[Bonfire RP] Seeking Wood [Swarm]

The food delivered to hungry mouths, Swarm stood awkwardly on the outskirts of the the group. They all seemed very lively, as if used to this amount of merriment and community. It wasn't that Swarm didn't understand living with someone (Brother and Sister were very much part of herself), it was being lively as a Kimeti. Wasps didn't do all the laughing and dancing, they didn't chatter about their day and snuggle up just to be close.This was foreign turf.

Eventually the noise of the group began to grate on her nerves and she took up the offer of going for wood like a lifeline.

She found the branch quickly, moved around it a few times and then picked it up in her teeth. It was a bit of strain on her neck but not enough for her to go back.

3 - A small log. You can easily carry it by balancing it on your back, if you go slowly. +2 point

In order to pick up the log (which she'd nearly fallen over, thanks to the leafy branch half obscuring her vision), Swarm had to maneuver it onto her back. Once there it sat well and she continued on.

Another log joined the first and she tested the weight, taking a few steps to make sure neither of them would simply slide off before picking up the branch and continuing on.

4 - A large log. It is too big to carry back! If you're doing this quest alone, you must abandon it. If you're with someone else, +4 points each!

Swarm stared down at the large log. If she hadn't been laden down already, she might have attempted rolling it back. But judging by the side, without help, even that wouldn't have been possible.

So she stepped around it and left it behind. Perhaps someone else would have better luck.

Brother and Sister arrived to assist, one wasp settling on her back and holding the logs in the place. The other buzzed at her side as she placed that final log. She was feeling the weight now, an ache spreading down through her shoulder. This was enough.

The wasp kin returned to the bonfire; the wasps disengaging and leaving her as she entered the clearing. There she stood, on the outskirts, and watched the kin continue to frolic and dance.

It was only when one of them greeted her and offered to help her set down her burden, that she remembered to breathe.
