped her pencil on the table. "I think I'm going to take Art as one." She then edited her list a bit.
"Herbalism Alchemy Numerology Fine Arts Performing Arts Craftsmanship Divination Creative Writing Trade/Business Care of Magical Creatures"
"You really shouldn't do that," Maeva couldn't help but pick at her as she saw Shannon chewing on the pencil. "Who knows where you've had it or what it's touched." A shudder ran through her. It had probably touched all sorts of germ-ridden things in her twin's backpack, much less if she put it down on the table. "I dunno, trade might be ok," a trickle of doubt touched her voice as she turned her attention back to the electives. What would they even teach in that class, trade routes? Business numbers? "On second thought, maybe not til senior year at least," the demon sighed and looked through her list once more before crossing it out.
"I think I'll take herbalism at the very least, or maybe botany. Something with plants," she mused. "And maybe Divination; have you heard anything about that teacher?" More finger rapping, brushing invisible eraser bits off her paper.

Shannon gave Maeva a side eyed look then purposefully put the pencil back in her mouth with a teasing glint in her eyes. "I highly doubt trade would be ok. It sounds boring as all get out. I don't even think it would be worth taking in senior year." Nope, doesn't sound like something to take ever. She looked down at her paper again with a thoughtful look.
"You would probably do well in Herbalism." She agreed then shrugged. "I haven't heard anything about any of the teachers." Of course she hadn't really been looking for information on them she supposed. She paused for a moment then grinned. "I think I'm going to take Care of Magical Creatures. At least it wont be boring!"

'yeah, but you can learn about where the money goes and good investments more than likely. I doubt that it's all just learning the trade routes," Maeva shot Shannon a glare as her twin put the pencil right back into her mouth. She was suddenly glad she never had to ask to borrow a pencil. She probably did that to all of those and her pens. Uggh. Another shudder and some fidgeting around to get into a better position.
"I hope so, it'll be fun to learn about the various herbs and their uses," Maeva responded with a pleased tone. Propping her head up on her hand, she pulled her paper closer again. Reading the notes to the side of the classes, she noticed divination was a seniors only class. Great. "Looks like I'll have to find something other than divination, it's seniors only," she muttered. "Care of magical creatures? Sounds. . .interesting." Her tone said it most certainly did not. Scratching off two more options, she looked over at her sister's list. "Oooh, Alchemy might be fun." Her eyes lit up. "Mom was wanting me to take that. I guess I'll take that." The notes on that one made her face fall and she leaned her head back against the chair with a groan. "Seniors get all the good classes. I suppose I'll take Care of magical creatures too."

Shannon gave a pleased hum at the face Maeva made with her pencil chewing then took it out of her moth to tap it on the desk again. "Well if nothing else, you could probably learn how to grow your own from that class I suppose." She might be tempted to take Herbalism in her senior year. She'll just wait and see what classes are open then though, no reason to make a decision now when it was a bit a ways.
"Relax Mae, just means you already know your two electives for next year and don't have to worry about picking them." She grinned at her sister. "And this way we can take one together!"
Oh gross, Shannon was tapping the pencil against the desk. Maeva tried to discreetly shift her paper away. "Yeah, I've heard that the teacher is really hands on about that sort of thing," she flashed a smile. One of her roommates during her freshling years had been a major fan of the teacher. She'd been an active listener about all the joys of learning from them.
"We have four electives that we have to choose for senior year, Shan, so that would still only be half of what I need." Sticking her tongue out at Shannon, Maeva put a question mark next to one last class before setting her list back onto the desk. "True, but that doesn't mean you can copy off my notes," she replied, teasing her.

"Well that's always good. Wouldn't be much of an Herbalism class if you can't get your hands dirty." Shannon nodded and smiled back. "Truuuuuuuue but this means half the work is done then!" She stuck her tongue out at Maeva in return with a chuckle.
"Meeeeeee? Copy off your notes?" Shannon put a hand to her chest as she mock gasped. "Sister mine you wound me! Right through the heart! That my own flesh and blood would think so little of me as to believe that I would resort to such travesty!" She held the pose for a heartbeat after she finished speaking and then collapsed into giggles.

heart OuO I haven't slept yet and it's almost 8am lol
"I guess," Maeva shrugged, leaning back into her chair. "We'll still have to pick out just as many electives as we did this year if we pick out a couple senior only classes." Giggling a bit, she moved to put away her list. Into the folder and then into the specific area that folders went into in her backpack. Her pencil went in next, all nice and neat and ready for tomorrows class.
"I seem to remember you copying off my notes in a couple classes last year," Maeva shot back, smothering a giggle behind her hand. "Then we both got in trouble because they couldn't figure out which of us had done it."

*cough* totally thought I had replied to this awhile ago orz For that second part, I was thinking they were identical twins during freshman year, and my girl cut her hair to be different. You ok with that? c:

Shannon tapped her pencil on the desk again and nodded. "Well yeah but that's a way to go, no need to plan too far ahead after all!" She took her sister's cue and tucked her papers away in her own folder. It was a bit less organized then Maeva's but not by much.
"Yeah, but those were times when the class was so booooooring! Not to mention it was only a few times and you returned the favor." She grinned at the reminder. "Remember when we switched clothes style and pretended were were each other?" Of course that had happened many more times then just in the last year but still.
"True, true, but it's less to worry about if we have everything all planned out and such," Maeva replied. "Besides, it's easier to deal with like that, if you know everything you're wanting to take." At least that was how she saw it. Everything was easier when it was organized and separated.
"Soooo boring huuuh? Well I won't let you copy notes if the classes are boring this year tooo," there was the distinct teasing tone in her voice. "Only once or twice!" she was quick to retort. "Yeah, and most of the time nobody ever noticed the difference. Can't do that as well this year, not since I cut my hair anyway" Maeva fidgeted with the short locks. They were still a surprise whenever she had to touch them, even after months of having it this way. Sometimes she startled herself in the mirror because she was expecting to see the long hair like her sisters.

do you want them to be roommates during junior years or would you prefer if they weren't?

"Yes but if you plan everything out then that leaves very little room for adventure and surprise!" Shannon said and shrugged. " What if they decide to introduce a new class that sounds interesting but you already have everything planned out? Nope, best to leave wiggle room!"
"Yep! Like Math, math is always boring!" She said and gave a fake serious look, one of the corners of her moth twitching as she fought to keep from smiling. "True unless I cut my hair too but that's not going to happen." They both liked that people could tell them apart now besides just by paying attention to their style. Though like her sister, it was jarring at times seeing her twin looking different.
"You can always take more classes," Maeva responded. It wasn't like the academy limited the number of classes you could take anyway. "Though I can't imagine what other interesting classes they could introduce. . ." Trailing off, several ideas for some interesting classes popped into her head. Welp, scratch that. "Alright, alright, I'll leave some wiggle room for next year."
"Math isn't that bad," she retorted. While it wasn't her favorite subject, it wasn't so droll that she dozed off. The tip-off that her sister wasn't serious finally dawned on her and she bit back a smile of her own. "Thank goodness," faking a huge sigh of relief, she couldn't help but break into giggles at the end. "I always said we'd look cute with short hair, but maybe this is a bit too short." While her roommate had been enthusiastic about the chance to cut it, she hadn't been the most adept at styling. The result had been a haphazard trip to a hair shop with a frazzled caretaker amid the cries of both the twins.
Natsuko-neko
can I assume Maeva is a bit more girly of the two? and did you want to wrap this up soon, we can have it so that they each arranged to meet up with others as soon as they decided their schedules?

Sure there was not limit on how many classes you could take, but Shannon also had no plans on over taking classes either since that would be a really quick way to burn out. "I'm sure they would add a ton of interesting classes." Something she realized her twin had realized before she could say that. "Good, always leave wiggle room!" She then proceeded to wiggle around in her chair for a moment to get Maeva to laugh.
"Isn't that bad? Math isn't that bad?" Shannon raised an eyebrow, a mischievous look in her eyes. "Excuse me, I seem to remember a certain someone who was running around in circles because she could figure out the formula needed for homework that was meant to eventually be on a test." She teased with a grin. Of course that had been when they were just starting out in the Academy but it still counted! She looked over Maeva's hair at her twins words then nodded. "Just a bit. Thankfully it will have the chance to grow out a bit."

XD Probably, though Shannon has her girly moments, she's coming out as more of a tomboy Sounds good to me ouob
Her twin's wiggling got the laughing she was aiming for, and Maeva did the same. "Wiggle room for the both of us," she said with a giggle. Shannon was the only one who could manage to get her to act silly so easily, but that didn't bother her. The two influenced each other enough that their friends jokingly complained about it.
At the reminder of the one time she'd freaked out about math, a blush rose to her cheeks. "It was once Shan, and I recall a time when you came crying to me with the science homework because you couldn't figure out what was what," she retorted, teasing in return. They'd each had problems with different subjects, but it was good in that they could help one another out. "I'm glad it'll have time to grow, I'm hoping it'll get long enough I can put barrettes in it soon."
Glancing at the clock on the wall, Maeva saw that it was about time to go meet up with her friends. "Ah, it's about time for me to go meet up with Casey and them. I'm glad we managed to figure everything out before I had to go," she said with a warm smile. "Didn't you have plans too?" Maeva checked to make sure she had everything packed up and ready before she went to put her bag away. The nice thing about being roommates with her twin was that they didn't have to arrange for meetings when they wanted to chat. Grabbing her a light jacket, she checked to make sure she had everything before she walked with Shannon to the door. Their other roommate was gone, as usual, so they could lock up behind them without worrying.
