"Curse this fall weather!" A lilac colored noodle grumbled. She hated the fall because most flowers were withering up and 'dying' for the winter. It was hard to keep things cheery in the fall and winter months without flowers. But this determined female would do her best to keep some bit of hope and cheer going during the colder months. She was gathering the brightest flowers she could find and was going to dry or press them so she could look on them when ever she needed that little pick me up.
Truth be told even as she was collecting flowers Carouselle was feeling rather down. She had not seen either of her sisters in such a long time it felt like nearly forever. She was not a social creature by nature but she hated being alone. As she worked picked the last flower from this patch she sat down and sighed looking it over. She tried not to let her mind wander to her loneliness but with such an active imagination and mind she could not help that her mind wandered to having to spend more months alone without even so much as a friend. "Stupid fall." Everyone would soon start locking themselves away and staying nice and warm in their houses and there would be less time to try and find new friends.

Morrgana lay under a tall oak tree, her book open on the ground before her, keeping just enough pressure on it to ensure that it did not close. Next to her book was a pumpkin latte, one of her favorite things about the Autumn months. She sighed as she thought about the fact that Winter would be coming soon... Her least favorite time of year.
A breeze caught her, caressing across her face and she turned to face it her eyes closed as she reflected on her family. She really should call home more often. She knew it would make her mother and father happy, but somehow every time she thought about it she got distracted by something, normally the next chapter of a really good book. She played idly with the grass under her toes as she thought.

Carouselle groaned and flopped back onto the grass she was sitting on and shut her eyes. Her lonely mind started to try and make up a happy story to make winter more enjoyable. A special someone she could wait and home for and make thing a warm meal to chase away the cold of the snow or wet weather. To hold her and keep her warm threw the night. She giggled softly the depressing nature of fall for now forgotten and soon as the cooling breeze blew by her her nose flared as she caught the scent of something new. It was clearly not flowers of the scent of changing leaves, it was more alive and feminine. The lilac and flower female sat up slowly and her darker amethyst eyes scanned around trying to locate the source of the smell.
She got up and started to walk up wind following the soft fragrence that the fall breeze was sending her way. Maybe there was still time to make a new friend. Her soft muzzle curved into a smile as she saw sitting like a bright painting under an oak tree a beautiful vixen happily reading a book. She bit her lip to stop from giggling again as she started to walk towards the other female.

Morrgana flicked her tail from side to side engrossed her book. She seemed to be oblivious to the world around her. She sighed as she read the part of the book about the mighty knight slaying the dragon to save the lady fair. "It's so romantic," she said softly as she thought about it. She looked around her and saw the world as it really was for a brief moment. Some times she wished she could live in her books and have a happily ever after. Just as she was about to settle back into reading after her break in the real world, when she felt as though there were a pair of eyes on her. Looking around she found the other female, and with a shy smile she stood up.

Carouselle had been close enough to the reading female that she had caught the words before looking around. "What is romantic? I love a good romantic tale." She said her tail almost wagging with excitement. She was a deep deep romantic a heart longing to find her own romantic partner. She watched the other stood and sighed, "I am sorry I did not mean to intrude on your reading. I just caught your scent on the breeze and followed it to you. I guess it was a bit rude of me to just walk right up. But it has been a wail since I have seen anyone and I am very glad to come across such a lovely young lady. What are you reading if you don't mind me asking?" Okay clearly with the quick words and multiple subjects it was more than obvious that the floral female was excited and curious. What a great first impression. Oh well it was worth it to meet someone new.

Morrgana flicked her tail lightly from side to side as she listened to all the questions that were posed. After a moment she tilted her head to one side as she considered how best to answer each one. "The idea of someone getting to save their maiden fair from some sort of evil." She said softly ducking her head a faint blush tinging her face as she thought about getting to be a great knight. She smiled softly as she closed the book to show it's cover, leather bound and embossed with a rose. "It's a compilation of short stories from all different genres of book. She said as she carefully passed the precious book to the other female.

Carouselle gasped and smiled closing the distance between herself and the other female to look at the book, "Oh really? I love those stories! It is so amazing. I long to get to experience that!" She giggled and carefully took the book looking over it. "Oh these all look like wonderful stories! Have you read them all?" She asked smiling, "Do you like the knights or the maidens?" she took a few breaths to calm herself. "I am sorry I was almost going to say lets play knight and maiden."

Morrgana smiled and laughed, most got bored by her love of books never had anyone taken such enthusiastic excitement in one. "I like both the knights and the maidens." She said shyly. Her left ear flickered slightly to the back, in mild embarrassment, she wasn't used to others taking such an interest in her. "I've read them all yes. My favorite in that book is about a young girl who goes on an adventure to save her older sister's life after she get horribly ill." She paused for a moment before smiling gently, "don't be sorry about it."

Carouselle tilted her head watching the shy reaction of the other female. How odd. Was she making the other nervous. She did not want to make her uncomfortable. "Oh it is good to keep an open mind with both knights and maidens. Oh one about sisters? Do you have any sisters? I have three...though I never see them any more. I like to think if I ever need them they would be there for me. D...does the younger sister save her big sister?" Again she was all questions but she tried to keep her voice calm and not as excited and loud as before wanting to minimize any worry she was causing. "Oh I am sorry my lady I almost forgot, my name is Carouselle. Now I am not just some stranger talking too you."

Morrgana smiled lightly as the other spoke of keeping an open mind and of her sisters. "I have five sisters and two brothers." She said pausing for a moment as she thought about them, "I'm the oldest... I think. I see two of my sisters and my mother often enough since we live near each other, but I'm bad at remembering to keep in touch." She calmed as she she spoke 'okay talking to other's doesn't have to be hard,' she thought to herself. "Yes she does save her older sister, that's why it's one of my favorites. At it's core the story is about overcoming fears and weaknesses to do things not thought to be possible." She smiled brightly, "I'm Morrgana, but my sister's call me Mora." She said as she tilted her head to one side her smile growing.

"Oh wow such a large family? It really must be hard to keep in touch with them all!" She gave a nod as Morrgana continue. It must be hard to remember how old one was in such a large family. "That is very good to hear that she saves her sister. I will have to read that story sometime. I would love to see how she over comes her fears and doubts. I might be the oldest but the older siblings also fear things. And well I hate being alone so stories about over coming things and saving people would be just the thing to pass the winter time with." She giggled, "What a beautiful name for you Morrgana. I am not your sister but can I call you Mora? I mean if you want to think of me as a sister that is fine too! Then maybe we can act out some of your stories. I can play a good night...or damsel or even a big sister."

Morrgana flicked her ears in thought for a moment before nodding, "Yeas I think I would like it very much if you called me Mora." She smiled gently, she didn't have many in her life who were so enthusiastic, her mother and sisters yes, but even they didn't quite understand her. 'Though I suppose I never made it a point to make myself understood,' the bookworm thought to herself as she began to work out stiff muscles. "That would be most enjoyable I think, I have never played out any of the stories before." Her words were quite but the smile on her face spoke for her as well.

Carouselle gasped and looked at her a bit shocked, "You have never played any of them out Mora? How sad! They sound like such wonderful stories." She never thought that maybe Mora did not want to play them out because it was a rather childish thing to do and here the floral female was wanting to act out things she had never even read. "What one should we act out?" She giggled and smiled.
