Tugging nervously at the white coat given to her, Brie arrived at the cove, unsure of what to expect when she entered. Sure they had given her a brief explanation, like that she would find her weapon in here, but it was still all too vague of an explanation for her. How was she even to find her weapon? Would her name be on it or something? Or would she have to pick and choose among what was available?

Sucking in a breath of air, the red head hesitantly started down the stairs, exhaling as she descended. As much as she didn't mind dark places, after the whole undying situation, heading into the unknown left her to me more than a little twitchy. Well, at least there was some form of light at the bottom. One torch to be exact.

Reaching the end of the stairs, she was at least relieved to find that the room was fairly small, so what little light source there was, there was no fear of anything jumping out and scaring her. To be honest, she didn't really see anything, aside from a wall full of runes, and a small humming like noise could be heard.

How exactly was she supposed to find her weapon? Was this maybe some sort of hunter prank for new initiates? Or were the runes themselves the weapons..?

Upon closer inspection, each rune appeared to be that of a different shape. Shapes of different kinds of weapons in fact. While examining each of the runes, the humming grew louder as she approached one of them, followed by hushed whispers, almost urging her to reach out and touch the stone slab. As if on instinct, Brie pulled the small object from the wall, holding it in her grasp, and praying she didn't touch anything she wasn't supposed to.

"What do I do now?"

As if on cue, the weapon began to materialize in her hands, forming a large blade of some kind. This was definitely not what she was expecting, to say the least, but boy was that cool!

:Well, it's about time you made your move! And here I thought we were going to be waiting all night!:

Startled by the sudden voice, the girl spun around, instinctively holding her new weapon out as if to protect her against any possible threats.

"Who- Who's there!?" Probably not the best action- to threaten a possible ally. Though, that said, where were they?

:Tsk tsk tsk.. As much as this is fun, if you want to find me, try looking down.:

Following the advice, her gaze was cast downwards, but nothing was found. "Is this some kind of-"

:Now now, I guess I need to be a little more specific. You fleshy little creatures aren't all that quick on picking up on things after all. You're not going to find my true form anywhere- that's long gone now, but you are holding what remains of me.:

"You mean, you're-"

:Ding ding! Point for you! Yes, I am you're weapon!:

"That-" This was- no this was crazy! She thought she had seen everything with the undying, but this- this was just straight up lunacy! "-this can't be possible. Last I recalled, weapons don't talk!" A small chuckle erupted in the back of her mind, leaving Brie to feel more than a little uncomfortable.

:If that's the case, then you must have lost your mind then, huh?:

"Maybe I have.. Honestly, with everything that's happened-"

:-well, too bad for you, you haven't. This is actually happening, and we're bonded now.:

"Bonded?"

:Oh yes. Fun fact: I choose you- you picked me up- bonded.:

"Then what all does that entail?" Seriously, enough with all the vague explanations already!

:Meaning, I'm you're weapon, and you're weapon only, until your passing. Your thoughts are my thoughts. Etcetera, etcetera..:

"Wait- so you're saying you can hear all of my thoughts?"

:Indeed. Fun, isn't it? It's been quite some time since I had someone to toy with! It's not like my selection was great, but you'll just have to do, won't you?:

"Is it too soon to trade for a different weapon?"

:Heh heh, unfortunately for you, yes. I, on the other hand, am pleased. I'll be looking forward to our upcoming battles we'll face together. Do me a favor, don't hold back, will you? I do so enjoy the sounds of agony!:

Wonderful. Of all the weapons she was saddled with, she managed to grab the psycho. Well wasn't that just peachy.

"So what am I supposed to call you, anyways?"

:Zane will do. And you? What name do you go by?:

"Brie."

:Simple. A little dull, in fact.:

"I'm not looking for your approval on my name! Besides, yours is just as simple! What does it even matter anyways?"

:My, aren't we touchy? Fine then. Brie it is.:

Without warning, the blade disappeared, forming a small charm which rested in the palm of her hand. "What happened?"

:Well, unless you plan on carrying a weapon out at all times, this is my unsummoned form. Don't lose it.:

Nodding, Brie fastened the charm around her neck, before making her way back up the stairs.

Well. That happened.
