It wasn't cosplay, he knew that, but it wasn't something he'd ever looked into nor thought too much about other than thinking it odd and just American. He hadn't thought to look into it, or other American holidays, when they'd been told they were moving here. Now though is sister and cousin came home from school chattering about it and had sent him out, with them in toe, to a party store to purchase various things that were on a list he had in his hand. Apparently the door to the apartment needed decorating but they also needed costumes, they were kind enough to realize there was no way he could make them anything this fast - thankfully.
The trip on the subway had been quick, and simple, and the three had made their way into the party supply store amongst the swarm of mothers and children that were also making their way into the store for what appeared to be last minute shopping.
While his sister and cousin took off for the back, along with a whole mass of children and parents who were talking about costumes, he went to find the lights which they had written at the top of the list. The list was rather long but at the sight of the store, or more importantly it's insides, he had a feeling he could find everything he'd need and than some. Rolling his eyes he hoped he found the correct things, he didn't need his sister and cousin getting on him for a mistake.
