Shawn: Aaaaah.... S-Sophie? I guess you get to meet my family now...

Sophie: Really? -grips his hand and mumbles- Are you sure they're going to like me?

Shawn: Of course! If they think you smell funny, just punch Liam. -smiles and squeezes her hand-

Sophie: I've prepared. I found a really sweet body wash that might help us avoid the whole punching thing -grins-

Shawn: -grins- Okay, let's introduce you! -clears throat- I brought a girl home!

Tomas: -le gasp- Jesus, kid! Warn me when you're just gonna shou- -blinks- Wait, a GIRL?!
Liam: -snickers- About damn time! -grins at Sophie- Hiya, girl-I've-been-smelling-for-months. Papa and Beckie are out shopping right now, but they'll be back soon.

Sophie: -snickers at the introduction and grins- Hello, I'm Sophie Lafleur, it's nice to meet you both.

Shawn: Okay, so you met her... This is my... Fiancé? Girlfriend? Both?

Tomas: -sort of in shock, totally still (for once)- Girlfriend... Fiancé?! -jaw drops- Sh-Shawn, you're... -drags a hand down his face- Does your Papa know about this??
Liam: -eyebrows may as well have levitated off his face- Bro... Seriously?! Waiting until you're engaged to bring this pretty girl home? Even for you, this level of procrastination is kinda... -huffs- Well, I'm not one to judge. -opens his arms to Sophie- Come, it is tradition. And by tradition, I mean I want a hug from my soon-to-be sister-in-law!

Sophie: Both works for me. -tries not to laugh at the whole situation- I'm sorry, I'll take some of the blame. I've been keeping him busy with being my study buddy. -smiles wide and steps to Liam, giving him a tight hug- I can't fight tradition!

Shawn: Umm.... No? I didn't tell Papa yet either... I mean, I meant to tell you all sooner, but stuff got in the way. Though Liam is always on my case about it, and Beckie has been too...

Tomas: -siiiggghhhss- Well, okay then. Just... Would've loved some heads up though, kiddo. -scratches his scalp with another sigh, smiling weakly- I'm not exactly thrilled to be meeting my future daughter-in-law this late in the game, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hurt that you apparently thought we wouldn't approve or something... But, hey- -hugs Shawn tightly- I'm proud of you, son.
Liam: -tucks her under his chin, patting her back- We don't blame you Soph - I can call you Soph, right? - and we're all really pleased to meet you! No gonna say it's not a surprise, but it's a pleasant one! -releases her and grins over at his brother and father- Though, I'll warn you - Beckie might just strangle Shawn for doing this when she's not here.

Sophie: Sure, I don't mind. I'm just excited to meet the both of you and later the rest of the family. -steps back and moves back towards Tomas and Shawn, slipping an arm behind her man once he's free from the hug- We do apologize for the delay, but I hope that we'll get to make up for the lost time... and I hope she doesn't end up killing him. I do prefer him alive. -smiles-

Shawn: Yeah... We have some... Other news, but that can be said once Papa and Beckie get home. -smiles and hugs his lady-

Tomas: -pats Shawn's back and smiles at the couple- Well! It certainly is nice to meet you, Sophie, if I haven't said before now. I'm tempted to ask all the necessary 'how'd you meet' questions, but let's save those for when everyone's here, yeah? No need to repeat yourself. You can, of course, tell us all about yourself in the meantime!
Liam: -perks up at the mention of 'other news' but chuckles, heading toward the kitchen- I'll get drinks. Anyone want anything in particular? Shawn, you full-up today?

Shawn: I'm fine right now, so water is okay for me. -smiles, leaning his head on Sophie's shoulder-
