I hope you approve o uo;;

Ophie shut the bedroom door behind her and the old wooden frame creaked with strain.

A toothbrush hung loosely from her mouth and a white towel draped around her neck and over her shoulders casually. Gliding across the room she sat down in front of the dresser, making sure she was quiet so she did not wake up her sleeping roomates who were tucked up tight in bed already. She was always the last to shower and first to raise, she found it a good way to avoid communication and akward small talk.

Ophie had been staying here for just over two weeks, the safe house was set up as a place for abused and vulnerable women to find their feet and she shared a small room with three other girls, two to a bunkbed. She was quite reserved and could not say she knew any one of them particularly well, however she had overheard conversations between them in the dead of night when they expected her to be asleep, from this she had gotten a gage for their stories. She felt some empathy towards them, anyone would, but had kept a distance from them and did all she could to make sure her walls were secure and high. She was not here to make friends and even thought she did not wish them harm, neither did she wish to become invested in them.

Her hand reached out for the hairbrush and on disregarding the damp towel started to brush through her hair delicately. When she arrived here her hair went down to her hips, but she had lost a lot of it due to its matted and damaged state on her arrival. Now her hair hung at the level of her armpits, but it was straight and clean for the first time in what seemed like forever and its deep chocolate colour had emerged from the dim mess. The scars from the streets still remained; her bruises, bites and cuts, they were faded but still noticeable and still sore in places.

Ophelia was an inoffensive girl, she had a slim build and and plain face, one of those kinds of people who would look good wearing nearly anything, some would go as far as calling her beautiful. Though she was sure that was only because of her doll like appearance, she did not have any distinguishing features or a style of her own which meant people often projected her own ideals and fantasies upon her. It did not help that for the most part she was a rather docile and stoic creature, it only added to the illusion. She finished brushing her hair and then put her toothbrush in the draw before standing up from the dresser.

She turned off the table light, leaving the room in darkness. Quietly she moved over to the window and pushed it open so the cold nights breeze hit her face. Wearing an oversized white t-shirt and plain blue jeans, Ophie climbed up onto the window ledge before pulling herself up onto the fire escape. The building was small compared to some in the city standing five stories high and to be honest was not in the best of shape, it used to be apartments that were reclaimed by the council due to its residents and reputation being... undesirable, it was then turned into the women's shelter. Ophie's room was on the third floor and the roof was off limits to residents, though that did not stop her from sneaking out of her room in the middle of the night to see the stars. In a place where privacy so hard the solitude it offered called to her.

She reached back and pushed the window shut before she climbed up the stairs and onto the roof. The sneakers she was given were too large and donated, but they did not have holes in and kept the water out; for that she was grateful. Warm socks was a treasure that too many took for granted.

She sat on the edge of the roof, her legs dangling over the side and she thought of flying. A lot had changed in the past two weeks, a doctor had seen her and had concluded besides a low BMI, dehydration and some small surface injuries she was fine and would be back to normal in a few months after some rest and a monitored diet. She had also made friends with the woman who ran the shelter, it was too early to write a CV and look for work, but Ophie had started doing some work around the facility: mainly cleaning and assisting with domestic duties. The woman had told her that when the time came she would personally help her look for work and write her a good reference because of her hard work.

She would not say she was settled in here, and honestly did not know if she enjoyed it, but she promised Castor that she would try and preserver with her recovery and for that reason she had not powered up and ran away like she had done so many times before. She needed to recover first, the pouted again. She needed to come to terms with the fact she was worth saving, still the lingering guilt stayed with her, undermiming her attempts.

The wind blew behind her and made her hair dance, but she could not feel the cold, her amber eyes closed and she took a deep breath in. The moon shined bright and full in the sky.

Yet Ophelia still felt so very very alone.

He'd been watching her from afar. It was better that way he reasoned. If he was too close, to regular, someone might suspect, and, Ofelia would need time. She would need space to breathe on her own, to feel secure without an unseen immediate hand to hold. Castor's form was muted as an eternal, and he knew it was better to remain that way. He'd taken a risk appearing to Ofelia before as a royal, someone could have come after her, and it was a blessing they did not. Sometimes, luck did favor those who needed it most.

Still, as he watched the building, Ofelia made her usual way up the fire escape to the rooftop. Wet hair- He chuckled to himself before making a running leap, landing just a few feet shy of the woman. Though- "ah, sorry. Suppose a bit of warning might have been appropriate." His outfit was no longer the finery of a royal but the iconic senshi whites with wings upon the rear that served no purpose. Standing at his full height, Castor smiled. In one arm was a duffle bag, seeming to be full of things.

"Hope you don't mind me not coming as I did before. It is safer that I do not draw to much attention here, more importantly to you." He bowed to her before shaking his head. "Though, coming out to the cold with wet hair. Ofelia please, A cold is the last thing you need. Especially now that you look even cuter than you did before."

Ophelia was in her own little world when Castor landed by her, her head jerked up to look at him and a small gasp of surprise left her lips.

Still, she did not move from her perch and instead smiled softly up at him. He looked different, his wings no longer hung from his back and his princely attire was set aside, still she knew in a instant it was him. She knew very little about royals but knew enough to know that Jett could take on both forms, there was no reason that would be different for the white moon equivalent. Maybe she should have acted a little more surprised to not let on that she knew more than she was making out, but the thought did not occur to her. Maybe he would just presume that she believed everything was down to magic and because of that did not question it.

Ophie pushed up from the roof edge to stand on her feet, she still lingered very close to the edge but showed no fear, she had already told him that she was not afraid of heights and she was used to scaling buildings in her senshi form. She rested her hand by her stomach and with the other grabbed her imaginary skirt, one leg slid behind another and she returned his bow, though hers was clearly more teasing than his own.

"Hello my Prince." She raised her head to look at him before making her way over to close the distance between them. She looked concerned at his words, did he have enemies that were surveying his movements? Well she knew that was probably the case. She was not worried about her own safety, escaping trouble and running away was something she was good at - instead she felt a slight twinge of worry in her gut, Castor was a lot stronger than her, and even thought she could do nothing to aid him she did not like the thought of people terrorizing him.

"It took me a second to recognise you." She nodded. "I don't care what form you take though, I am just glad you came back." She added, she could not say for sure but she had felt like he had been close by though all of this, almost cheering her on from the distance. That seemed like the kind of person he was and it had given her the motivation she needed to stick to the programme, even if it was all in her head. It warmed her heart in an odd way, to know that he had made time to come and catch up with her. "Thank you."

She did however pout at his comment about her hair. "Actually, colds are not caused by environmental effects, they are a symptom of chemistry." Her voice was quiet and soft as her hands went to stroke her hair. She had often let her hair air dry on the streets after washing it in ponds and water fountains and she was pleased to report that she had not gotten sick whilst sleeping rough, which was a miracle now she thought of it. Maybe her immune system was boosted because of her senshi powers? Who knew. "Besides, now I can escape it if I choose, I have come to enjoy the cold again. The thought of snow in the winter scared me a couple of weeks ago, but now I am looking forward to it. When I was little I watched the snowflakes dance from my bedroom window and I would think about Narnia, and how that the same white scenery inspired people to dream long before I was born. Even after I am gone..."

Amber eyes turned to look at the lights of the city that seemed to stretch on and on and on. Her face flushed at his compliment, but chose not to draw attention to it at all. This meeting, unlike their last, seemed less desperate and more comfortable and she supposed she had Castor to thank for that.

"So, how have you been?"

She asked, looking back towards him,

"Oh ho? Your prince. So rare that a lady would claim me." It was playful and he tossed his hair back, posing as gallant as he could. "Be careful of what you claim though, there are some who'd take that to heart and do you ill just for being near me, let alone being by my side." It was somber, yet he was afraid. One mistake could cost Ofielia her life. "Don't let anyone hear such secrets, let's keep our relationship on the down low hrm?" He winked.

"Plus we have your reputation to think of." It was mirthful even while somber. Flirtatious without intent. "Speaking of that-" He tapped a foot on the rooftop. "Did a bit of digging. You've been doing well. As for myself." A finger pulled to his lips he smiled.
"I've got to keep a few royal secrets. But I can say I've been going along under the radar fairly smoothly. No big fights, which is good and bad. Less.. mess." Things she didn't need to get involved with.

Things that were far less gallant that he made himself out to be.

"I also went shopping, seeing as I do have a bit of foresight. Like how you could probably use a new coat." He reached to the duffel bag, pulling out a fairly large, if moderately over sized winter coat. It was a rich chocolate brown with dark black and grey faux fur trim. Slightly fashionable while warm, yet not too bulky to be impractical. He fluffed it out before wrapping it around her shoulders.
"I'm happy." He could feel a small weight lift from himself. "That you have something you're looking forward too. As for winter happening when you're gone." He shrugged.
"I'd rather hope you plan to stick around to see a few more. I mean, I brought a whole bag of gifts and it's not even Christmas yet. If you leave who am I supposed to spoil?"

"I am good at keeping secrets, not that anyone would believe me anyway, I still can hardly believe it myself. Being swooped off my feet by a man with a silver crown and gaint black wings." If only he knew that she was lying to him, her gut twisted with guilt at the thought. He had been like a dream, saved her with the most noble of intentions like a hero from one of her story books, even now she was waiting to wake up back in the park cold and alone.

Ophie did not know what fate had waited her on the streets if Castor had not taken her under his wing, even if time with him was dangerous, without him she might not even be around now. This time was precious to her, so much so she did not care about the risks that came with it. "Thank you for worrying about me, though please try not to." She smiled trying to reassure him, she was not frightened in the slightest about his enemies and was more concerned that he might stop visiting her in order to protect her.

She was not ready to be alone again yet.

Ophie raised an eyebrow at his comment about Princely secrets, a small smirk forming on her lips. She had a sneaky feeling he was trying to protect her again. She thought about some of the acts she had committed in the name of her court and felt a sudden wave of shame. She could not imagine Castor being as weak and easily manipulated as her, but on the off chance she did not push the subject. There was a lot that she would not admit to.

"That is good then - I know its a very dangerous time to be in Destiny City. Especially for people like you. I won't even pretend to know what is going on, and you do not ever have to tell me about your role in it all - it does not really matter to me what part you play in all of this. But I would be really sad if something happened to you, so don't do anything too reckless, Prince Castor." It was almost a direct order, one that she did not expect him to obey in the slightest. Still, she felt like she should at least tell him how she felt about it all. Just incase he did fly off forever like she feared.

He moved towards her and she paused before feeling a weight on her shoulders, she looked at her feet as he hung the coat on her. Her fingers grabbed the rims and she pulled it across her to almost cocoon in the material, as she did her cheeks flushed.

"You didn-" She started in protest before she stopped herself, she did not want to seem ungrateful. "Thank you, you are too good to me." She could cry; a couple of weeks ago his words terrified her, now his kindness was making her heart ache. She still did not know him, but everything he had ever done for her was so genuinely thoughtful. She smiled and put her arms thought she sleeves, giving a small twirl to show off how it looked.

"I can not promise that... but I will do my best to see a few more. After all, I need to return your kindness someday. Though I will have to work out how I can repay you first." She had nothing in this world besides what he had given her, how was she even meant to start repaying him for all he had done? Before she could dwell on it too much her thoughts drifted towards the festive period. "I suppose it is Christmas soon, isn't it? I had forgotten that was even a thing. Do you have any plans this year? With your family?" It meant to very little to her now, what was Christmas without a family to spend it with?

Her eyes went to the bag he was holding in surprise, he had more gifts? She blushed and backed away a little. This was too much.

"Y-you are going to make me blush. You have done too much, really, my roommates will get the wrong idea..."

She protested, flustered and meek.

There was a sort of twinkle in his eye in how she went on about him. Castor was an egotist, and having a pretty face that enjoyed his existence and to him, liked him and acted very much a swooning woman? Oh he was soaking it up like a sponge. "My lady, it was hardly me swooping in to save the day. The only sort of swooping I do-" He leaned into her neck and couldn't help it. "Is not the sort that is very productive to my princely image. Or kind to a woman's virtue." He pulled back with a wink giving back her space.

"I'll admit, had I been younger, I wouldn't hesitate to make that an offer, but you need to heal. You're hurting and in pain. As poetic as it sounds to make me a prince charming, I don't want you recovering and healing while thinking I am a hero without faults. I am a man with a power and who aided you. The last thing I want is you to feel some obligation or that you owe me anything. I don't do what I do for gratification in any form." It was a very pointed look. "I will tease and I will flirt, but... do not forget Ofelia, I am not perfect. I am mortal, flawed and imperfect. My soul is not as pure as you think." Their previous conversation echoed in him still.

She thought herself beyond saving, beyond worth. That he was pure or somehow her better- it was a lie. "In my imperfections is that I already care about you, and want to see you one day free, no longer in need of me. It will come one day, but when that day arrives you will be stronger. Wiser. The world with be alive and bright for you, and it will be your own two feet that carry you down whatever path your heart would take you. Until then, I will concern myself, and I will watch over you until that moment you tell me you are ready. I will never abandon you before that moment." He knew that mental scares took time. While her body was quickly bouncing back it might be ages before she was mentally 'recovered' from whatever haunted her. His life was not his own, and already he'd set up a small account for her in the event something befell him. A notice to tend to her in the worst event. If he fell, she'd fall after. Castor was no fool, his life was bound to the fate of others.

A prince's life was not to serve himself, it was to serve others, to serve his people.

Pulling out a pair of boots, they were probably a bit large, but quickly were followed with thick socks. "I got them downtown at the shoe depot. Receipt is in the bag in case it's the wrong size." It wasn't, he'd asked the matron, but then, shoes could be odd. "They're water resistant and slip resistant. Socks are thermal so no worry about the cold. I-" He paused. It was too much? Maybe. Christmas was a ways off and really-
"We don't celebrate it much." Not really. No tree, no lights, no meals beyond company ones and those they got invited to. Him and Marlo, in their own oceans for the holidays.

"My brother prefers to be alone, and I prefer not to dwell on it. I spend my time working. It makes me feel more accomplished." He pulled out a small makeup bag before putting it back into the duffel bag.

"What would you want to do for Christmas? Aside from allow me to give your roommates the impression you have a sugar daddy who likes to make sure you have everything you need while your heal."

"Swooping is bad." She had to put that in there, she might have not liked many video games, but she did enjoy Dragon Age. "I guess that makes sense though." It seemed like the Prince was implying that he liked the company of pretty girls, maybe he would have walked past her if he had thought she was an old man that night, but she did not find that fact upsetting. If her looks had saved her then so be it. When he leaned closer to her she could not help but feel her heart flutter, she did feel a fondness towards him afterall. She pulled up the hood on her coat to hide her flush.

"Maybe, or maybe you just do not know what you want yet. There are magical forces lighting up the city at night - who is to say that it was not fate that brought us together, and that in the future I do not play a beneficial role in your story? If the chance ever arises, I will take it." She shrugged, maybe she would get a chance to save him one day, she did not know how an event like that would ever manifest but it was a possibility. Even if she just served as a reminder of the good he could do and the kindness in his heart, then that was enough. She would be useful to him some way, she could not live with herself if she wasn't.

"But right now, my gratitude is all I can offer." She admitted.

Ophie was hurting, but not as much as she was before. Her hand raised to her face to feel the remnants of her black eye, her knuckles still scabbed over and crusty from the fights she got herself into. There was a time when there was not an inch of her once flawless skin damaged in some way, now the bruises were fading but her body still ached. "I feel like I have been through the wars. I am okay though, most of it will fade in time and what doesn't - well I guess it will just remind me of how far I have come." She did not really care about what scars lingered, maybe she would have done once, but now it all seemed so superficial.

"No, maybe you are not." She admitted with a small sigh. "But I am so used to seeing the darkness in people, your light, it burns so brightly in contrast. Besides, I am just a bystander in this conflict, my opinion on you will not affect the outcome and it wont impact your life in any way, so there really is no harm in somebody like me biasedly cheering you on from the sidelines, right?" She knew nothing about him or the things he had done and she knew that, but Ophelia was selfish enough not to care about that. He had done for her more than she would have ever wished for, as of yet she had seen none of his imperfections and even if she had, she doubted it would change her mind.

If she could live with her own crimes, she could live with his too. She frowned slightly at his words and looked to her feet.

"I don't need you, I would survive if you were not here. I would be lost, I would be lonely and on my own - but I have been all those things before and my heart will continue beating like it always has. I have a stable home here, and people to help me find work and a permanent place to live, I do not need your gifts even though I am very thankful for them... No, I do not need you, but that does not mean I do not want to see you, if you were not here anymore I would not be sad because of my dependance on you, I would be sad because I would feel like I have lost something." Ophie shook her head, why would there have to be a day when she did not need him? She had survived with nothing before and could again. It would just hurt if he left, was it too much to wish for a friend? Someone to show her some civility and kindness. She was so sick of the good things she found in this world coming to an end.

"I know that might sound strange, we have only just met. However I have lost too many people in this world without telling them that they made my life a little bit brighter. So please, do not see visiting me as your duty, I would hate to burden anyone more than I already have." She refused to be seen in his eyes the same way that Jett saw her. She might need saving, but she was more than just a victim in all of this.

Talk turned to family, and it seemed that Castor would be as alone as she would be this Christmas. She found it sad that him and his brother seemed distant, but knew it was none of her business really. Ophie was an only child and always wondered what it must be like to have someone in this world who shared that blood and bond. "I see, whatever makes you both happy I guess." She smiled, amber eyes going to the shoes and other items he had brought for her. She was grateful and bowed her head in thanks, she would never look a gift horse in the mouth. She walked closer to him and put her hands ontop of his as he held the bag. They were warm, like she remembered them.

"You must be exhausted, having a job and being a hero is a lot to fit onto one plate - When do you get the chance to live a normal life? You know, watch TV, read a book, eat junk food and lounge in the bath? Those things." Sacrificing yourself for your dreams was one thing, but forsaking the normal life that she missed so badly did not sit well with her. She knew there was no happiness to be found in working yourself to the ground. Her eyebrows raised at his comment about sugar daddies, she had heard the term before from the women who she stayed with.

"I would not be the first girl to stay here who has had one, people do whatever it takes to survive. Though I think I would prefer to tell them I have a secret admirer, it should not be too hard to believe, I always have been pretty." She was very matter of fact about it, she did not know why people were always so ashamed to admit if they were attractive or not. She always found modesty annoying, especially when people were well aware of their qualities. It was such a pointless game to play.

She thought for a moment, letting go of his hands and placing them in the pockets of the coat. "I do not know." She shrugged. "We never really celebrated it at my house either, so I would probably just do something really mundane and relaxing - Read a book, drink some wine, listen to music and snuggle up somewhere warm and safe." That was her idea of paradise, simple pleasures that she had gone far too long without.

There was a grin on his face at her joke, and at the comment. Fate was something he tried not to think about. That and destiny.
"Oh? You'll take a role in my story?" He rolled his head back at her, tucking some hair behind an ear.
"You already have, but not in a way you'd expect. Sometimes, the story isn't as clear cut as you see in a story book." Standing he walked over, pausing before like their first meeting he reached out to embrace her. It was softer this time, not as tight.

"Don't lessen who you are, your words or actions. Everything has the possibility to change. Wasn't you putting your trust in me that night a change? A chance?" He stroked her hair for a moment letting himself enjoy the feelings of just touching another person. The small comfort.

Ofelia was stronger and more than she gave herself credit for. What credit she gave was lessened than what he saw in his opinion.
"Gratitude is nice. It's more than I get from most people. Just-" His worry was his worry, his fears his fears. Outright supporters of him were threats. "There are people with dark souls Ofelia. They mask themselves as everyday people, and keep an ear open to those who'd support us. Speak each praise softly, and keep it close to you. I like to be cheered on, what man doesn't, but-" He sighed. It was hard to find a happy balance.
"I just worry a lot about you. You aren't my burden you're-" He let her go, blushing a bit.

"You're someone who has potential. Hope. I've lost a lot of mine, so being able to help someone have their own is good for me. It's dumb, but it's a part of me."

He just- helping with material things was safer. Easier in a way. It made less risk, less attachments. It was a cold reality that never left him. Not even when she smiled and made him wanted to thank whoever was listening that she was doing alright.
"Normal isn't my bag. Though, I tend to go out on weekends." Shoulders went up than down.
"I like it that way."

handing off the bag to her, Castor made a low hum in the back of his throat.
"How about I visit then? I can bring some good wine even. Granted, i wouldn't be able to stay long, but I imagine it would be nice to have some company for a short while."

"Depends how good the author is, really." She still had no clarity when it came to Twilight. Her nose twitched with displeasure at the thought.

She felt something touch her and her breath stopped. The brunette moved her body to face him, hands resting on his torso as he held her. Her cheeks flushed, the first time they met she was in distress, this time she was very aware of the physical contact that they shared. "C-castor..." She exhaled, admittedly feeling some butterflies flutter in her stomach.

He was trying to comfort her again, whispering encouragement in her ear. He stroked her hair and her head rested in his hand almost limply. If only he knew how much she had changed already, how unlike her it was to let someone this close. She had not confided in him her secrets like she had done with others, However she had let him touch her, let him see her vulnerable, and it was all very strange.

All of this felt very strange.

Ophelia relaxed and her hands slid from his chest and wrapped around his waist, leaning into him and the embrace they shared.

"You seem to think I am not very discreet... I told you I am good at keeping secrets. All the words I have to say for you, they are just for you." Amber eyes looked up at him before drifting to the side, he did not need to remind her about dark souls with masks, she had seen through her fair share. Heck, she was pretty sure that she wore one too.

Nevertheless, her words were meant to reassure him, she would not shout his praises from the rooftops, but she was not going to hold back when it was just the two of them like this.

His words brought back memories, things that Jett had told her, warned her about. She shook the thoughts out of her mind: she was with Castor now - she did not want to think about anything to do with her Court or her mission. Castor slipped from her arms with a strange look on his face that made her worry.

"You are going to get your Kingdom back. I know you will." She mumbled, looking down at the floor. She had no idea if that was even possible, but she wished it for him, she truly did. He deserved it. "And when you do, you can give me the grand tour." Maybe she was living in a dream world, but the fact she was able to dream at all was a step up from where she was before.

It was not dumb. Ophelia did not know what to say, instead as he pulled away she reached out, and grabbed his hand with both of hers and held onto it tightly. She remained silent with a serious look on her face, she was not as charismatic as he was - there were no words she knew that would spark that hope in him like he had done with her.

Her serious look was replaced with a smile when he offered her his company again, "I would really like that." Her hands let go of his and she took the bag from him, pushing her now almost dry hair behind one of her ears. "Who knows, I might even have my own place by then so you can visit properly." She added.

"The roof is not exactly what I call private..."

He knew this feeling. He knew the shifts in tone and the ways a body would mesh with another when it sought comfort of contact. It was not sexuality, it was human, it was comfort and companionship. Grounding and all too close. Yet he craved it like a man dying of thirst. He was desperate yet forbidden from tasting that forbidden fruit that was attachment.
It hurt deep inside him. To know how his mind wanted just to not be alone, even if for a moment.

"You make me want to hold you and just share a stolen moment of friendship and forget that I am not a danger to you." He cupped her face, smiling ruefully at her, blue eyes shining with a knowing sadness.
"You are a dangerous woman Ofie. You are more pure and full of all the promise of a future than you know." He let his hand trace her jaw until it ran to her hair, combing through locks until her pulled her forward, lips meeting her brow in a soft kiss.

"Many would call me insane, call me a monster for what I must do. Yet truthfully I loved too much, too deeply. And when I lost all I loved it carved from me a part of my soul. So when I find, meet those like you, I fill what I lost with fragments of hope for a better future for you and those like you. I-" He sighed, shaking his head.

"My world is something so small, yet is all that I have left- I hesitate to take humans there, with me. It is as beautiful as it is dangerous. Perhaps next time, that is where I shall take you. Then none can threaten you, yet..." He looked past her to the expanse of the city.

"..." Silence filled the air as he considered his words and actions. Looking at her, he knew this path, know what and where it might lead. He'd walked a path like this before. It had ended in tragedy. It hand ended in death of an innocent women. It had ended with her begging for her life in front of his eyes as Tanzanite had snapped her neck after tormenting her. It had been a mercy that Tanzanite had not devoured her, forced her to suffer as she could have.

But Tanzanite was dead, and nothing but a memory.

"I have overstayed myself. I'll see you again, but do not look for me. I will find you, and then you can tell me what you have begun to see for your own future. What you have started to dream for yourself." He pulled away with the mask of himself back where it belonged. All flirt, no formality.

"Consider it date."

Castor, ur a babe

"Hold me. The moments are not stolen, they are offered. Any moment you want to share with me. I am here."

She did not protest. Protest the fact he was not a danger to her. Protest the fact that she was a pure creature. Instead she just stood there, a blush painted across her face as he pulled her towards him and kissed her brow.

"Love is insanity in it's truest form, but that does not make you a monster. I have found that most monsters are almost painfully sane, and incapable of loving at all." Ofie was sure she had looked a true monster in the eyes, and Castor's were nothing like hers. His were calming, determined and demanded she listen to him. She was sure he would never truly know what a comfort he had been to her; but found solace in the fact that he also found some comfort from her. If she could help heal him with her own hope, then she would hang on to it, even if history told her it was easier to forsake it. He had suffered loss, to what extent she did not know, maybe it dwarfed her own - but she could relate.

His words snapped her away from her worrying thoughts. "R-really?" It was hard for her to contain the excitement in her voice. "I would be honoured to accompany you! If you promise to keep me safe from all your beetles that is." She smiled before sticking out her tongue playfully, folding her arms and wrapping the coat tighter around her as he stepped away. She resisted the urge to reach out for him, pull him back towards her and keep him close. He needed to go, she could not be so selfish as to keep his company.

"You know where to find me." She nodded her head. "I will think about it. I promise." What did she want? The brunette looked out on the horizon and lowered her head slightly, like she was contemplating life itself. She was not sure, but if she dare to dream she hoped that wherever she ended up, she would be amongst friends. Her amber eyes drifted to him, a smirk on her face.

"It's a date then, My Prince... Be safe."

He did not hold her, or move to hold her. Castor had already stolen enough time with her as is, he'd not risk more. He gazed at her softly when she spoke of love, and felt himself force back his walls, raise them to buffer the emotions he wanted to feel had imposed an exile upon himself for.

"I- Yes." He backed from her, to the edge of the rooftop, knowing she'd not follow him so close. He'd push her away.
"I would protect you. Until then- stay strong, and do not lose all you have fought for. Soon enough, it'll all be worth it."

He didn't jump and run, he simply went to his home, to for the first time in a long while, reflect of what it was to be someone's hope.
